Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the stages of development and the advisability of developing poster products in the sub-material period of the VOC class XI of SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak from material and media expertsas well as responses from students. The research method used without is the product development method (research and development) with the Borg and Gall research model and has been modified. Data validation media sources were material experts and media experts, while data sources for small-scale and large-scale trials are class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. The collecting data used expert judgment questionnaires and student questionnaire responses. The results of the validation of the material expert showsan average value of 86% and for the validation of the media experts obtained an average value of 97%. The results of the validation of the experts shows that the poster development product is worthy without revision with very good information. Whereas the results of small-scale trials obtain an average value of 81.7% and the average value for the results of large-scale trials was 81.2%. From all the results of the study shows that the product development of this poster received a positive response from the respondents. It can be concluded from the results of this study that poster development products are suitable for use in teaching and learning in the classroom.Keywords: Development, Learning Media, Poster

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an effect of usedPowtoon-basedPower Point media learning. This research was conducted in MAN 2 Pontianak withstudents in class X IPS 1 and X IPS 2. The research method used in this research isdescriptive quantitative method. The data in this study were in the form of studentlearning outcomes and learning evaluation question sheets. Data analysis usedMicrosoft Excel 2010. This research produces some data such as the value of studentlearning outcomes before and after usedPowtoon learning media, validity test,reliability test, normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test, and Effect Size test.Student learning outcomes have increased after used the Powtoon learning media.Learning outcomes before used powtoon media in the control class were 55.3 whilefor the experiment class the averange learning outcomes were 63. Learning outcomesafter used powtoon media had increased, especially in the Ekperiment class. For theControl class in this Post-Test activity, the average student learning outcomes are58,2. While the average student learning outcoes in the Ekperiment class is 76,6. Testof the hypothesis it is known that t is 1.99, which means that the used of this media has an effected on the learning outcomes of students. The last one is the Effect Size test which scores 0.15 in the "Very Small" category.Keywords: Effect Size, Learning Media, Powtoon.
