Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan level motivasi siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika berpendekatan saintifik. Hal ini penting karena motivasi berkorelasi positif dengan pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei dengan jumlah responden 24 siswa kelas X di SMK Al Munawwariyyah, Malang pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2017-2018. Kuisioner terdiri atas 6 domain yaitu physics learning value, active learning strategies, self-efficacy, performance goal, Achievement goal, dan Learning Environment Stimulation. Domain physics learning value menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 75% menyatakan bahwa fisika adalah penting dan bermanfaat bagi kehidupan sehari-hari. Domain active learning strategies menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 50% siswa aktif dalam menghubungkan konsep dengan pengalaman sebelumnya. Domain self-efficacy menunjukkan sekitar 50% berkeyakinan dapat memahami fisika dengan baik, tetapi hanya sekitar 30% yang berkeyakinan mampu menyelesaikan soal fisika dan cenderung menyerah saat bertemu dengan soal yang sulit. Domain performance goal menunjukkan bahwa 50% siswa berusaha aktif agar mendapatkan nilai yang baik, tetapi tidak bertujuan untuk kelihatan lebih baik dari yang lain maupun mendapatkan perhatian dari guru. Domain Achievement goal menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 60% saja yang merasa puas dengan nilai baik, tetapi 96% siswa lebih puas ketika mampu memahami dan memecahkan masalah fisika. Domain Learning Environment Stimulation menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 60% siswa berpartisipasi aktif di kelas karena guru menggunakan berbagai macam metode, tidak menekan siswa, memfasilitasi siswa untuk aktif dalam setiap kegiatan baik teori maupun praktek. Temuan ini bermanfaat dalam penyusunan pembelajaran fisika lebih lanjut yang mempertimbangankan faktor motivasi agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas fisika.

Abstract

The topic of measurement is an important topic that must be mastered by SMK students in the field of computer and network engineering. Teachers as learning facilitators need to map students' mastery in terms of theory and practice as an evaluation material for providing feedback in the form of enrichment and remedial. One of the media that can quickly and accurately map student mastery is ZipGrade. The purpose of this study was to determine students' acquisition of the topic of measurement using ZipGrade. The research method used the case study method. The research subjects were students of computer and network engineering at SMK Al Munawwariyyah in the academic year 2020/2021 by 86 students. The results showed that the average mastery was 47,5%. Some of the concepts that most students find difficult are reading the measured value of the AVO meter, the rule to use AVOmeter, and using the significant figures rules in multiplication and division operations, and predicting the appropriate resistor according to a given value.

Abstract

Different from the classical mechanic topic, student’s understanding related to matter elasticity has got less attention in research. This study aimed to expose student’s understanding related to conceptual problems in matter elasticity with descriptive quantitative research method. Subject consisted of 48 students of engineering with the computer and network competence in 2016/2017 academic year. The data was gathered using multiple choices test. The study concluded that student’s understanding related to elastic and plastic matter was good, but most students did not well understand about Hooke laws, the relationship in elasticity formula, and composition elastic matter. The study suggested further research to explore the causes of student’s difficulties.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of modeling instruction based on a system for improving student’s understanding of energy concepts on high school students. This Research was a mixed-method design with an embedded experimental model. The subject of this study was the 62 students of 11th grade, at Senior High School in Nganjuk, Indonesia. Modeling instruction based on system learning could significantly improve students' understanding of concepts better than conventional learning. Based on the calculation of the effectiveness of learning using N-gain obtained for 0.33 (medium or low medium category) for the treatment class and 0.18 (low category) for the control class. It concluded that improved students' conceptual understanding of the treatment class was better than the control class. This research also was identified student’s difficulties especially in differentiating forces and work. Students propensity to use p-prime in solving problems rather than using energy theorems.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pembentukan karakter pada siswa yang bersekolah di sekolah berasrama. Karakter menentukan individu dalam bersikap ketika menghadapi konflik. Manifestasi karakter yang paling fundamental muncul bila seseorang dihadapkan pada permasalahan yang cenderung merugikan mereka. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam menemukan potensi baik dan mengembangkannya agar menjadi karakter dalam diri siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian survei dilakukan untuk memetakan sejumlah 156 siswa di SMK Al Munawwariyyah. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa Sebagian besar siswa memiliki karakter pantang menyerah 66.7%, lapang dada 87.8%, inovatif 73.7%, disiplin 80.6%, bertekad kuad 60.9%, demokratis 78.2%, peduli 97.4%, tanggungjawab 83.3%, dan bersahabat 85,9%. Sebagai upaya dalam pembentukan karakter sekolah perlu meningkatkan program ekstrakurikuler untuk mengasah karakter siswa agar semakin baik saat terjun dalam masyarakat.Kata Kunci : karakter, masalah sosial, sekolah berasrama ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to analyze the character building of students who attend boarding schools. Character determines the individual's attitude when facing conflict. The most fundamental manifestation of character appears when a person is faced with problems that tend to harm them. School as an educational institution has an important role in finding good potential and developing it so that it becomes a character in students. This research is a survey research with a quantitative approach. The survey research was conducted to map a number of 156 students at SMK Al Munawwariyyah. The survey results showed that most of the students had an unyielding character of 66.7%, roomy 87.8%, innovative 73.7%, discipline 80.6%, determined to quadruple 60.9%, democratic 78.2%, caring 97.4%, responsibility 83.3%, and friendly 85.9% . As an effort in shaping school character, it is necessary to improve extracurricular programs to hone student character so that it is better when they are involved in society.Keywords: character, social problems, boarding school

Abstract

Berbeda dengan level pendidikan menengah lainnya, pembelajaran fisika di SMK Teknik memiliki kewajiban lebih yaitu untuk mengintegrasikan konsep-konsep fisika dalam bidang keahliannya. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemahaman siswa terkait aplikasi konsep suhu dan kalor yang berkaitan dengan komputer. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 36 siswa teknik komputer dan jaringan (TKJ), SMK Al Munawwariyyah Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa telah memahami aplikasi konsep suhu dan kalor yang berkaitan dengan komputer lebih dari 80%. Aplikasi konsep yang telah mereka pahami antara lain persamaan kalor dan maknanya, jenis perpindahan kalor dan dampaknya, dan identifikasi permasalahan komputer yang berkaitan dengan kalor (troubleshooting).

Abstract

The activity of the heart and blood vessels is material that is close to the daily activities of every human being. The importance of understanding this concept has not been understood correctly and sometimes causes misconceptions. The main purpose of this study is to identify misconceptions experienced by students in the material of heart and blood vessel activity. Case study research is used to answer it. The research subjects consisted of 97 VIII grade students from 3 schools located in Malang and Tulungagung. The study was conducted in the 2019/2020 school year. The results showed that there were 9.3% of students experiencing misconceptions on cardiac activity material, 22.7% of students experiencing misconceptions related to pulmonary arteries, 38.2% of students experiencing misconceptions related to pulmonary veins, 23.7% of students experiencing misconceptions related to arteries, and 16.5% of students experience misconceptions in distinguishing arteries and veins. In answering a series of questions about heart and blood vessel activity, students are more likely to use p-prime than their scientific knowledge.

Abstract

Background: A misconception is a form of error in scientific knowledge that is believed to be accurate. As a result, someone who has a misconception of something will reject scientific truth and will hinder the assimilation of new knowledge. The purpose of this study was to identify misconceptions that occur in students regarding the topic of blood classification. Methods: The survey method research was conducted on 97 students scattered in Malang and Tulungagung, Indonesia. The data analysis technique uses coding for categorization into four categories: conceptual understanding, partial understanding, misconception, and not understanding the concept. Results: The results showed that misconceptions occurred in all sub-topics of blood classification. Misconceptions were found in the concept of blood plasma (2.1%), white blood cells (6.2%), thrombocytes (17.5%), and blood classification system (8.2%). Misconceptions occur due to several misunderstandings of students such as red blood cells that play a role in transporting nutrients, haemoglobin only binds oxygen, and difficulty distinguishing between antigens and antibodies in determining blood groups, blood donation, and the impact arising from donations. Conclusion: The existence of misconceptions causes students' mastery of blood classification material to be hampered.
