Abstract

The application of Pancasila as an ethical foundation in law enforcement against criminal acts of terrorism in Indonesia highlights the importance of integrating humanitarian values and human rights principles. This article analyses how Pancasila, with its focus on social justice and humane treatment, distinguishes Indonesia's approach from repressive methods commonly applied in other countries. The research method used in this article is a descriptive qualitative approach, which includes document analysis as well as in-depth interviews with various stakeholders, including law enforcement, academics, and deradicalisation practitioners. The data obtained is analysed to evaluate the effectiveness of deradicalisation programmes based on the principles of Pancasila and its impact on reducing radicalisation as well as reintegration of former terrorism perpetrators. By emphasising the need for a balanced policy between security and human rights, the Pancasila-based approach proved to be more effective and sustainable in the long run. Challenges in the consistent application of Pancasila values are faced in the context of globalisation and advances in information technology. The results show that this approach not only reduces radicalisation but also facilitates the reintegration of former terrorism perpetrators into society. In conclusion, the application of Pancasila in law enforcement contributes significantly to national stability and can be a model for other countries in countering global terrorism.

Abstract

This research explores the application of Pancasila principles of justice in the Indonesian criminal justice system, especially in the handling of corruption cases. Pancasila as the foundation of the state contains moral and ethical values that should guide law enforcement. However, its application is often constrained by political influence and corruption within judicial institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with case studies and comparative analysis, involving literature review, expert interviews, and analysis of corruption cases in Indonesia. The findings show that while the principles of Pancasila provide a strong foundation of justice, implementation is less effective due to external influences. Judicial reform, increased transparency, and protection for corruption whistleblowers are recommended to strengthen the implementation of the Pancasila principles and their conformity with international standards.

Abstract

The role of Pancasila as a source of law within the adat (customary law) system in Indonesia involves analyzing its alignment and contemporary challenges. Pancasila, as the state ideology, serves as a fundamental guide for the formulation and application of laws throughout Indonesia. However, integrating Pancasila's values into the diverse adat legal systems presents significant challenges regarding both value alignment and practical application. This study uses qualitative analysis with a case study approach to evaluate how Pancasila’s principles are implemented in adat law and assess how well these values align with existing adat norms. Findings indicate that despite efforts to reconcile Pancasila with adat law, there are several obstacles, including differences in value interpretation, resistance from indigenous communities, and difficulties in harmonizing national and adat laws. The article concludes that a more dialogic and inclusive approach is needed to align Pancasila with adat law and recommends policy reforms and enhanced understanding of Pancasila's values at the local level to ensure fair and sustainable legal enforcement.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relevance of Pancasila in the formation of Islamic law in Indonesia through the perspective of legal syncretism. Using qualitative research methods and a normative approach, this study analyzes the interaction between the values of Pancasila and the principles of Islamic law in an effort to create a harmonious and inclusive legal system. In the Indonesian context, Pancasila as the state ideology plays an important role as a normative framework that can integrate Islamic law with national principles, such as justice, unity, humanity and divinity.Through a literature study and in-depth interviews with jurists and theologians, this research found that there is harmony between the values of Pancasila and the basic principles of Islamic law, which allows for legal syncretism. In addition, this research shows that the application of legal syncretism can be a solution in overcoming challenges arising from differences in the interpretation and application of Islamic law within the framework of the Pancasila state. The research also concludes that strengthening legal syncretism through a normative approach can support the development of a legal system that is more adaptive and responsive to the dynamics of Indonesia's multicultural and multireligious society.

Abstract

As the ideological and philosophical basis of the Indonesian state, Pancasila plays an important role in the formation of national laws and regulations. This journal examines three main aspects of the function of Pancasila in law. First, Pancasila serves as a normative framework to ensure that laws are in accordance with basic values such as justice, humanity, and unity. Second, Pancasila strengthens legal legitimacy and political consensus in the midst of modern political dynamics that are often polarized. Third, there are problems in implementing Pancasila values in law, such as inconsistencies between positive laws and people's aspirations, as well as bureaucratic constraints. In addition, the journal discusses how the values of Pancasila should be instilled and taught, how it helps strengthen constitutional democracy, as well as its relationship to economic law, human rights, environmental issues, and international law. This journal emphasizes how important it is to apply the principles of Pancasila in facing global challenges and maintaining the integrity of the nation. The research method used in this article is a qualitative approach with document analysis and literature studies on laws, court decisions, and other legal sources. The results of the study show that the application of Pancasila in law in Indonesia still faces various challenges, but it has great potential to strengthen the national legal system, especially in the aspects of social justice and constitutional democracy.

Abstract

The evolution of social media and its algorithms has transformed the dissemination of Pancasila as Indonesia’s national ideology. This study aims to analyze the representation of Pancasila in algorithmically curated digital discourse and its impact on public understanding. A qualitative approach, combining digital discourse analysis and netnography, was applied to examine content on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Findings reveal the dual role of social media algorithms: while facilitating educational content on Pancasila (e.g., religious tolerance, human rights campaigns, and nationalism), they also amplify polarizing content, hoaxes, and hate speech that contradict Pancasila values. Analysis of Pancasila’s five principles shows that conflict-driven content (e.g., ethnic-religious issues) gains higher virality due to algorithms’ prioritization of engagement metrics. The filter bubble and echo chamber phenomena exacerbate discourse fragmentation, hindering inclusive dialogue about national ideology. The study concludes that Pancasila-based digital literacy, algorithmic transparency, and multistakeholder collaboration are critical to optimizing social media’s role in strengthening national identity. Policy recommendations include integrating "social cohesion" parameters into algorithm design and regulating content to uphold diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of students' civic resilience through Civic Education (PKn) after the COVID-19 pandemic using qualitative methods based on literature review. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed students' social interaction patterns and learning methods, which have an impact on their social engagement and resilience as citizens. This study collects and evaluates literature related to the challenges of Civic Education learning and strategies for strengthening civic resilience in the post-pandemic context. The results show that participatory learning approaches, digital literacy, strengthening social values, and community service activities are key elements in strengthening students' cognitive and social resilience. Learning that integrates digital technology provides opportunities for students to participate more actively in social and political discussions. On the other hand, community service activities based on civic values help students develop a stronger sense of social responsibility. The implications of this research encourage the development of a Civic Education curriculum that is adaptive to current social and technological dynamics so that students become resilient and active citizens. This study also recommends that Civic Education be continuously updated with a more interactive and relevant approach to current needs, to enhance students' ability to participate constructively in the global community.
