Abstract

This study aims to shed some light on the significant impact of content videos in flipped learning classroom on students’ higher order thinking skills. The secondary aim of this study is to portray students’ perception toward the practice of flipped learning in assisting their higher order thinking skill development. A total of 36 elementary teacher education students at IAIN Surakarta are involved as participants in this pre-experimental study. Drawing on pre-test, post-test, and focus group discussion, the results of paired sample t-test show a significant difference on the students’ score of pre-test and post-test, meaning that flipped learning with content videos is effective to enhance the students’ higher order thinking skills. Furthermore, the focus group discussion reveals that the students positively perceive the practice of flipped learning instruction to enhance their higher order thinking skills. These results contribute to providing fruitful insights for teachers and school administrators as a teaching model to enhance students’ higher order thinking skills.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool that can help the teaching and learning process so that the meaning of the message conveyed becomes clearer and the goals of education or learning can be achieved effectively and efficiently. Learning media serves as a learning resource for students to obtain messages and information provided by the teacher so that learning materials can further shape knowledge for students. But from the teacher's point of view, making learning media is for the needs of teaching in the classroom. In addition, learning media can contribute to improving teacher welfare. So it is necessary to develop the production of learning media that can be of economic value for the general public. This research was conducted using the ADDIE model, which is one of the development models of the Research and Development (R&D) method. The learning media used in the classroom are developed into products of economic value that can be sold to the free market using analysis and tests by experts. The results of the research are validations carried out by learning media experts who assess the feasibility of the media design display showing an 80% assessment percentage. Validation by material experts who assessed the presentation of material in the media showed a percentage of 90%. Tests conducted by students to determine student responses to the media showed a percentage of 95%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penguatan karakter religius peserta didik di madrasah sebagai respons terhadap perubahan sosial, perkembangan teknologi, dan tantangan pembinaan moral peserta didik. Manajemen kesiswaan memiliki peran strategis karena berkaitan langsung dengan pengaturan, pembinaan, pengawasan, dan evaluasi perilaku peserta didik dalam kehidupan madrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan manajemen kesiswaan dalam pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik di MTs Negeri 2 Sukoharjo Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026, serta mengidentifikasi hasil, faktor pendukung, dan faktor penghambat dalam proses tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kesiswaan dilaksanakan melalui fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, serta pengawasan dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan tersebut tampak pada integrasi program pembiasaan religius, pembagian peran antarunsur madrasah, keteladanan guru, serta pemantauan perilaku peserta didik secara berkala. Pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik tampak pada ketaatan beribadah, kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab moral, dan kepatuhan terhadap tata tertib serta norma madrasah. Faktor pendukung meliputi komitmen kepala madrasah, keteladanan guru, kultur religius madrasah, dan kerja sama orang tua. Sementara itu, faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan guru pembina, pengaruh lingkungan luar, penggunaan gawai yang kurang terkontrol, dan heterogenitas latar belakang keagamaan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembentukan karakter religius memerlukan manajemen kesiswaan yang terencana, kolaboratif, dan berkelanjutan.
