Abstract

Sebuluh Village, located in Ketungau Hulu Subdistrict, Sintang Regency, is one of the pepper-producing areas with farmer groups that manage pepper gardens. The pepper harvesting process produces waste in the form of pepper stalks, which have not been utilized by farmers. Based on literature research and observation, it is known that pepper stalks contain piperine compounds that are effective in repelling mosquitoes. In addition, the abundant cassava plants in Sebuluh Village can be used as a filler and binder in the manufacture of mosquito repellent incense. This community service program aims to process pepper stalks into mosquito repellent incense that has economic value, as well as to improve the competence of members of the Sebuluh Pepper Farmers Group in waste management, production, and product marketing. Training and assistance were provided in the form of product processing, as well as the importance of branding and attractive packaging to increase sales. An evaluation of 19 participants using N-Gain yielded a score of 0.68, which falls into the moderate category, meaning that 52.6% of participants showed an increase in the competence of the Lada Sebuluh farmer group members. There is a need to improve understanding of product branding and packaging aspects. This program also contributes positively to environmental sustainability by reducing waste, utilizing local resources sustainably, and in the long term, improving the economy of farmer groups.Valorisasi Limbah Tangkai Buah Lada Desa Sebuluh Menjadi Racun Nyamuk Bakar “Tabula Sebuluh” di Wilayah Perbatasan Indonesia–MalaysiaABSTRAKDesa Sebuluh, yang terletak di Kecamatan Ketungau Hulu, Kabupaten Sintang, merupakan salah satu penghasil lada dengan kelompok tani yang mengelola kebun lada. Proses pemanenan lada menghasilkan limbah berupa tangkai buah lada yang selama ini tidak dimanfaatkan oleh petani. Berdasarkan penelitian literatur dan observasi, diketahui bahwa tangkai buah lada mengandung senyawa piperin yang efektif dalam mengusir nyamuk. Selain itu, tanaman singkong yang melimpah di desa Sebuluh dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pengisi dan pengikat dalam pembuatan produk racun nyamuk bakar. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengolah limbah tangkai buah lada menjadi racun nyamuk bakar yang bernilai ekonomi, serta meningkatkan kompetensi anggota kelompok tani Lada Sebuluh dalam pengelolaan limbah, produksi, dan pemasaran produk. Pelatihan dan pendampingan diberikan dalam bentuk pengolahan produk, serta pentingnya branding dan pengemasan yang menarik untuk meningkatkan daya jual. Evaluasi yang dilakukan terhadap 19 peserta dengan menggunakan N-Gain mendapatkan skor 0,68 dan termasuk dalam kategori sedang, atau 52,6% peserta menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi anggota kelompok tani Lada Sebuluh. Terdapat kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai aspek branding dan pengemasan produk. Program ini juga memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kelestarian lingkungan dengan mengurangi limbah, memanfaatkan sumber daya lokal secara berkelanjutan serta jangka panjangnya dapat meningkatkan ekonomi kelompok tani.Kata Kunci :Racun nyamuk bakar; tangkai buah lada; fitokimia; Sebuluh

Abstract

Abstract: This research delves into the academic supervision in Ketungau Hulu sub-district, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan. The study employed descriptive methodology, encompassing interviews and questionnaires. Data was gathered from 3 out of 10 junior high schools situated in proximity to the border. 3 principals and 3 teachers were interviewed, with 25 teachers participating in the survey. Based on data analysis, 90% completion rate for resources, 77.33% for resources, below 90% for teacher guides and schedules. Principals effectively supervised academics (above 90% completion rate) and created supervision schedules (88% completion rate). Room for improvement in academic supervision tools, currently at 89.33% completion rate. Based on interviews, academic supervision varies based on teachers' readiness. Educators reduce apprehension by being familiar with supervision. Teachers adapt to technological constraints by using basic media. Teachers and principals collaborate post-supervision to address issues. Some teachers participate in MGMP activities, while financial and geographical constraints limit others. Principals' supervision planning needs enhancements for consistent oversight. Overcoming obstacles like technological limitations is crucial. Post-supervision evaluations and follow-up procedures are effectively executed. More effort is needed to ensure all teachers have training opportunities to enhance their competencies. Abstract

The organic waste in Jongkong Pasar Village is a serious problem. The civilian was prone to throw waste into the Kapus Hulu River that passes the village. It can disrupt the river's ecosystem balance, affecting the nutrient cycle and killing aquatic organisms, as well as damaging natural habitats. Through this issue, the community service team developed a collaborative solution for the Jongkong Pasar Village. The team collaborated with Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong Pasar, a young group that rolled as agents of change. This collaboration aimed to improve their knowledge and skills in sustainable waste management and to have a positive economic impact on Jongkong Pasar Village. The community service team implemented the bioconversion method using maggots or larvae of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) for the management of organic waste. The activity was evaluated using questionnaires, which were administered at the beginning (pre-test) and end (post-test) of the activity. The analysis results showed an N-Gain score of 0.84, indicating a high level of performance. It can be concluded that the socialization and training on organic waste management using the bioconversion method with BSF maggots were effective in enhancing the knowledge and skills of Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong members.Pengelolaan Sampah Organik Berbasis Maggot BSF: Upaya Pemuda Jongkong Pasar dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas LingkunganABSTRAKSampah organik di Desa Jongkong Pasar merupakan masalah serius yang harus diselesaikan. Masyarakat cenderung membuang sampah ke Sungai Kapus Hulu yang melintasi desa tersebut. Kegiatan ini dapat mengganggu keseimbangan ekosistem sungai, memengaruhi siklus nutrisi, membunuh organisme air, serta merusak habitat alami. Berdasarkan permasalahan ini, tim pengabdian menawarkan solusi kolaboratif untuk Desa Jongkong Pasar. Tim pengabdian berkolaborasi dengan Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong Pasar, sebuah kelompok muda yang berperan sebagai agen perubahan di Desa Jongkong Pasar. Kolaborasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong Pasar dalam pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan dan memberikan dampak ekonomi positif bagi Desa Jongkong Pasar. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini, tim pengabdian menerapkan metode biokonversi menggunakan maggot atau larva lalat Black Soldier Fly (BSF) untuk pengelolaan sampah organik. Kegiatan ini dievaluasi menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan di awal (pre-test) dan di akhir (post-test) kegiatan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,84 yang menunjukkan tingkat kinerja yang tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sosialisasi dan pelatihan pengelolaan sampah organik dengan metode biokonversi dengan maggot BSF efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong Pasar. Kata Kunci :Sampah Organik; BSF; Biokonversi; Berkelanjutan; Kualitas Lingkungan
