Abstract

AbstractThe Function of the Totok’ng Padi Dance Ritual in Saba’u Village, Samalantan District, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. Essay. Pontianak: Performing Arts Education Study Program, Departemen of Language and Arts Education, Faculty of teacher Training and Education, Tanjungpura University. The author of this thesis analyzes the ritual function of Totok’ng Padi Dance in Saba’u village, Samalantan District, bengkayang Regency. The title of this tesis was raised to find out the function of the of full blooded rice until it became a performing art. The purpose of this research is Totok’ng Padi Dance is influential or not in art, ritual Functions and becomes a performing art in Saba’u village, Samalantan Distrct. This research uses quantitative method, this research is carried of with preli minary research plans, colleting primary and secondary data, analizing data and making research reports ( thesis )the research location is in Saba’u village, Samalantan District, Bengkayang Regency. The researchsample is thepeople of Saba’u Village. The conclusion in this study is that the ritual Function of the Totok’ng Padi Dance was originally a ritual, over time the ritual dance becamea performance Dance and is often displayed every year at the naik Dango Even at the Samalantan Traditional House.Keywords : Ritual function, Perfroming Arts

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the objective clarity about the existence or presence of Raddat Dance Sungai Kunyit Dalam in the Amantubillah art community at Mempawah district, West Kalimantan. The research method was a descriptive method in a qualitative form, through an ethnographic approach. The research data were obtained through several techniques, including observation technique, interview technique, and documentation technique. The research subjects were statements from the actors in Amantubillah art community. The research instrument was the researcher. In testing the validity of the data, the researcher did an extension of observations technique and also source triangulation technique that combines statements from sources. The result of this research was within the existence of Raddat Dance Sungai Kunyit Dalam in the Amantubillah art community at Mempawah District, West Kalimantan there were supporting factors such as the existence of Amantubillah art community, society needs and also the government support. Meanwhile factors that can obstruct the existence include the dancer of Raddat Dance Sungai Kunyit Dalam, the lack of government support and also in science and technology. It is hoped that the results of this research can be implemented in the lesson of Arts and Culture at  grade X in odd semester. Keywords:          Amantubillah Art Community. Abstract

AbstractThe problems of this research were ‘how was the relationship of dance movement in the process of binding pattern and the meaning of how to knit binding pattern in Jepin Tali Bui dance in Karimunting and the meaning contained in the presentationvillage of Sungai Raya Kepulauan District of Bengkayangand the implementation of learning art Subject.The method used in this research was descriptive method in form of qualitative design. The approach of this research was ethnocoreology which was a multidisciplinary science that was used more than one discipline.The data used in this research were the results of observation, interviews, and documantationsThe analysis of the of how to knit binding pattern  and the meaning contained in the presentationmeaning of binding pattern of Jepin Tali Bui dance based on the interviews of the interviwees and documenting it.The meaning of binding pattern based on the story in Jepin Tali Bui dance relates to human life, namely the life of honesty, mutual respect, no envy, and envy towards human beings.  Based on the interview with Mrs. Suraddmi, she said that the meaning of the direction of the binding pattern from top to down there was no special meaning, however it had a a narrative value that the soldier tied from top to down so that the soldier hard to escape and rebel. The results of this research were expected to be implementation of learning art Subject in form of lesson plans in the teaching learning process of art and cultre subject to the seventh grade of Junior High School.Keywords: Binding Pattern, Bengkayang, Jepin Tali Bui Dance

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research was Forms of Bakoncong Dance Presentation on Traditional Marriage Rituals in Dayak Badamea Tribe, Sanatab Village, Sajingan Besar District, Sambas Regency. This research used descriptive method with qualitative research as research design and used a choreographic approach because the choreographic approach could relate the researchers' discussion to research problems that lead to the arrangement of dance, and became a form of dance presentation.. Data collecting techniques used observation, interview, and documentation. The technique examined the validity of the data using extended observations and triangulation of sources. Data analysis techniques in the form of analysis during data collection and analysis after data collection. Based on the data analysis, concluded that Bakoncong Dance had elements found in other forms of presentation were, Circular floor design, Group composition using unison design, Bakoncong dance theme was about marriage rituals, Outdoor performances, Governance natural makeup, Women's clothing that was used the Kebaya clothes, Batik-patterned skirts, and small handkerchiefs, Musical accompaniment was used Gong, Tambourine, and Violin and chanting lyrics. Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is to documenting the companion music of jepin dance, especially jepin keris dance. The general problem in this research are : How is the description of music accompanion of Jepin Keris dance by Yuza Yanis Chaniago?. The purpose of this research are : 1) Describe the music accompanion of Jepin Keris dance by Yuza Yanis Chaniago, 2) Describe the selodang melody on music accompanion of Jepin Keris by Yuza Yanis Chaniago, 3) Describe the beruas rythm pattern on music accompanion of Jepin Keris dance by Yuza Yanis Chaniago, 4) Describe the rebana rythm pattern on music accompanion of Jepin Keris dance by Yuza Yanis Chaniago, 5) Describe the implementation that will used in study process in School. The method that used in this research is explorative descriptive method and musicology approach. The data that contained in this research is the result from observation and interviews with the interviewer which were selodang melody pattern, beruas rythm pattern, and lyrics. The result of this research is music notation of Jepin Keris dance by Yuza Yanis Chaniago. This music accompanion of Jepin Keris dance by Yuza Yanis Chaniago has beruas notation, selodang notation, and also rebana notation and how to play it, that can be used as a guide to learn music of Jepin Keris by Yuza Yanis Chaniago.     Keywords : Musicology Music Computation Dance of Jepin Keris By Yuza Yanis chaniago

Abstract

AbstractThis research based on lack of interest in the young generation of art was inherited from ancestors hereditary and it was necessary that there were attempts to learn and preserve the tradition. One of artistic tradition almost extinct and start unknown by communities are musical accompaniment Tari Jepin Tembung Panjang in Pontianak. (The purpose of this research is: 1 ) the descriptive analysis of ‘Tabuhan Beruas’ on music of Jepin Tembung Panjang accompaniment. The methods used in this research was descriptive method analysis.The data analysis used in this research was the result of direct observation and an interview to informants of the music of Jepin Tembung Panjang. Data analyzed qualitatively, with speakers Mohammad Joseph Dahyani and Anwar Djafar who actively involved as well as knowing about the music, tradition especially the music of Jepin Tembung Panjang in Pontianak. Based on the analysis of the data, it can be inferred that the pattern of Jepin Tembung Panjang was the result of repeated of literal hornets from one pattern.Keywords:       Analysis, Jepin, Pola Tabuhan, Pontianak, Tembung Panjang

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research was that there was a uniqueness in the way of using mortar/lesung in Ngajat Lesung dance at Seluas Village, which was by bitten but it also functioned as the guest reception dance (aesthetic presentation) and entertainment dance in Dayak Iban society. The purpose of this research were describing the function, entertainment,aesthetic presentation of Ngajat Lesung dance and describing the implementation design in Ngajat Lesung dance on the Art and Culture subject. The method ofthis research was descriptive method. Data collecting techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. The validity of the data testing techniques were extension of observation, and the source triangulation. The function of Ngajat Lesung dance was as the personal entertainment without distinguishing social strata, non-formal personal entertainment, and personal entertainment whose dance moves did not grip. The function of the Ngajat Lesung dance was as an aesthetic presentation on the night before the Gawai Batu DayakIban began and during the Gawai Batu. The Implementation Design of the results in this research was a Lessons Plan (RPP) which could be used as a guide for Art and Culture subject teachers onJunior High School (SMP). Keywords: Dayak Iban, Function of Dance, Ngajat Lesung Dance.

Abstract

Abstract This research was backgrounded by the researcher’s great curiosity towards thefunction of Sabek’n Apa'k as a ritual in the Nyobeng ceremony of the Bina'ehDayak Tribe in Tamong Village, Siding District. The objective of this study was todescribe the process of the Nyobeng ritual ceremony as well as the function ofSabek’k Apa’k dance as the part of the Nyobeng ritual ceremony of the Bina’eh. The method used in this research was descriptive method in the form of qualitativeresearch. The data collected from observation, interviews, and documentation wereanalyzed qualitatively with the speakers Mr. Musen, Mr. Jono, and Mr. Tagongwho knew clearly about the Sabek'n Apa’k dance of the Bina’eh Dayak tribe. Basedon data analysis, it was found that the Sabek'n Apa'k dance functions as animportant ritual of Nyobeng and plays an important role for the Bina'eh. AndSabek'n Apa'k must be preceded by a ritual using offerings such as chicken, palmwine, sticky rice, eggs, hanjuang leaves, bananas, taro, Ganeng, tobacco, yellowrice. The results of this study are expected to contribute to education, presentedthrough learning media such as PowerPoint presentation and video of Sabek'nApa'k dance as teaching material in schools.Keywords: Nyobeng, Ritual, Sabek’n Apa’k dance

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this study was the lack of information about accurate documentation in the form of Jepin Silat dance structure. This study aims to describe the motion, supporting elements, and design of the implementation of Jepin Silat dance. this study uses descriptive methods with qualitative forms and choreographic approaches. The source of the data that researches colleted is the results of interviews and the results of documenttation techniques. The technique of testing the validity of the data the researcher uses persistence of observation, triangulation of sources and techniques. Steps of data analysis techniques used  in the form of data reduction, data display, and verification. There are 3 resource persons namely, Mrs Anisah (traditional art performer), Mrs Dewi Astuti (traditional art performer), and Mrs Marlinda (tradtional art performer). There are several kinds of motion, namely variance 1, variety 2, and variety 3. Supporting ements in fashion are clothes kurong, gill pattern, obi and pants. The make up used is realist make up. Musical instruments used are violin, aqordion, and segment. This dance venue can be displayed on the ground, stage or on the page. This research can be implemented in high school (SMA), in learning art and culture in class Xl.Keywords: structure of dance presentation, Jepin Silat dance

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the Exixtence of the Jepin Langkah Serong dance in the city of Pontianak. The problem of this research is related to the ekxistence of the Jepin Langkah Serong dance in the city of Pontianak and the factors that influence the existence of the dance. The research uses descriptive methods in the form qualitative and historical approaches. The sources of data in this study are Mr. Juhermi Tahir, Mrs. Kusmindari Triwati and Mr. Yuni Syahroni who know the Jepin Langkah Serong Dance. Data collection techniques in the fprm of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The technique of testing the validity of the data used is source triangulation. The result of this research is the Jepin Langkah Serong Dance is lifted and preserved by the Andari Studio and the Gita Natia Studio. Factors supporting the existence of the dance are art organizations, government agencies, community support and the FKIP UNTAN arts campus. The inhibiting factors for the existence of this dance are the impact of blobalization, the economic crisis and the COVID-19 Pandemi. Efforts to preserve it are to foster public interest, government appreciation and social media. Keywords: Existence, Jepin Langkah Serong Dance
