Abstract

The era of AI and automation technologies has fundamentally changed the structure of jobs and skill needs in the global market, driving significant transformation in the digital business world. This research aims to analyze the impact of these technological developments on the jobs and skills required by the modern workforce. Using the literature review method, this research evaluates various academic sources and related industry reports. The findings show that there is a shift away from routine work towards jobs based on analytical, creative and interpersonal skills, with a growing demand for expertise in data management, programming and emotional intelligence. In addition, the research reveals a significant skills gap, which could exacerbate socio-economic inequality if not addressed. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of investing in retraining and workforce skills development to support adaptation to technological transformation, as well as the need for collaboration between government, educational institutions and industry in designing inclusive and sustainable policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media, FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) behavior, and the use of e-money on the consumptive behavior of students in the Economics Education Study Program at Universitas PGRI Wiranegara. The digital era has introduced new challenges in student financial management, particularly regarding the ease of accessing information and conducting digital transactions. The research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consists of all active students in the study program, with a sample of 69 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that social media, FOMO behavior, and e-money usage have a significant influence on students' consumptive behavior, both partially and simultaneously. This research contributes to a better understanding of the factors influencing consumer behavior in the digital age and can serve as a basis for developing more effective financial literacy programs for students.

Abstract

TikTok's algorithm-based digital marketing strategy, especially through the #FYPMarketing approach, has become an effective method in building emotional connections and increasing Gen-Z consumer loyalty. Through the For You Page (FYP) feature, brands can spread content organically with a wide reach, as long as the content is emotionally relevant, authentic, and participatory. This study uses a qualitative method based on literature studies and analyzes the #ScarlettGlowUp campaign as a case study. The findings show that the success of marketing to Gen-Z is greatly influenced by the use of user-generated content, micro-influencer involvement, and storytelling that is consistent with the values held by the audience. However, challenges such as algorithm manipulation, digital communication ethics, and data privacy issues are obstacles that require an approach based on transparency and social responsibility. This article concludes that the success of the #FYPMarketing strategy depends not only on technological and algorithmic capabilities, but also on trust, clarity of values, and alignment between the brand and its digital community.

Abstract

The furniture industry in Bukir Village, Pasuruan City, is one of the leading small and medium-sized industries (SMIs) that contributes significantly to local economic growth and employment. This study aims to analyze the potential of the furniture industry based on the empowerment of local workers, identify its contribution to the regional economy, and evaluate the level of employment in this sector. The research method employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature review and structured interviews. The results show that the furniture industry in Bukir Village has grown rapidly since 1980 with the support of the East Java Provincial Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) for Wood. Currently, there are 40 active businesses that can absorb 800-1,200 local workers, equivalent to 85% of the total workforce in the village. This industry uses a made-to-order production system with teak and sonokeling wood as raw materials and has expanded into the export market to Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries. This study recommends strengthening marketing digitalization, improving human resource skills, and intensifying government support to enhance the competitiveness of the Bukir furniture industry.
