Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how students' interest in the History of Economic Thought course is impacted by their peer environment and level of learning independence 33 students serving as samples for this research, which employed a purposeful sampling technique. and a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression. With t-values of 3.024 (p = 0.007) and 2.093 (p = 0.049), respectively, the study results show that learning independence (X1) and peer environment (X2) have a substantial partial influence on learning interest. With an F-value of 8.606 (p = 0.002), the simultaneous F-test demonstrates that both independent factors have a substantial impact on students' learning interest. With a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.409, learning independence and peer environment account for 40.9% of the variation in learning interest, whereas other factors outside the model account for 59.1%. These results highlight how crucial learning autonomy and a positive social environment are for raising students' motivation to study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan Zoom Cloud Meetings dan efektivitas komunikasi dalam perkuliahan daring terhadap keaktifan belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 30 mahasiswa Stambuk 2022, dan dianalisis menggunakan model regresi berganda dengan perangkat lunak SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Zoom Cloud Meetings secara signifikan memengaruhi keaktifan belajar mahasiswa. Sementara itu, efektivitas komunikasi tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan secara parsial, tetapi memiliki pengaruh signifikan secara simultan bersama dengan penggunaan Zoom. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini mampu menjelaskan 63,1% variasi keaktifan belajar mahasiswa, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengelolaan media pembelajaran interaktif dan komunikasi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keaktifan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the treatment of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the gold and jewelry trade as well as business actors' compliance with established tax regulations. Even though Minister of Finance Regulation Number 30/PMK.03/2014 and Law Number 7 of 2021 stipulate the obligation to collect VAT of 11% on sales of gold and jewelry, research results show that the majority of gold shops in Deli Serdang have not implemented this provision. This is caused by a lack of understanding by business actors regarding tax regulations, minimal outreach from the authorities, and concerns that the implementation of VAT will have a negative impact on consumer purchasing power. This research emphasizes the importance of increasing ongoing outreach, supervision and training efforts to encourage compliance by business actors in carrying out tax obligations. The government also needs to balance law enforcement with a supportive approach to maintaining the stability and sustainability of the national jewelry industry.

Pada penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan alat analisis statistik SPSS 22.0 dan menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana untuk bisa menunjukkan seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran google classroom terhadap kemandirian belajar mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi UNIMED, pada penelitian ini menggunakan 40 sampel mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi UNIMED. Instrumen penelitian dengan membagikan kuesioner pada konsumen. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh sebesar 62,1% hasil ini didapatkan pada uji model summary, kemudian dengan nilai koefisien regresi X sebesar 0,712 menyatakan bahwa setiap penambahan 1% nilai penggunaan media pembelajaran, maka nilai kemandirian belajar bertambah sebesar 0,712 hal ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif pada penelitian ini.

Abstract

Unemployment and poverty are two social problems that are often interrelated in the context of a region's economic development. North Sumatra Province, as a province that has a variety of potential resources, also faces serious challenges related to unemployment and poverty. This research aims to analyze the influence of unemployment on poverty in North Sumatra Province. In carrying out this research, the researcher used a research method, namely the quantitative method of inferential statistics. The data used in this research is secondary data where this data was obtained by the author from the publications of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sumatra Province from 2013-2022. And the data used is data on unemployment and poverty rates in North Sumatra Province. This research tests the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable and the technique used uses SPSS which is analyzed using the classic assumption test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test, and simple regression test. The regression coefficient shows that the higher unemployment is, the more poverty tends to increase. And as for the research results obtained, namely the calculated t value is greater than the t table, then H0 is rejected. This means that there is a positive and significant influence of unemployment on poverty in North Sumatra.

Abstract

The focus of this study is to analyze student interest in the economics education program to become a teacher at UNIMED Stambuk 2022. This study is qualitative research that uses a questionnaire distribution approach. The population of this research is 30 students majoring in economic education in Stambuk 2022. The ability of economic education students to become teachers is very important in determining the quality of education. Several aspects that influence teacher readiness include the role of parents, educational outcomes, peer orientation, and practical teaching experience. However, interest in the teaching process, interpersonal communication skills, and a deep understanding of basic educational material also play a positive role in increasing teacher readiness. The lack of interest of economic education students in teaching economics subjects can be caused by various factors such as challenges in teaching these subjects, lack of awards, and the complexity of the certification process. Evaluation of elements that impact readiness to become a teacher, such as physical and mental abilities, mastery of subject matter, and social abilities, can also help increase teacher interest in economics education students. Motivation and interest play an important role in shaping readiness to become a teacher.
