Abstract

AbstractThe Function of the Totok’ng Padi Dance Ritual in Saba’u Village, Samalantan District, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. Essay. Pontianak: Performing Arts Education Study Program, Departemen of Language and Arts Education, Faculty of teacher Training and Education, Tanjungpura University. The author of this thesis analyzes the ritual function of Totok’ng Padi Dance in Saba’u village, Samalantan District, bengkayang Regency. The title of this tesis was raised to find out the function of the of full blooded rice until it became a performing art. The purpose of this research is Totok’ng Padi Dance is influential or not in art, ritual Functions and becomes a performing art in Saba’u village, Samalantan Distrct. This research uses quantitative method, this research is carried of with preli minary research plans, colleting primary and secondary data, analizing data and making research reports ( thesis )the research location is in Saba’u village, Samalantan District, Bengkayang Regency. The researchsample is thepeople of Saba’u Village. The conclusion in this study is that the ritual Function of the Totok’ng Padi Dance was originally a ritual, over time the ritual dance becamea performance Dance and is often displayed every year at the naik Dango Even at the Samalantan Traditional House.Keywords : Ritual function, Perfroming Arts

Abstract

Abstract This research was motivated to learn about symbols and meanings of dance jepin Aircraft. The purpose of this study was. To describe the symbol and meaning of dance jepin Pesawat Terbang In Kota Pontianak Kalimantan Barat. Descriptions of the contribution of research results in junior high school level learning unit. The method used was descriptive method with qualitative terms and use etnokoreologi approach, with the data source Juhermi Tahir Anwar Djafar who knows about symbols and meanings of dance jepin Pesawat Terbang. The data that was colleceted using observation, interview and documentation. validity of data in the form of triangulation sumber. Tari jepin Pesawat Terbang there is some movement, which has meaning and symbols. Step bekayuh bekayuh presents symbols and meanings that the dancers began to enter on the left and right of the stage. Motion stunted step Delivers fast symbols and motion stunted step Delivers fast symbol. Motion unusual step of walking and presenting symbols have meaning that life must have humility in the mix and behave. The sliding motion sewing needle presents symbols and meaning of human life should be lived with a view not to be affected straight bad things. Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research was to find out the basic and supporting elements found in the Arabic Zapin Dance. The researcher hopes that this research can become a corpus of data documenting the Zapin Arabic Dance so that it can be used as reference by further researchers and readers.The research method used was descriptive method of analysis with the form of qualitative research and choreographic approach. The data of this research was to describe the structure of the Arab Zapin dance. Sources of data include, Syarif Usman, Syarif Mansyur, Sy Ghozali Zein as an artist who knows the structure of the Apara Arab Zainian dance. The data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation with researcher as the main instrument. The persistence and triangulation of sources were used to check the validity of data. The data analysis techniques of this research were analysis during the field, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and classification.The results of this study described the presentation structure of the Arabic Zapin Dance. There are 3 types of motion, divided into initial motion, middle motion (contents) and closing motion. The floor design used is in the form of vertical, horizontal lines. Low design, pure design, angular design, flat design, high design are the top designs used.Keywords: Presentation Structure, traditional zapin Arabic dance.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated so that complete data and information are documented about the Zapin Elang Tetak Dance both in the form of writing and images and videos of the Zapin Elang Tetak Dance in Sedanau Village, Bunguran Barat Subdistrict, Natuna Regency, because the Zapin Elang Tetak Dance is the first dance in the area. This study uses a descriptive method in a qualitative form and uses a choreographic approach. Sources of data in this research are Mr. Edi Yusuf, Mrs. Fatmawati, and Mr. Nurdin. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity testing technique used was the extension of the observation and triangulation of sources. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that the form of presentation of Zapin Eagle Tetak Dance in Sedanau Village, Bunguran Barat District, Natuna Regency is as follows. 1. Zapin Elang Tetak Dance tells the story of two eagles who are mating (mating). 2.The Zapin Elang Tetak dance was created to develop the Zapin steps taught by Mr. Ahmad (late) and this dance was created to entertain the local community. 3. The Zapin Elang Tetak dance is danced by the young people as time goes on, this dance is mostly danced by young people. 4. The musical instruments used in the Zapin Elang Tetak Dance are marwas / segmented, tambourine / bebano, gambus / selodang. 5. The clothes used by dancers are in the form of brackets, scarves, buns and flowers, while the musicians wear a telok pot equipped with a skullcap. 6. The stage used by proscenium dancers. 7. The positions used in the Zapin Elang Tetak Dance are not complicated because this dance is a pair dance.Keywords: Presentation Form, Zapin Elang Tetak Dance.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe the study of cultural values contained in Baliatn traditional ritual dances in the Senakin Village, Landak district of West Kalimantan.The research focused on issues relatedto cultural values in textual and contextual studies. The research method that used in this research is descriptive research methods, qualitytative forms, and ethnochoreological approaches. Data sources are in the form of interviews. The research data are in the form of interviews and photographs.. Data collection techniques are in the form  of observation, interviews, and documentation. Techniques for testing the validity of source use triangulation data. Data analysis  techniques are compile and analyze. The results of this study is to show that ritual dance in Baliatn traditional ceremonies contains cultural values found in textual and contextual studies  that will be linked to two basic problems of life, namelu humans with nature and human with each other. Textual aspect that can be taken are in motion, clothing, property, and the number of dancers. The contextual is seen from the dance function, which is ritual dance treatment. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to describe the meaning of the Sigal dance clothing symbol in the Sowa'k Gawia Ceremony in Jagoi Babang, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. The researched problem was about the meaning of color symbols, shape motifs and the use of Sigal dance attire in the Gawia Sowa'k Ceremony Jagoi Babang district, Bengkayang regency West Kalimantan.The research method was the descriptive method with a qualitative form using the semiotic approach. The sources of the data were the results of interviews, field notes and documentation of the informants namely Ginop, Mihek, and Gabriel Armando. The techniques of data validity used triangulation and the techniques of data analysis were systematically collected and analyzed. The findings showed that there were fern motifs that symbolically meant humans need to bond with another. They must work unitedly and need social connectedness to protect each other. A symbol of shoot bamboo meant a guide to the path of truth. The lower line motif with an upward taper shape and the upper line with a downward taper indicated the symbol of men who dares to respectfully carry the responsibility and obligations as Dayak Jagoi tribesmen. Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research was that there was a uniqueness in the way of using mortar/lesung in Ngajat Lesung dance at Seluas Village, which was by bitten but it also functioned as the guest reception dance (aesthetic presentation) and entertainment dance in Dayak Iban society. The purpose of this research were describing the function, entertainment,aesthetic presentation of Ngajat Lesung dance and describing the implementation design in Ngajat Lesung dance on the Art and Culture subject. The method ofthis research was descriptive method. Data collecting techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. The validity of the data testing techniques were extension of observation, and the source triangulation. The function of Ngajat Lesung dance was as the personal entertainment without distinguishing social strata, non-formal personal entertainment, and personal entertainment whose dance moves did not grip. The function of the Ngajat Lesung dance was as an aesthetic presentation on the night before the Gawai Batu DayakIban began and during the Gawai Batu. The Implementation Design of the results in this research was a Lessons Plan (RPP) which could be used as a guide for Art and Culture subject teachers onJunior High School (SMP). Keywords: Dayak Iban, Function of Dance, Ngajat Lesung Dance.

Abstract

Abstrack The background of this research is that there is a uniqueness of the variety of movements of Jepin Suson sireh dance in which the various movements have their own meaning associated with everyday life. Specifically the problem in this research is how the movements of Jepin Suson Sireh Dance in Sawah Tunjuk Village, Sayan District, Melawi District, West Kalimantan, and how the design of the implementation of Jepin Suson Sireh Dance in Sawah Tunjuk Village, Sayan District, Melawi District, West Kalimantan. The method used in this study is descriptive method with qualitative research. The approach used is a semiotic approach which is a science in the form of signs. The data sources in this study were Mr. Amri, Mr. Suhendra, Mr. Rajab and Mr. Eka Candra. The data in this study are the results of observations, interview guidelines and documentation tools. The technique of testing the validity of the data in the form of extension and analysis after data collection. The results of this study are in the meaning of movement of the Suson Sireh dance in Sawah Tunjuk Village, Sayan District, Melawi District, West Kalimantan, a meeting with resource persons who knew the variety of dance movements of the Suson Sireh. Susilo Sireh's Jepin dance has 9 steps, in the dance movement, each of which has meaning. Keywords: meaning of motion, jepin suosn sireh dance.

Abstract

AbstractThe creation of dance “Apang Aruu” was inspired from Telinga Panjang tradition in Kayaan Mendalaam, Kapus Hulu regency. This tradition as identity of Apo Kayan ethnic such as Bahau, Kenyah and Kayaan. “Apang Aruu” was symbolized as the differences of human being and monkey, statue,  gender and also the beauty symbol of dayaknesse women in Kayaan Mandalaam. As the time goes by, Telinga Panjang tradition gradually extinct because of belief, education and lifestyle in modern era. “Apang Aruu" applies method and creation stage in dance work that involves exploration, data processing, implementation, evaluation and revision. This presentation creates the aesthetics of dance performances in terms of its movement and musical accompaniment, thus it is not just a spectacle for the audiences, but it will become an artwork whose musical accompaniment is appealing and captivating to be heard by audiences. Moreover, this work combines diverse and distinctive choreography. This work is not merely entertainment work, but there is innovation in developing a regional dance and it also contains educational aspects and moral messages offered. Abstract

AbstractThe study aimed to describe the structure of the Raddat Koko dance performance in Sekuduk Village, Sejangkung District, Sambas Regency. The research problems included motion, clothing, makeup, musical accompaniment, upper design, floor design, dramatic design, and the Raddat Koko dance performance. This research was conducted through descriptive methods, in the form of qualitative research and choreographic approaches. The sources of research data were observations, interviews, and documentation of interviewees namely Bahri, Kusnadi and Jurita. The techniques of data validity used triangulation and the techniques of data analysis were systematically collected and analyzed. The research findings showed that there were15 varieties of Raddat Koko dance divided into the initial, the middle (content) and the final movements. The costume employed in Teluk Belanga gown, belts, headbands, veils, and realist makeup. The upper design was high, low, medium, angular, symmetrical and asymmetrical. The dramatic design was in the form of multiple cones, with horizontal and zig-zag floor design. Groups design was in unison and turn. Music accompaniment used tar, long drums, and an Islamic rhyme. Stage located at Proscenium, arena, and field (home yard).Keywords: Performances Structure, Raddat Koko Dance, Sekuduk Village.
