Abstract

Through language, humans convey utterances about thoughts, ideas, and feelings. Communication is not just sending language through words but also through behavior or actions. Human actions when uttering utterances are called speech acts. In this study, we will discuss directive speech acts. Directive speech acts are speech acts performed by speakers so that speakers perform the actions mentioned in the utterance. Directive speech acts include those of ordering, inviting, asking, begging, suggesting, advising, and advising. Research related to directive speech acts in the television program Master Chef Indonesia Galeri 8 uses descriptive methods in the form of qualitative research. There are two data analysis methods used in this study. The method of providing the data used in this research is the listening method with the free-engagement speaking technique and the note-taking technique. Directive illocutionary speech acts are divided into five types, namely, commanding, ordering, advising, recommending, and begging. The data found is classified based on the existing speech acts. In the discussion section, the results of the analysis of each piece of data displayed have been presented. In this study, a number of data have been found which have been analyzed and classified based on the form of the utterances made.

Abstract

Karya sastra menjadi wadah pengarang untuk menciptakan dunia imajinatif atau menggambarkan realitas yang ada dalam kehidupan manusia. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menganalisis novel Bakri, Sang Guru Demonstran dari aspek sosial yang menyajikan situasi sosial dan cerminan sosial masyarakat mengenai masalah pendidikan di Indonesia pada saat ini. Novel ini mengangkat isu-isu pendidikan yang sampai sekarang masih menjadi masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tanggapan sosial novel Bakri, Sang Guru Demonstran atas kebijakan pendidikan di Indonesia dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Pendekatan sosiologi sastra Ian Watt membagi objek kajiannya menjadi tiga macam klasifikasi yang berbeda, yaitu: (1) Konteks sosial pengarang, (2) Situasi sosial, dan (3) Cermin sosial masyarakat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan latar sosiologis pengarang yang juga berprofesi sebagai guru di berbagai yayasan. Kemudian, situasi sosial ketika karya sastra terbit yaitu pada saat kurikulum 2013 telah ditetapkan. Melalui cerminan sosial masyarakat dalam novel Bakri, Sang Guru Demonstran, diingatkan akan pentingnya memahami dan menghormati peran serta hak asasi guru dalam dunia pendidikan. Teks ini mewakilkan kelompok guru sebagai tenaga pendidik dan mencerminkan situasi sosial pada tahun 2010-an. Novel ini juga mengkritik pemerintah yang senantiasa mengganti kebijakan di saat kebijakan sebelumnya belum terlaksana dengan sempurna.

Abstract

As an art, literary works allow their readers to use their intelligence and feelings creatively. therefore, literary works such as hikayat always have messages or values, such as moral values. this study aims to describe the moral values contained in the Hikayat of the Raja-Raja Siam. Descriptive-qualitative method used in this research. Data were collected by reading and recording. Nurgiyantoro's theory on the division of moral value forms is used to analyze the data. The results of this study show three quotations about moral values in man's relationship with his God, one quotation about man's relationship with himself, and six quotations about man's relationship with others. The moral value described in the hikayat is something natural that is influenced by the prevailing norms of society. Following up on the findings in this study, the moral values contained in this saga can be used as learning materials. Â
