Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif Index Card Match (ICM) atas pencapaian belajar dalam pelajaran Dasar - Dasar DPIB di salah satu SMK di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Model ICM diterapkan dalam desain penelitian Quasi-Eksperimental untuk mengevaluasi perubahan yang terjadi antara variabel pre-test dan post-test yang dilakukan pada penerapan model, dengan menekankan kepada aspek kognitif siswa. Instrumen tes yang digunakan terdiri dari 40 soal yang sebelumnya diuji coba pada siswa kelas XI DPIB 1, menghasilkan 36 soal yang terbukti valid sementara 4 soal lainnya dianggap tidak valid. Melalui analisis tingkat kesulitan, soal-soal tersebut dikelompokkan berdasarkan tingkat kesulitan mudah, sedang, hingga sulit, sedangkan daya pembeda soal diklasifikasikan menjadi baik, cukup, dan sangat baik. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa siswa yang menerapkan pembelajaran dengan Kooperatif Tipe Index Card Match memperoleh pencapaian belajar kognitif dengan rata-rata 88,06, dengan demikian hal ini lebih dibandingkan siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran melalui model instruksi langsung, yang rata-ratanya 61,94. Mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan, analisis statistik lanjutan menggunakan uji-t menemukan nilai t sebesar 2,54, yang melebihi nilai ttabel sebesar 1,670. Dengan demikian, pencapaian belajar kognitif siswa kelas X di jurusan Desain Pemodelan dan Informasi Bangunan pada elemen Statika Bangunan di mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar DPIB melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Index Card Match menunjukkan peningkatan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Index Card Match Type Cooperative Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of DPIB Basic Principles at State Vocational School 1 Percut Sei Tuan. This research method is a Quasi-Experimental design. This method is used to measure variables before and after to see the causal relationship of the phenomenon under study. Based on the research results, the use of the Index Card Match Type Cooperative Learning Model has a better impact on learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of DPIB Basic Principles on Building Statics elements. This is proven by research results which show that the average cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the Index Card Match Type Cooperative Learning Model was 73.06, higher than the average learning outcomes of students who were treated with the Direct Instruction model, namely amounting to 61.94. This is also reflected in the research data, the t test results show a t value of 3.73 compared to the t table value of 1.670 (t value > t table). Based on these differences, both theoretically and proven by statistical analysis carried out in this research, it can be concluded that the Index Card Match Type Cooperative Learning Model has a significantly different influence on student learning outcomes on DPIB Basic Principles in Building Statics Elements for class students X DPIB Skills Program State Vocational High School 1 Percut Sei Tuan.
