Abstract

Abstract

The low level of active student participation in rural learning environments poses a significant challenge to the education system. This study aims to examine the role of Gerakan Mengajar Desa (GMD), a community-based non-formal education initiative, in fostering students’ social capital at SD Negeri 1 Sedong Lor, Cirebon Regency. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model. The findings reveal that the GMD program significantly enhances students’ self-confidence, social interaction, and active engagement in collaborative learning activities. Through contextual and participatory learning methods, GMD cultivates essential social values such as mutual cooperation, empathy, responsibility, and teamwork. These findings highlight GMD’s effectiveness as a transformative model for strengthening student character and building social capital in areas where formal education access remains limited.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the structure of partnerships formed, the implementation of development programs through such collaborations, and the readiness of foster children to engage with these programs. Employing a qualitative approach and a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation review. The findings reveal that partnerships with external institutions, such as the Child Rights Advocacy Institute (LAHA), are mutualistic in nature, grounded in principles of equality, transparency, and mutual benefit. The rehabilitation programs include skills training, religious education, legal counseling, and psychosocial support, guided by social learning theory. The readiness of foster children is influenced by both internal factors (motivation, self-awareness) and external factors (supportive environment, program delivery), which in turn affect behavioral changes, increased discipline, and active participation. These findings offer critical recommendations for strengthening partnership-based child rehabilitation programs that are aligned with the goals of civic education and social reintegration.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the deep learning model supported by the Genially platform on students' understanding of Pancasila Education. The background of this study is based on the low student learning outcomes due to the dominance of conventional methods that minimize interaction and active participation. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, involving two seventh grade classes at SMP Negeri 29 Bandung. The experimental class received learning with the deep learning model supported by Genially, while the control class used the lecture method. Data were collected through pretests and posttests with multiple-choice objective test instruments. The analysis results showed a significant increase in student understanding in the experimental class. The average posttest score of the experimental class reached 80.5, an increase of 22.3 points from the pretest, while the control class increased by 12.167 points. The independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.047 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. In addition, the decrease in the standard deviation indicates an even distribution of student understanding. It can be concluded that the integration of the deep learning model and the Genially platform is effective in significantly improving student understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on students’ collaborative skills in Pancasila Education. The background of this research is based on the importance of mastering 21st-century skills, particularly collaboration, as a crucial aspect of current educational demands. The study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two classes: an experimental class applying the Project Based Learning model and a control class using conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through essay-based tests to measure students’ collaborative skills and were analyzed using a t-test. The findings show a significant difference in posttest results between the experimental and control classes. The experimental class demonstrated a higher improvement in collaborative skills. The Project Based Learning model is considered more effective as it allows students to actively engage in teamwork, group discussions, and joint decision-making. In contrast, conventional teacher-centered learning tends to limit student interaction, which hinders the development of collaboration. Therefore, the Project Based Learning model is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy to enhance students’ collaborative skills in Pancasila Education.
