<![CDATA[Children are one of the most vulnerable groups at risk of being affected by disasters. The frequent occurrence of repeated earthquakes in the city of Padang has caused panic among students during lessons. This is because students are still weak in disaster preparedness. Efforts that can be made include improving earthquake and tsunami disaster preparedness in the school community through disaster preparedness education and training. SMP Negeri 13 Padang is one of the schools located in the earthquake and red tsunami zone, which already has a community of disaster smart students. However, they have never received disaster preparedness education and training. This activity aims to increase the capacity for earthquake and tsunami disaster preparedness in the school community. The method used is planning with program socialization; implementing activities to provide disaster preparedness education and emergency training through lectures, demonstrations, and simulations; providing disaster preparedness pocketbooks to the school environment; and evaluating by pretest and post-test of activity results. The activity results are the average increase in student knowledge, namely in the disaster-smart student community from 13.28 to 13.89, an increase in earthquake and tsunami disaster preparedness skills in the disaster-smart student community at SMP Negeri 13 Padang, and the availability of an alert pocketbook. Disaster. It is hoped that schools can provide and develop disaster preparedness education on an ongoing basis by including it in the school education curriculum.]]>

<![CDATA[The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) spread so fast to the various countries and cause death. One of the susceptible groups that can be infected by this virus is the elderly. There were 190,000 cases (95%) in the elderly of the 60th and over until April 30, 2020. The mortality rate of COVID-19 cases in the Indonesian elderly got the second-highest number (34.2%) of 302 people. The positive confirmations of COVID-19 in West Sumatra have reached 148 people, with 18.18% from the elderly group. Padang City is the city with the highest number of positive confirmations in West Sumatra, which there were 99 people got infected. Andalas Urban Village in the East Padang Sub-district has the highest elderly population in the Padang city; its total is 8,250 people. The efforts to maintain the elderly's health were through the elderly Integrated Healthcare Center at the neighborhood and hamlet levels. The purpose of community service was to increase the knowledge and awareness of the elderly and the accompanying family in maintaining health, especially in the preventing of Covid-19. This method is to educate the elderly cadres and health promotion to the elderly. The activity result is implementing Covid-19 preventive education to the three elderly cadres in Andalas Urban Village, Padang City. This activity also encourages the implementation of delivery package to the elderly's houses. The package contains honey, snacks, liquid soap, masks, and a brochure on Covid-19 prevention to the elderly.]]>

<![CDATA[Nanggalo is vulnerable to social problems such as juvenile delinquency. Juvenile delinquency cases such as drug abuse, theft often occur around Surau Gadang Village, Nanggalo. One of the factors that cause delinquency is the lack of moral education. One of the qualified moral education is the religious approach. One of the religious institutions is the house of tahfiz Al-Qur'an. Based on the results of interviews with local RT officials, it was found that there had never been counseling about drugs in the area. In addition, there is a tahfidz institution as a means of preventing drug abuse, but the number of students is still minimal due to lack of promotion. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of teenagers about drugs and increase the promotion of the tahfidz house. Community service uses health promotion methods by distributing anti-drug flyers, education about drug prevention to teenagers and promoting the Baitul Qu'ran tahfidz house. The activity was carried out at the Raya Nanggalo Mosque and Al-Qadar Mosque. The results of this community service show that there is an increase in adolescent knowledge before and after being given counseling about drugs. Around 49 teenagers in Surau Gadang Village have been exposed to information about the existence of the Baitul Qur'an tahfidz house. It is hoped that in the future the promotion of the Tahfidz house can be carried out more broadly, such as using social media.]]>

<![CDATA[Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) or cardiovascular disease is currently one of the main and first causes of death in developed and developing countries, including Indonesia. The prevalence of CHD in Indonesia, based on the estimated number of sexes, shows around 352,618 men and 442,674 women. Based on age, the highest prevalence is in the population aged 65-74 years (3.6%) which means that out of 100 people 3.6 suffer from CHD. Hospital Health Promotion (PKRS) is very important and necessary in prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts, so that all aspects of health services can be carried out in a comprehensive manner. The activities carried out were in the form of health promotion using the counseling method (delivering prepared material) using posters and pocket books on what coronary heart disease is, its symptoms, causes, good food for sufferers and forms of first aid for coronary heart sufferers. Before delivering the material, a pre-test was carried out and after the material was given a post-test. The target of the activity is patients in the cardiac polyclinic of dr. Rasidin Padang. After counseling there was a significant increase in patient knowledge about the material presented from an average of 60 to 75, or an increase in knowledge of 20%. It is suggested that hospitals can put posters in the hospital waiting rooms around health service polyclinics so that health information can be seen by patients at the hospital.]]>

<![CDATA[Padang Beach Tourism Area is one of the vital areas in the Adaptation of New Habits period because it has the potential to cause many people to gather in the same place. Based on preliminary studies, there were many workers who do not wear masks and keep their distance. Efforts were needed to increase worker compliance with health protocols and the Adaptation of New Habits in preventing Covid-19. The aim of this activity was to increase the knowledge of workers in the Padang Coast tourist area regarding the implementation of Adaptation to New Habits after the Covid-19 pandemic. The community service method used was health education. The participants in the counseling were 2 employees of the Padang City Tourism Office as well as 19 cleaners and a SAR team who worked at Padang Beach. The activity phase begins with preparation, implementation of counseling and evaluation. The counseling held at the Cimpago Beach parking lot, Padang City. Result of the activity, an increase in participants' knowledge about new habits after the Covid-19 pandemic was obtained based on an increase in pre-test and post-test scores. Apart from that, there was a commitment from the Padang City Tourism Office to ensure that officers working at Padang Beach were able to be examples in implementing new habits at tourist locations. To ensure this, posters and leaflets were given on how to wash hands, how to wear masks, and how to behave in a healthy and clean manner outside and inside the house. It can be concluded that outreach activities are able to increase participants' knowledge about new habits after the Covid-19 pandemic. It is hoped that outreach participants can convey the information they have obtained to business actors and visitors in the Padang Beach tourist area.]]>

<![CDATA[Tourist destinations are one of the vulnerable places for the spread of Covid-19, as they allow interactions with visitors and food business operators around the tourism locations. Based on data from 2021, it was found that the public's compliance with health protocols in tourist areas in Kota Padang is still low, which poses a risk of increasing Covid-19 cases. Implementing health protocols by following the 5M Movement (maintaining distance, wearing masks, handwashing, avoiding crowds, and reducing travel) at tourist spots such as Pantai Padang is a necessary step for both visitors and business operators in the vicinity of tourist areas to protect themselves and minimize the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this activity is to educate tourism stakeholders about the importance of implementing health protocols at tourist locations. The implementation method to improve discipline and compliance in the application of health protocols at tourist sites includes conducting location surveys and coordination with partners, educating visitors and tourism stakeholders on health protocol implementation, and conducting evaluations. This activity also provides health promotion materials and distributes masks to visitors and provides handwashing facilities for food business operators. The results of the activity include an increase in participants' knowledge of health protocol implementation in tourist areas, from 13.28 to 13.89, with an average increase of 2.11 points. It is hoped that the Tourism Department will continue to monitor and enhance awareness among tourism stakeholders about the importance of implementing health protocols at tourist destinations.]]>
