Abstract

In this modern era, it turns out that there are still many Indonesian workers who are still predominantly low skilled or low skilled. This is what causes many workers to be found in the formal sector with guaranteed income but who have side jobs outside of their main job. There are various reasons that motivate workers to have a side job, such as increasing family income, filling free time, or pursuing a hobby. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of unskilled workers on the decision to have additional work (secondary jobs) in Bali Province, both simultaneously and partially, as well as to determine the influence of control variables on the dependent variable. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach in associative form. The research locations were carried out in 9 (nine) Regencies/Cities of Bali Province using raw data released by the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) August 2023. The analysis technique used was the logistic regression analysis technique. The results of the analysis show that the independent variables and control variables simultaneously influence the dependent variable. The variables Education, Family Members and Age have a partially negative effect on the decision to have an additional job (secondary job) in Bali Province. The variables Type of Job, Certified Training, Working Hours, Marital Status, Gender, and Generation (X, Y and Z) have a partial positive effect on the decision to have an additional job (secondary job) in Bali Province. Meanwhile, unskilled workers and income do not influence the decision to have an additional job (secondary job) in Bali Province.

Abstract

Economic growth is one of the main benchmarks for assessing a country's economic performance over time. Increased and sustainable economic growth are essential requirements for continued economic development. This study aims to explore the impact of foreign debt, foreign investment, inflation, and non-oil and gas exports, both individually and simultaneously, on economic growth in Indonesia. The data used in this study are time series for three decades, from 1994 to 2023. The methodology used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis, which aims to determine the effect of independent variables on dependent variables, both individually and simultaneously. The findings of this study indicate that simultaneously, foreign debt, foreign investment, inflation, and non-oil and gas exports have a significant impact on Indonesia's economic growth during the period 1994 to 2023. Separately (partially), foreign debt and inflation have a significant negative effect on Indonesia's economic growth in the period 1994 to 2023. On the other hand, foreign investment shows an insignificant negative impact on the country's economic growth in the same period. However, non-oil and gas exports have a significant positive impact on Indonesia's economic growth between 1994 and 2023.

Abstract

Opportunities for women and men to compete in the job market are needed to accelerate increases in community productivity. Decent employment opportunities can be seen through the unemployment approach and the level of inactivity from non-labor force indicators. Inequality in development according to gender can result in suboptimal potential obtained from development. There is still visible discrimination or inequality towards female workers and male workers that can be seen from the contribution of women's income, the number of working hours, women's participation in labor force and the involvement of women in positions in professional. This is due to the existence of stereotypes about gender, apart from that, women are also faced with their natural instincts as women in taking care of the family, which results in the contribution of women's workforce not being optimal even though their human capital is equivalent to that of men's workers

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of business capital, product pricing, and the utilization of e-commerce on the income of micro culinary business actors in Denpasar City. The background of this research is based on the crucial role of micro enterprises in economic development, particularly in the culinary sector, which is one of the largest contributors to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Denpasar City. Despite the sector's significant growth, increasing competition and uneven adoption of technology remain key challenges in improving business income. This study employs a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population includes micro culinary business actors spread across the four districts of Denpasar City. The sample was determined proportionally using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique, and respondents were selected using accidental sampling to ensure broad representation. Primary data were collected through direct observation and structured questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from relevant government institutions such as the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs and the Central Statistics Agency. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity), the F-test to determine the simultaneous influence of the variables, and the t-test to analyze the partial influence of each independent variable on income. The findings indicate that simultaneously, business capital, pricing, and e-commerce significantly influence the income of micro business actors. Partially, each of these variables also shows a positive and significant effect. Business capital provides the foundation for operational activities, pricing affects consumer demand and competitiveness, while e-commerce broadens market reach and improves efficiency. These results highlight the importance of strategic financial management, appropriate pricing strategies, and the adoption of digital platforms to support income growth and sustainability of micro culinary enterprises in Denpasar City.
