Abstract

Fiscal deficit policy during a recession can be used as a stimulus to encourage economic growth, but in the long term, deficits financed by foreign debt can cause economic instability and increase the risk of inflation and increased interest burdens. The Purpose of the study determine the role of Islamic fiscal and monetary policy in maintaining stable economic growth and exchange rates. The research method was carried out qualitatively using a literature study approach sourced from various books, journals, and government agency reports. The results obtained show that when a recession occurs the government encourages economic growth through a fiscal deficit funded through foreign debt which has a long-term impact on increasing the debt and interest burden. In Islam there are alternatives using cash Waqf and the issuance of State Sharia Securities which have an impact on long-term economic stability and ZIS which can help reduce poverty and inequality. Meanwhile, monetary policy aims to influence the circulation of money, increase employment opportunities, exchange rate stability and purchasing power through sharia-based instruments that don’t use elements of usury through Statutory Reserve Requirements, Financial Ceilling, Moral Suasion, Profit and Sharing Ratio, Sukuk.

Abstract

Globalization has an impact on the development of international trade, which can increase market share. In addition, in foreign exchange trading, currency is not just a transaction tool but also a commodity traded in the foreign exchange market. The study aims to analyze arbitrage and interest rate parity on its implications for foreign exchange investors and speculators. Secondary data used in the study were obtained from books, national and international edited journals, news, and working papers conducted by a literature review. It is found that unstable economic conditions, increased inflation, and speculators can increase the volatility of exchange rate imbalances in the foreign exchange market. exchange rate differences can be utilized by arbitrageurs and will naturally move towards efficiency. However, the enactment of purchasing power parity implies indifferent behavior to invest domestically or internationally because the returns obtained are not greater than domestic. In addition to maintaining foreign exchange stability, intervention policies are needed through controlled floating exchange rates, interest rate policies, maintaining liquidity and capital flows carried out by monetary authorities and central banks, as well as reducing import dependence and increasing exports

Abstract

Financial bookkeeping plays an important role to determine the financial condition in one transaction period. Financial bookkeeping that is carried out systematically, referring to accounting, can improve transparency, financial control and decision making, especially Sharia accounting bookkeeping. However, the level of Islamic financial literacy of small and micro businesses is still low. This assistance is a form of increasing the understanding of micro, small and medium enterprises about financial bookkeeping through Istishna accounting. Assistance was carried out in 3 businesses, namely the Cikra Pecel chili business, the brick press business and the Sanma Bouquet business, which was carried out through interviews and service learning on May 3, 2025. The results obtained that in the pre-implementation stage, the three businesses had simple bookkeeping that was not systematic and did not recognize the Istishna accounting contract and bookkeeping. The implementation stage was carried out by providing material for the introduction of Istishna accounting contracts and bookkeeping. At the third post-implementation stage, the three business actors gained understanding and knowledge that was not just theory but also the practice of journaling and determining business profits and losses. The evaluation results show that further mentoring activities are needed to strengthen the understanding and consistency of Sharia accounting bookkeeping practices for MSMEs on a regular basis.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of assets and sales on the capital structure of the Husnul Khotimah Islamic boarding school cooperative using panel data from four business units between 2020 and 2023 (164 observations). Chow and Hausman tests confirm the Fixed Effect Model as the best specification. The findings show that assets of the HK Putra, HK Putri, and Economic Division units significantly affect capital, whereas the Pancalang unit’s assets do not. Regarding sales, only the HK Putra and Pancalang units exhibit significant effects on capital. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence capital, supported by an Adjusted R² of 0,842, indicating that asset structure and sales performance are key determinants of capital strengthening in pesantren cooperatives. The study contributes to the global literature by offering empirical insights into how Islamic, community-based microeconomic institutions manage capital formation under limited external financing. This adds a new dimension to discussions on Islamic cooperative finance and the resilience of faith-based economic entities. Future research directions include: developing alternative Sharia-compliant capital models for pesantren cooperatives; conducting comparative studies with conventional cooperatives; incorporating profitability, efficiency, and risk-management variables; and examining the role of digital sales transformation in enhancing cooperative capital.
