Abstract

Quality education is part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is important for developing critical thinking and problem solving skills in students. Mathematics as a basic discipline, plays an important role at all levels of education, including junior high school. Students' mathematical connection ability in linking mathematical concepts with various other fields and daily life, needs to be developed. However, research shows that students' mathematical connection ability are still low. This study aims to analyze and synthesize empirical findings related to students' mathematical connection ability to provide a deeper understanding. The method used in this research is systematic literature review (SLR) with three stages (planning, conducting, reporting). Data collection was obtained from data based Google Schoolar using the Publish or Perish application. The results showed that innovative learning models, such as RME, CORE, and PBL with multimedia, proved effective in enhancing students' mathematical connection ability.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum; kurikulum merdeka; sekolah menengah pertama Abstract Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is a government effort for the Indonesian education system to measure students' basic competencies in literacy and numeracy. AKM is used to assess students' academic achievements and measure their readiness to contribute and participate effectively in social and economic life. The Community Service Program (PKM), through coaching AKM Numeracy at Tadika Pertiwi Middle School, aims to train Numeracy mastery using the Blended Learning Model through modules and practice on National Assessment questions. The methods used include the initial preparation stage, such as preparing modules as learning materials; the implementation stage, such as holding question and answer sessions and discussions on Google Meet and WhatsApp; and the final stage, such as preparing a final report on the results of the activity implementation. The results of this PKM show an increase in students' understanding of AKM questions, readiness to face AKM, and an increase in the quality of schools that fall into the middle-class category. Based on the AKM Numeracy Development activities at Tadika Pertiwi Middle School, it can be concluded that (1) the PKM event ran smoothly and was attended by 23 grade 8 students at Tadika Pertiwi Middle School, (2) students better understand AKM questions and are better prepared to take part in AKM at school, and (3) Tadika Pertiwi Middle School is included in the middle class based on AKM results. Keywords: Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM); merdeka curriculum; junior high school
