Abstract

This study aims to examine a form of deconstruction contained in the novel Carita Calin by Aprilia Fatmawati. Bringing marginalized meaning to content to make it look equal. This study consists of two problem formulations taken from just two concepts from Derrida's deconstruction theory, namely binary opposition and new construction of the main character. The purpose of this study is to describe the work of binary opposition and new constructions related to the main character, namely Calin, in the novel Carita Calin by Aprilia Fatmawati. The approach used in this study is the deconstruction approach based on Jacques Derrida's theory. The data source for this research is the novel Carita Calin by Aprilia Fatmawati and the fairy tale Bawang Merah Bawang Putih as the second data source. Data collection technique used is the technique of reading notes. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research work are, (1) opposing the binary character Calin in the novel Carita Calin by Aprilia Fatmawati which presents contradictory things that are different from the tales of Bawang Merah Bawang Putih. (2) The new construction in the novel Carita Calin by Aprilia Fatmawati presents a character with a reversal of facts in the story of Bawang Merah Bawang Putih, Calin is not completely evil, Calin and Mora end up getting along as siblings, her mother spoils Mora more than she does, and Calin is the dominant character in the novel story.

Abstract

Penelitian mengkaji tentang jenis-jenis satire pada kanal Youtube Santoon TV serta hasil implikasi dari penelitian terhadap materi teks anekdot di kelas X SMA. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis satire pada kanal Youtube Santoon TV berdasarkan teori milik Holbert (2011). Hasil implikasi dari penelitian ini terhadap materi teks anekdot di kelas X SMA berupa media komik digital mengenai tuturan satire yang disesuaikan dengan data penelitian dalam bentuk percakapan melalui dua karakter. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripsi kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah teknik simak bebas libat cakap serta catat. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik padan. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan sebanyak 67 untuk data satire, dengan 26 data jenis horation dan 41 data untuk jenis juvenalian. Pada hasil implikasi penelitian yang diterapkan dalam materi teks anekdot ialah berbentuk media komik digital dengan jenis komik strip dengan dua data yakni menggunakan data dengan jenis juvenalian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur struktural yang membangun novel Dance of the Butterfly karya Ratu Kristina, (2) kejiwaan para tokoh dalam novel Dance of the Butterfly karya Ratu Kristina. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deksriptif kualitatif disertai penguatan analisis isi dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, unsur struktural yang membangun meliputi: tema kesetiaan dan perjuangan hidup serta psikologi, penokohan dengan tokoh utama Rambo, latar tempat berada di Jakarta dan Bandung, nilai moral dan sosial mengandung pengajaran hidup bagi pembacanya. Kedua, analisis kejiwaan tokoh utama dalam novel Dance of the Butterfly dapat dipahami melalui teori Sigmund Freud (id, ego dan superego) yang mampu dipengaruhi oleh faktor dalam maupun faktor luar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine moral values based on semiotic studies by applying Roland Barthes' theory. This study uses an approach as well as a method, namely descriptive qualitative. In addition, the research data is the text of a short story entitled Jimat Malowopati by Tegsa Teguh Striyo which is one of the short stories from a collection of short stories titled Covid-19 with the title Short story #ProsaDiRumahAja owned by Putu Fajar Arcana. The results of this study found that there were three types of moral values in the short story Jimat Malowopati by Tegsa Teguh Satriyo, namely social moral values, religious moral values wrapped in culture, and individual cultural values. This moral value is dominantly represented through two characters in the short story, namely Mbah Girut and Kang Subur. Through this research, the researcher hopes that there will be further studies that can improve this research.
