Abstract

The ability of science literacy in students in Indonesia is still relatively lacking or low, which is characterized by the inability of students to use scientific knowledge, identify relevant questions, and draw conclusions based on scientific facts. This research method uses Research and Development (R&D). Some of the factors that trigger students' low science literacy are school infrastructure, learning facilities and facilities, resources in schools, and management implemented by schools. Based on the results of observations and interviews at Nurul Mujahiddin NW Penimbung Islamic Junior High School, the technology media facilities are inadequate, as a result of which the understanding of science literacy is low.  This can also be assessed through the lack of activity of students and when given questions they are unable to answer the questions asked.  The low science literacy ability with minimal facilities is what is the innovation in the creation of this learning media by utilizing items that are easy to find and get in the environment around the school. So the author is interested in raising the title "Development of Simple Submarine Learning Media Based on Simple Technology for Science Literacy of Students". With the aim that the author can help various schools that have limited technology media facilities by utilizing simple submarines as simple technology-based learning media so that they can improve science literacy in students.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi sains pada peserta didik yang ada di Indonesia masih terbilang kurang atau rendah, yang ditandai oleh ketidakmampuan peserta didik dalam menggunakan pengetahuan-pengetahuan sains, mengidentifikasi pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang relevan, dan menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan fakta ilmiah. Beberapa faktor pemicu rendahnya literasi sains peserta didik yaitu infrastruktur sekolah, sarana dan fasilitas belajar, sumber daya di sekolah, dan manajemen yang diterapkan sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara di SMP Islam Nurul Mujahiddin NW Penimbung tersebut tidak memiliki fasilitas media teknologi yang memadai, akibatnya pemahaman literasi sains nya rendah.  Hal tersebut juga dapat dinilai melalui tingkat keaktifan peserta didik yang kurang dan saat diberi pertanyaan mereka tidak mampu menjawab pertanyaan yang diajukan.  Rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains dengan fasilitas yang minim itulah yang menjadi inovasi terciptanya media pembelajaran ini dengan memanfaatkan barang yang mudah di cari dan didapatkan di lingkungan sekitar sekolah. Sehingga penulis tertarik untuk mengangkat judul “Inovasi Simple Submarine Sebagai Media Pembelajaran IPA Berbasis Teknologi Sederhana Guna Meningkatkan Literasi Sains Peserta Didik”. Dengan tujuan agar penulis dapat membantu berbagai sekolah yang memiliki keterbatasan fasilitas media teknologi dengan cara memanfaatkan kapal selam sederhana sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi sederhana sehingga mampu meningkatkan literasi sains pada peserta didik

Abstract

This study aims to map the trends in science education research in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era through a bibliometric analysis based on Dimensions AI data for the period 2016–2025. The method used is a descriptive bibliometric analysis with a literature review approach to identify publication patterns, the most productive authors, publishing journals, research field categories, and publication types. The results of the analysis show that there are 2,390 relevant publications, with a significant increasing trend from 2020 to 2025. This indicates that AI-based science education research is developing rapidly towards more adaptive, interactive, and data-driven learning. Therefore, it can be concluded that the trend in science education research in the AI era is getting stronger with increasing collaboration across disciplines and countries, as well as an emphasis on the integration of intelligent technology in pedagogical innovation for effective and sustainable science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends in Augmented Reality (AR) based learning research using bibliometric analysis through Dimensions AI for the period 2016–2025. The method used is descriptive quantitative, analyzing the number of publications, research fields, authors, and publication types. The results show a significant increase in AR publications since 2016, peaking in 2023. The most dominant publication type is scientific articles (43,446 publications), with Education and Curriculum and Pedagogy as the main categories. Several Indonesian researchers are also actively contributing to AR research at the global level. In conclusion, AR research in education is growing rapidly and is interdisciplinary, with development trending toward integrating AR with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) to create more immersive and adaptive learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi relevansi etnosains pada cidomo dalam konteks materi fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskiptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Kegiatan observasi lingkungan masyarakat dilakukan di desa Pejeruk dan Moncok telaga mas dengan 2 narasumber dari pelaku ettnosains dan 1 berasal dari guru muatan lokal. Intrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar validasi ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa relevansi etnosains pada alat transportasi cidomo dalam materi fisika ditinjau melalui bahan dan proses pembuatan cidomo seperti momentum, kinematika, dinamika gerak, elastisitas bahan, dan kesetimbangan benda tegar. Hal ini menunjukkan bagaimana pengetahuan lokal dan ilmiah dapat saling melengkapi dalam pemahaman konsep fisika.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a physics teaching module based on Kaffah Learning and to examine its feasibility and effectiveness in improving high school students’ creative thinking skills. The development process employed the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The Define stage included needs analysis through curriculum review and teacher interviews. In the Design stage, a module draft was constructed by integrating holistic values, contextual learning activities, and creative problem-solving tasks. The module was validated by material and media experts using a standardized feasibility assessment instrument. Quantitative data were analyzed using Aiken’s V index and the N-Gain test derived from pretest and posttest scores. The validation results indicated that all aspects of the module content appropriateness, language clarity, presentation, and graphical design achieved an Aiken’s V value of 0.83, categorized as highly feasible. A limited trial conducted with students at SMAN 3 Mataram showed an increase in the average score from 60 to 88 after using the module. The N-Gain analysis yielded a value of 0.38 (moderate category), indicating that the module effectively enhanced students’ creative thinking skills, although the improvement had not reached a high category. The application of Kaffah Learning was found to encourage idea exploration, reflection, and the integration of physics concepts with real-life contexts.This study concludes that the physics teaching module based on Kaffah Learning is highly feasible and reasonably effective in improving students’ creative thinking skills. These findings provide a foundation for further development of holistic learning materials in other physics topics.
