Abstract

Introduction: the disease of tuberculosis is still a major problem faced by most of the people of the world especially in developing countries. Prevalence of pulmonary TUBERCULOSIS in the community because of the alleged risk of transmission still remains large, especially the transmission because the same house contact with Pulmonary TB sufferers. The research aims to find out the factors that influence infection of TB in children 0-18 years who are in contact with sufferers of the same House. Methods: this research is quantitative research with cross sectional design performed in Clinics Waingapu, East Sumba. By taking a sample of children aged 0-18 years the same House with Pulmonary TB sufferer BTA (+) amounted to 55. Data collection is done with the interview, observation and measurement of the nutritional status of the child and a density of residence. Results: the level of knowledge of respondents with the chi square analysis Asymp. Sign. (2-sided) = 0,043 Ha α = 0,043 < < 0.05, family behavior when coughing by 0,016 = Ha = α < 0,016 < 0.05, nutritional status of families 0,020 = Ha = 0,020 < 0.05 family residences and a density of toddlers with 0,004 = α = 0,004 Ha < < 0.05. Conclusion: preventive behavioral factors of tuberculosis, nutritional status and a density of residential as a factor that influences the occurrence of TB infection in children who are in contact with sufferers in the same House Clinics Waingapu.

Abstract

Introduction: Learning motivation plays an important role in the learning process because the learning process requires the interaction and active participation of the learners to succeed. Method: Researchers use Descriptive research with the number of samples as many as 75 students determined by Purposive Sampling data collected using questionnaires and analyzed univariately. Results: motivation to learn students based on intrinsic motivation employee class (good interest 84%, less than 16%, discipline of both 88%, approximately 12%) and regular classes (interest either 96%, less than 4%, discipline of both 98%, less than 2%) And extrinsic motivation of employee class (good family 100%, good friend 88%, less 12%, lecturer good 100%, and environment good 96%, less 4%). Regular class (good family 98%, less 2%, good friend 98%, less 2%, lecturer good 98%, less 2%, and good environment 100%). Conclusion: Student learning motivation is divided into 2 namely intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation consists of interest and discipline whereas extrinsic motivation consists of the support of family, friends, lecturers and the environment. Both types of motivation between employee class and regular class are both in the range/category either.

Abstract

Background: Healthcare services is a form of health care that has no legal basis is 1945 constitution of every individual in obtaining adequate protection for survival. Collaboration / cooperation between the professions in the health service is actually very useful for the achievement of the health program, both individuals and families to achieve the level of health. Methods: This type of research using a survey method, the analytic design. The population in this study were health workers in health services in the Region Sumba, which is taken from the clinic Kambaniru, Waingapu and Kanatang located in the County of East Sumba. with a sample of 109 people. Research and data collection was conducted from April to August 2017. Results: The results of the analysis of the relationship between knowledge and interprofessional collaboration were obtained by Pearson Chy Square = 4,628a Asymp. Sig (2-sided) 0.039 <0.05 means that the value of p <α (0.05) then this analysis shows that knowledge has a significant influence with interprofessional collaboration. The analysis results of odds ratio = 3.13 means that respondents who lack knowledge will have 3 times the risk of not running interprofessional collaboration compared to those with good knowledge.

Abstract

Sexually transmitted infections are one of the main health problems of adolescents. Every teenager is at high risk for developing sexually transmitted infections (STIs) for various reasons such as frequency of unprotected sexual intercourse, being more biologically susceptible to infection, involving relationships of limited duration, and possible difficulties accessing the health care system. The impact when a teenager is exposed to STDs is that it can cause acute symptoms, chronic infections such as infertility, ectopic pregnancy, cervical cancer and sudden death in infants and adults. adolescents to increase the knowledge, attitudes and practices of adolescents in behaviour. Analyze the effect of health education on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in preventing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test with a control group design. There is an effect of health education on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in preventing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. Health education plays a very important role in increasing knowledge and changing attitudes of adolescents in preventing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.

Abstract

Diarrhea often attacks children more than adults because their immune system is still weak. This is because knowledge about diarrhea in children is still low so it will affect the attitude of mothers in handling diarrhea in children. The aim is to review the literature to provide more in-depth information and descriptions, ideas to others about mothers' knowledge and attitudes towards preventing diarrhea in children under five. The research method used is a Literature Review of research results related to maternal knowledge and attitudes of diarrhea prevention published in the Google Scholars and Pubmed databases, the articles selected are Indonesian and English articles that were published in 2015 to 2015. by 2021 which can be accessed in full text in Pdf format. From the search data using the google scholar database, 6 articles were found and from Pubmed 4, from 10 articles, it was found that mothers' knowledge and attitudes were still lacking in preventing diarrhea in toddlers. Authors of the journal discussed a lot about the knowledge of mothers' attitudes about diarrhea; the number of samples and the most cross-sectional sample analysis; The author also suggests that mothers always maintain personal and surrounding hygiene, improve toddler nutrition; increase the literature review and increase mother's knowledge about diarrhea.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit degeneratif yang sering dialami oleh kelompok lansia, akibat peningkatan tekanan darah yang abnormal secara berkelanjutan, dalam mempertahankan tekanan darah secara normal. Lansia memiliki perilaku yang kurang baik dalam upaya pencegahan hipertensi sehingga berisiko dalam peningkatan terjadinya penyakit kardiovaskular. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap lansia dalam upaya pencegahan kekambuhan hipertensi di Desa Oelomin Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Nekamese. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Besar sampel 59 responden, penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai Juni tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian responden memiliki pengetahuan kurang baik sebanyak 25 responden (92,6%) dan sebagian responden mempnyai sikap yang kurang baik sebanyak 27 responden (96,4%). Hasil uji fisher’s exat test, bahwa nilai p-value = 0,001 < 0,05 (pengetahuan) dan hasil uji fisher’s exat test, bahwa nilai p-value = 0,001 < α 0,005 (sikap) yang artinya terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan dan sikap lansia dengan upaya pencegahan kekambuhan hipertensi di Desa Oelomin Kecamatan Nekamese, Kabupaten Kupang.

Abstract

Student learning achievement is one of main factors which contributes success on high educational program. It can be measured by GPA (Grade Point Avarage). High GPA is influenced by internal and external factors. This research aim is to find out correlation of internal and external factors with student learning achievement in Nursing Department in Waingapu. This is a quantitative research with descriptive method and a correlation study technique approach. The population of this research is all students in Nursing Department in Waingapu which are 356 students. The research sample is 188 respondents. The sample was taken by non random technique which is purposive sampling. The data was analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate calculations. This research shows that there is a significant correlation of attitude, interest, economical class of parents, student activity in society and their social interaction with their learning achievement. The result also shows that attitude has the most significant correlation toward student learning achievement in Nursing Department in Waingapu.
