Abstract

Malay Arabic is writing that uses Arabic writing, especially the Hijaiyah letters, through the medium of the Malay language. The emergence of Malay Arabic writing is in line with the development of Islam in the Malay region, then introduced by great scholars who spread Islam through Arabic writing in Malay. If Latin letters are read from left to right then, Malay Arabic letters are read from right to left. The methodology used in the research is descriptive method. The object of this research is the ability to read Malay Arabic writing, while the subject is Indonesian Language and Literature Education Class 2023 Class B FKIP Riau University students. The data analysis technique uses quantitative data analysis. Aims to analyze the data obtained in the field, namely the Malay Arabic reading speed test by reading one story. Reader speed is taken to measure how fast 2023B students are in reading paragraphs in Hasnah Faizah's Malay Arabic storybook, entitled "Lebai Malang". The results of the average reading speed value of class 2023B of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University are 23 students with different speed categories, from 23 samples used it is known that the reading speed of Malay Arabic writing, Indonesian Language and Literature Education Class 2023 B students have low category assessment criteria with the highest KEM score of 119.232 and the lowest score of 3.

Abstract

The research aims to improve children's speech skills through the implementation of image media learning at Raudhatul Athfal Al-Huda in Tonang River Village. The research method used is class action research (PTK) with Kemmis and McTaggart models. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the learning method of image media has a positive impact on children's speaking skills. There was a significant improvement in children's ability to describe objects in detail and specifically as well as in describing images. More than 89% of students achieved a significant improvement in speech skills after following this guidance. In conclusion, the implementation of image media learning is effective in improving speaking skills in Raudhatul Athfal Al-Huda, Tonang River Village. The suggestion of this study is to continue the application of this method by considering the needs and development of children in developing speech skills to improve language teaching approaches at an early age.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran Project Based Learning adalah pendekatan pembelajaran menggunakan proyek sebagai inti dari proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap keterampilan menulis teks biografi siswa kelas X di SMAN 2 Tambang. Permasalahan utama yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan menulis teks biografi siswa yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang mampu melibatkan siswa secara aktif dan bermakna. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan bentuk pretest-posttest control group. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan yang diberikan kepada dua kelompok siswa: kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model PjBL, dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis siswa meningkat secara signifikan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran. Rata-rata nilai menulis pada kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 49,1 menjadi 86,3, sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat dari 52,9 menjadi 81,2. Uji t menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran project based learning menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks biografi.
