Abstract

This research aims to determine: the influence of teachers' teaching skills on students' interest and learning outcomes in integrated science subjects at MTs Al- Anshar, Konawe Regency. The population in this study was all 128 MTs Al- Anshar students, the sample used in this study was 97 students. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaires, documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is inferential analysis techniques (normality test, linearity test, heteroscedasticity test, simple linear regression test, t test, coefficient of determination test and MANOVA test). The results of this research show that: 1) there is an influence of teacher teaching skills on student interest with a tcount of 3.699 > ttable 1.661. 2). There is an influence of teacher teaching skills on science learning outcomes with a tcount of 4.231 > ttable 1.661. 3) there is an influence of teacher teaching skills on student interest and learning outcomes, based on the MANOVA test, the F values are respectively 2.018, 1.994, 1.969, 2.186 with respective significance values of 0.001, 0.001, 0.002,  0.0007 smaller than 0,05.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Determine the effect of the PBL model assisted by Crossword Puzzles on motivation and learning outcomes of Integrated Science. 2) Test the differences in learning motivation of students taught using conventional models with PBL models assisted by crossword puzzles. 3) Test the differences in learning outcomes of Integrated Science students. This study is a quasi-experimental study using the Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study was all students of class VIII of SMPN 23 Kendari. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with several criteria and obtained class VIII A as the control class and class VIII C as the experimental class. Data collection used a questionnaire to measure motivation and multiple choices to measure learning outcomes. Data collection techniques in the form of giving pretests and posttests. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the PBL model assisted by Crossword Puzzles on motivation and learning outcomes of Integrated Science with a significant value of 0.002 <0.05 and there was a difference in motivation and learning outcomes of Integrated Science with significant values of 0.000 <0.05 and 0.000 <0.05 respectively.
