Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pendidikan Islam dalam membentuk karakter generasi muda di tengah tantangan modern. Fokus utama adalah implementasi nilai-nilai Islam melalui kurikulum, lingkungan sekolah, dan sosial. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pendidikan Islam dapat memberikan landasan moral yang kuat, menanamkan nilai-nilai seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan toleransi. Namun, berbagai tantangan seperti kurangnya pemahaman guru, fasilitas terbatas, dan pengaruh media negatif menghambat efektivitas pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pentingnya kolaborasi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat untuk memperkuat pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Islam. Dengan demikian, pendidikan Islam dapat berperan dalam membentuk generasi muda yang berkualitas, berakhlak mulia, dan siap menghadapi tantangan zaman.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental aspect in creating quality and integrity human resources. In line with the 4th SDGs on quality education, character education is expected to form students who are not only academically superior but also have high morality. The PKM activity, which was held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, aimed to increase students' understanding of the importance of character education based on religious values in daily life through counseling methods at SMAS Syekh-Yusuf, Tangerang City. Counseling was carried out with an interactive approach involving group discussions, case studies, and role simulations so that participants could more easily understand and internalize character values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and empathy. To measure the effectiveness of the program, pretest and posttest were given to determine the improvement of students' understanding before and after counseling. The results of the evaluation showed a significant increase in students' understanding of the concept of character education and its implementation in daily life, which was 66%. With these achievements, it is hoped that students will be able to apply character values consistently in the school and community environment and become a generation with integrity, in accordance with the goals of quality education in the SDGs.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia memiliki sejarah yang panjang, terutama ketika menghadapi pengaruh kolonialisme Belanda. Pada saat itu, pemerintah kolonial menganggap pendidikan Islam sebagai ancaman dan berusaha menekan perkembangannya melalui kebijakan-kebijakan yang membatasi seperti Ordonansi Guru dan Ordonansi Sekolah Liar. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh kolonialisme terhadap pendidikan Islam di Indonesia, terutama pada peran pesantren sebagai pusat pendidikan dan perlawanan intelektual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis dokumen dari berbagai sumber tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kolonialisme Belanda menciptakan dualisme pendidikan dengan memisahkan pendidikan Islam dengan sistem pendidikan Barat, sehingga membatasi ruang gerak pendidikan Islam. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan perlunya integrasi antara sistem pendidikan umum dan pendidikan Islam untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang kompetitif dan relevan bagi masyarakat Indonesia saat ini.

Abstract

Perayaan Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW di kalangan masyarakat Jawa, khususnya yang menganut Tarekat Samaniyah, menjadi sebuah tradisi yang kaya akan nilai-nilai spiritual dan budaya. Tarekat Samaniyah mengintegrasikan ajaran Islam dengan praktik budaya lokal, menciptakan suatu pengalaman yang memperkuat identitas keagamaan dan memperdalam kecintaan kepada Rasulullah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh Tarekat Samaniyah terhadap perilaku keagamaan masyarakat dalam konteks perayaan Maulid, serta menelusuri makna dan nilai yang terkandung dalam tradisi ini. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa meskipun dihadapkan pada tantangan globalisasi dan modernitas, praktik perayaan Maulid tetap dipertahankan sebagai bagian integral dari warisan keagamaan dan budaya. Tarekat Samaniyah berperan penting dalam membentuk moral, spiritual, dan sosial masyarakat, melalui berbagai ritual, ajaran dzikir, dan kepemimpinan mursyid. Perayaan Maulid Tarekat Samaniyah tidak hanya sekadar ritual tahunan, tetapi juga sebuah bentuk ekspresi cinta dan penghormatan kepada Nabi Muhammad, serta sarana untuk memperkuat solidaritas sosial di antara pengikutnya.

Abstract

This research uses a historical and comparative approach to determine changes in the role of Mecca in the dynamics of Islamic culture in the archipelago. Mecca, the holy city of Muslims, is not only a spiritual center and symbol of unity, but also plays a strategic role in spreading Islamic values and is popular in various parts of the world, including the archipelago in the formation of Islamic cultural identity. This study focuses on the mechanisms for the spread of Islam through various channels such as trade, bi al-har da'wah, marriage, education, and cultural acculturation which allows Islam to be widely accepted in the archipelago without any coercion. In addition, theories regarding the origins of the Islamic invasion of Indonesia, such as the Meccan, Gujarati, Persian and Chinese theories, are evaluated to understand the diversity of origins and processes of Islamization. The important role of Islamic scholars and kingdoms such as the Sultanate of Demak, Cirebon, and Banten in strengthening the spread of Islam in the region is also analyzed. This research shows that Mecca as the center of Islamic civilization has a significant influence on religious practices in the archipelago and the formation of the character of local Islamic culture, including the direction of worship centered on the Kaaba. The results of this research show that although the role of Mecca in the dynamics of Islamic culture in the archipelago continues to change, the universal Islamic values of Mecca remain relevant in responding to current challenges and in various Islamic cultures guarantee continuity cultural diversity of the archipelago.

Abstract

Ottoman Turkiye was one of the strongest empires in history, which reached the peak of glory thanks to a brilliant system of government and administration. This article examines the dynamics of administration and governance of the Ottoman Turkish government which became the foundation of its power for more than six centuries. The main focus of this research is the analysis of bureaucratic structure, the central role of the Sultan, the function of the Imperial Council (Divan), and the integration of Islamic law in the political and social system. In addition, this article reviews the Jenissari-based military system and management of conquered territories that contributed to the stability of the empire. A multidisciplinary approach is used to highlight the relationship between government policies and the socio-economic dynamics of Ottoman Turkish society. The research results show that the success of the empire did not only lie in military strength, but also in administrative efficiency that was adaptive to the challenges of the times. By highlighting this administrative legacy, this article offers a new perspective for the study of modern governance, including the values of justice, sustainability and inclusiveness that are still relevant today. This study aims to enrich the literature on Islamic history and inspire governance approaches in the contemporary era.
