Abstract

AbstractThis research aimns to analyse the influence of contextual approaches towards the narrative writing skills in the thematic learning of class V elementary school 35 south Pontianak. The research method used is the experimental method quasi research from experimental design.Experimental design that will be used in this study is a non equivalent control group design used two classes as the subject of research.The population in this study is all student of grade V elementary school 35 south Pontianak wich amounted to 96 students.The samples used in the study were VA graders the numbered 31 students as control and VC classes amounting to 35 students as experiment classes wuth random samling techiques.Data collection techniques used are measurement techniques and data collector tools is a written test of essay form.Data analysis results obtained an average pretest results of 66,71 and average posttest  result of  74,59. Based on the result of the test-t calculation obtained tcount 4,073>t table 1,671,then H, received. This indicates that there are differences in the learning outcomes of the class students with experiment classes. Based on the results of the effect size is obtained bt ),75 which belongs to the medium criteria so that the contextual approach gives a moderate influence on narrative writing skills in the thematic learning of class V elementary school students Negeri 35 south Pontianak.Key words : Influence,  Contextual Approach, Narrative Writing Skills Thematic.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to analyze the effect of the application of number head together on the results of learning the concept of magnetism in learning natural sciences of class V students of Pontianak City 24 Elementary School. The method used is the experimental method, while the form of research used is quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population and sample in this study were all fifth grade students of Pontianak City 24 Elementary School. The data collection tool used was a multiple choice test with 45 questions. Based on data analysis, the average post-test results of the experimental class were 65,05 while the average post-test results of the control class were 59,25. The results of the t test are obtained tcount of 1,697 and t table α = 5% (with dk = 32 + 12 - 2 = 61) of 1,671, which means tcount (1,697)> t table (1,671), then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. It can be concluded that there is influence the application of number head together on results of learning the concept of magnetism in learning natural sciences in class V of Pontianak City 24 State Elementary School. From the results of the calculation of the effect size (ES) ES obtained is 0,3242 (medium criteria). This means that the application of number head together have a good influence on the results of learning the concept of magnetism in learning natural sciences of class V students of Pontianak City 24 Elementary School Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Number Head Together, The Concept Of Magnetisme

Abstract

describe the students’ ability in critical thinking in problem solving of measurement subject in grade IV of elementary school of Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. Facione’s opinion was used as an indicator, which consist of, identify the problem, determine relevant information, enumerate options, assess the situation and make a preliminary decision, scrutinize the process and self-correct. The type of this research is qualitative, with case study methode. Data sources in this research are the grade IV student of elementary school of Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. The data that has been collected are from the students’ ability in critical thinking and interview. The result of this research shows that the lack of grade IV students’ ability in critical thinking. In identify the problem indicator, shows that the students tend to give a deficient answers, in determine relevant information indicator, shows that the students tend to give a deficient answers, in enumerate options indicator, shows that the students tend to give a deficient answers, in assess the situation and make a preliminary decision indicator, shows that the students tend to give a deficient answers, and in scrutinize the process and self-correct, shows that the students tend to give a correct answers.Keyword: Ability in Critical Thinking, Measurement Subject, Problem Solving,

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimd to analyze the effect of using the experimental-based student teams achievement divisions model on student learning outcomes 5th grade natural science subject of elementary 38 school in northern Pontianak. The method used was the experimental method, the form of research used was quasi experimental design with the design of nonequivalent control group design. The population and sample in this study were all 5th grade students of  Elementary 38 School in Northern Pontianak. The data collection tool was a multiple choice test with 45 questions. Based on data analysis, the average post-test results of the experimental class were 77,50 while the average post-test results of the control class 69,22. The results of the t test obtained tcount of 3,899 and ttable α = 5% (with dk = 20 + 23 - 2 = 41)is 2,020 ,which means  tcount (3,899)> ttable (2,020), then Ha is accepted. It was concluded that there is a  effect of using the experimental-based student teams achievement divisions model on student learning outcomes natural science subject of elementary school. From the results of ES calculations, obtained ES for 0,98 (high criteria). This means using the experimental-based student teams achievement divisions model give a good effect on student learning outcomes in grade V natural science subject of elementary 38 school in northern Pontianak. Keywords: Experimental-Based Student Teams Achievement Divisions, Learning Outcomes, Natural Science

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to analyze the effect of the implementation of the demonstration method on data persentation material of student learning utcomes in class IV of 42 state elementari school, Pontianak City. The method used is the experimental method,the from of this research is a pre-expeimental design with a pretest-posttest group research design. The population is the entire fourth ggrade of 42 state elementary schools, Pontianak City district, which consist of 143 students. And sample is class IVA elementary school 42 students in Pontianak City, which consists of 26 students. Based on data analysis, the students average pre-test results were 57,5 and the students post-test average results were 70,5. The results of the t-test obtained tcount 3,13 while the t table white db =26-1=25 and the significant level (a)=5% is 1,706, it turn out that tcount > table or 3,13 > 1,706 then ha is accepted which means there is an effect of the application of the demontration method in the presentation of data on student learning outcomes in class IV of 42 state elementary schools, Pontianak City. This means that the application of the demonstration method has an effect of the student learningoutcomes in data presentation material in class IV of 42 state zElementary School, Pontianak District, City.
