Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to find out the "Implementation of Internalization of Character Values in Social Study in Class VII E ofSMP N 12 Pontianak". The problem in this research was How the Implementation of Internalization of Character Values in Social Study in Class VII E of SMP N 12 Pontianak. The sub-problems in this research was how the implementation of the internalization of character values in social study namely Love of God and all of his creations, Independence and Responsibility, Honesty, Trust and Wisdom, Respect and courtesy, Generous, helpful and mutual cooperation, Confident, creative, and hard-working, leadership and justice, kind and humble, tolerance, peace and unity. The variable in this research was a single-variable, namely "Implementation of Internalization of Character Values in Social Study". The data sources in this research were students and the teacher of Class VII E, the research method used is a qualitative method in the form descriptive research. Datacollection techniques in this research are direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research indicated that the implementation of Internalization of character values in social study in class VII E has been classified as good. Keywords: Character Values,Internalization, Social Study

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to obtain an overview of the level of learning motivation of class VII students of SMPN 11 Kota Pontianak. The instrument of this study was a student motivation motivation questionnaire. The method used in this study was the descriptive method of the purpose of this method to make a systematic description or description of the facts. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The sample in this study was class VII students, amounting to 20 students. Questionnaire consists of 20 items that contained 5 indicators, namely: The desire to succeed, there was encouragement and need for learning, there was appreciation in learning, there was a conducive learning environment, there were interesting activities in learning. The data analysis technique used was student learning motivation questionnaire. The results of this study indicated that there are 11 (61.2%) students who have very high learning motivation, 5 (19.5%) students who have high learning motivation and 4 (19.3%) students who have moderate learning motivation. Based on the results of the score per item there was a desire to succeed at 75.00%, the encouragement and learning needs of 80.00%, there was an appreciation in learning at 81.25%, there was a conducive learning environment of 87.50%, the existence of activities interesting in learning was 82.50%. It is known that there was an increase in the results of learning motivation of class VII students of SMP 11 Kota Pontianak. Keywords:Class VII Students,IPS Learning, Motivation

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to investigate the differences in student learning outcomes by applying inquiry learning model. A Quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design was used by the writer as the research method. The sample of this research was class VII C of SMP Negeri 19 Pontianak which consist of 30 students. The techniques of data collection used in this research were direct observation, direct communication, and measurement technique. The tools of data collection were observation sheets, interviews and the pre-test and post-test of students’ learning outcomes. Based on data analysis, the results of the normality test show that the results of residual scores are normally distributed with a significant score of 0.477> 0.05. Meanwhile the results of the hypothesis test shows that null hypothesis is rejected and alternative hypothesis is accepted based on the sig score. (2-tailed) at the score of the pre-test and post-test with a score of 0,000 which means smaller than 0.05. From the hypothesis testing it was stated that there were differences in student learning outcomes after the implementation of inquiry learning model with the average of pretest score 55.5 and posttest 80.66. It indicates that the application of the inquiry learning model increase the learning outcomes of students of class VII C SMP Negeri 19 Pontianak. Keywords: Inquiry Learning Model, Learning Outcomes, Social Studies.

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aimed to determine the suitability of the Lesson Plan (RPP) with the learning implementation of Social Studies teacher of SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak in class VIII A, VIII B, and VIII C. This research was conducted from April to May 2019. The method of this research was the qualitative descriptive method. The techniques of this research were observation, interview, and documentation. The result of the research on the first problem showed that in the implementation of the lesson plan with learning, it was carried out with the percentage of 86.6%, it categorized as very good. While the second problem regarding to the components of the Lesson Plan made by the teacher which consists of 13 components was very good, based on the Curriculum 2013 that applied, with the percentage of 85%, and the result of the third research problem about constraints experienced in the implementation of the lesson plan in learning Social Studies to the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak related to facilities and infrastructures, improper of the time allocation, the different characteristics of students and schools, and the certain other unexpected conditions. Keywords: Analysis, Implementation of Lesson Plan (RPP), Social Studies (IPS).

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the effectiveness of jigsaw cooperative learning model with the use of conventional learning model. The form of this research was a quasi-experimental form with a nonequivalent control group design. The tool of data collections in this research were the test results in the form of multiple choice and observation sheets. The results of normality test in this research were the post-test score in the experimental class was 0,200 and the control class was 0,110. This showed that the significant post-test data of the experimental class and the control class were normally distributed, meaning that both data were >0,05. Then, in the experimental class after the treatment by using the Jigsaw cooperative learning model has increased the average value, from the average value of examination before being given treatment that was 56,87 into the average value of post-test was 87,85. The experimental class also increased the percentage of completeness from 36,33% to the percentage of post-test completeness to 100%. Thus, it can be concluded that learning by using the jigsaw cooperative learning model with the learning material about the interaction between ASEAN countries in class VIII of SMP N 21 Pontianak showed very effective criteria for improving student learning outcomes, with a difference in the percentage of completeness 90,67% and with the effect size value of 0,85. Keywords: Cooperative Jigsaw, Effectiveness, Learning Model
