Abstract

This study aims to shed some light on the significant impact of content videos in flipped learning classroom on students’ higher order thinking skills. The secondary aim of this study is to portray students’ perception toward the practice of flipped learning in assisting their higher order thinking skill development. A total of 36 elementary teacher education students at IAIN Surakarta are involved as participants in this pre-experimental study. Drawing on pre-test, post-test, and focus group discussion, the results of paired sample t-test show a significant difference on the students’ score of pre-test and post-test, meaning that flipped learning with content videos is effective to enhance the students’ higher order thinking skills. Furthermore, the focus group discussion reveals that the students positively perceive the practice of flipped learning instruction to enhance their higher order thinking skills. These results contribute to providing fruitful insights for teachers and school administrators as a teaching model to enhance students’ higher order thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan menekankan pemanfaatan kontroversi akademik terstruktur sebagai model teknik pembelajaran kooperatif bagi mahasiswa universitas. Meskipun pentingnya berpikir kritis dan pembelajaran kooperatif dalam pendidikan tinggi semakin meningkat, kurangnya teknik yang efektif menghambat perkembangan keterampilan penting ini. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan efektivitas kontroversi akademik terstruktur dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan mempromosikan pembelajaran kolaboratif di kalangan mahasiswa universitas yang mempelajari bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing (EFL). Melalui tinjauan komprehensif terhadap literatur yang ada dan studi kasus, penelitian ini menyoroti implementasi sukses kontroversi akademik terstruktur dalam beragam pengaturan kelas EFL, menampilkan adaptabilitas dan efektivitasnya dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran kooperatif dan keterampilan berpikir kritis di antara mahasiswa.Temuan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan mahasiswa untuk menganalisis secara kritis isu-isu kompleks, mengembangkan pandangan yang nuansat, dan berinteraksi secara konstruktif dengan sudut pandang yang berlawanan, mengindikasikan potensi kontroversi akademik terstruktur dalam menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kokoh. Sebagai kesimpulan, integrasi sistematis kontroversi akademik terstruktur dalam lingkungan pembelajaran EFL dapat secara signifikan berkontribusi pada pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan mempromosikan suasana pendidikan yang kolaboratif dan intelektual yang merangsang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya Hubungan positif antara Tingkat Perhatian Orang Tua dengan Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Siswa Kelas I MI Al-Islam Kartasura Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional di MI Al-Islam Kartasura pada bulan November 2023-Januari 2024. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas IA, IB, IC sebanyak 61 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik proportionate random sampling dengan teknik perhitungan teknik slovin, dihasilkan sampel sebanyak 53 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes unjuk kerja kemampuan membaca dan penyebaran angket perhatian orang tua, analisis data dengan uji prasyarat (uji normalitas), serta uji hipotesis menggunakan teknik analisis product moment. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa rhitungrtabel yaitu sebesar 0,5880,271, dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan positif antara Tingkat Perhatian Orang tua dengan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I MI Al-Islam Kartasura Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024, menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tinggi tingkat perhatian orang tua, semakin tinggi kemampuan membacanya.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool that can help the teaching and learning process so that the meaning of the message conveyed becomes clearer and the goals of education or learning can be achieved effectively and efficiently. Learning media serves as a learning resource for students to obtain messages and information provided by the teacher so that learning materials can further shape knowledge for students. But from the teacher's point of view, making learning media is for the needs of teaching in the classroom. In addition, learning media can contribute to improving teacher welfare. So it is necessary to develop the production of learning media that can be of economic value for the general public. This research was conducted using the ADDIE model, which is one of the development models of the Research and Development (R&D) method. The learning media used in the classroom are developed into products of economic value that can be sold to the free market using analysis and tests by experts. The results of the research are validations carried out by learning media experts who assess the feasibility of the media design display showing an 80% assessment percentage. Validation by material experts who assessed the presentation of material in the media showed a percentage of 90%. Tests conducted by students to determine student responses to the media showed a percentage of 95%.

Abstract

This research was motivated by implementation of the standard 2013 curiculum process during the Covid-19 pandemic which gave rise to new problems when carrying out standard processes in the 2013 curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic at MI Muhammadiyah Klaseman Gatak Sukoharjo. The purpose of this study was to analyze the standard of the 013 curriculum process during the Covid-19 pandemic at MI Muhammadiyah Klaseman starting from the planning, implementatiton, to learning assessmnt stages. The subject of this study was the head of the madrasah MI Muhammadiyah Klaseman, the informants of this study were teachers and students at the madrasah. This research is a field reseach eith qualitative method. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and dokumentatiton. The results showed that in carrying out teaching and learning activities based n process standards in the 2013 curriculum during the panemic there were problems: (1) at the learning planning satge, the teacher was not prepared toimplementation the 2013 curriculum during the pandemic; (2) the implemetation stage of learning is inadequate fasiities and infrastrukture, the difficulty of teacher in monitring the condition of students in online learning, students are not familiar with learning online; (3) at the learning assessment stage the problem is the teacher has difficulty in assessing student learning outcomes.
