Abstract

The primary needs of farmers include fertilizers, both organic and chemical fertilizers; the gap between availability and needs and fertilizer subsidies have not been able to increase agricultural production. Fertilizer problems also occur in Karo Regency in general. PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is asked to take firm action against distributors and official kiosks in Karo Regency that are proven to have committed violations or irregularities related to the distribution of subsidized fertilizers. These violations include selling above the highest retail price (HET), selling to farmers outside the electronic definitive group needs plan (e-RDKK), and selling in packages. Fertilizer availability also remains a significant problem for their farmer groups. Farmers in Nangbelawan Village sometimes innovate by making organic fertilizers from crop residues or household food consumption to overcome the scarcity of chemical fertilizers. However, the quality of this organic fertilizer cannot guarantee the quality of the crops grown by farmers. Based on the results of discussions and interviews, it was finally obtained that the Nangbelawan Village farmer group needed training on making quality organic fertilizer or compost. There is also the need for tools that can help make compost or organic fertilizer. Currently, many composter tools are sold freely, but due to limited knowledge and funds, the Nangbelawan Village Farmers Group has not been touched by this composter tool. The results of the service activities show that the Smart Composter utilizing Debok banana (banana stem) waste, cow dung, water hyacinth, and rice straw has been successfully designed. It is expected to produce compost fertilizer effectively, and this composter is very suitable for use in Nangbelawan village, where the location of the area is an agricultural and livestock area. Hence, it is rich in raw materials.

Abstract

Village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) are a government effort to empower rural communities. BUMDes was formed to become a driving force for the village economy and a source of village income. BUMDes that are managed professionally will support the realization of predetermined goals and objectives, including financial management. Problems arise due to the limited human resources of BUMDes managers. Problems arise due to the limited human resources of BUMDes managers. Socialization and training are essential so BUMDes Kekelengen Sugihen village can develop well. The strengths of BUMDes Kekelengen are that it has very fertile agricultural land, the village population is 241 heads of families, it has full support from the government, from the village to the central government, it has sufficient water sources for village needs, the economy of the Karo district and National is quite good, and the distance is quite close to the cities of Berastagi and Medan. Meanwhile, the Weaknesses are that human resources (management) lack motivation and focus and are still limited; management and admin staff are still less competent in several fields, specially making financial reports, and Office equipment is still available in the village office. If we look at opportunities, many business opportunities can still be explored, such as savings and loan cooperatives, agricultural equipment shops, and basic needs shops. Exploring the potential of villages to become agrotourism villages, as threats (Threats) are village entrepreneurs who are already active or going first, entry of entrepreneurs from outside the village, and rapid development. BUMDes financial reports should be the same as other institutions; they must be presented and managed professionally, transparently, accountable, systematically, and completely, but BUMDes Kekelengen Sugihen Village only records cash in and cash out using a manual process. Complete and systematic financial reports will be attractive to stakeholders. This service produces output in the form of an EFA (Excel For Accounting) template and the delivery of a computer that has been installed with Accurate, which can be used for bookkeeping and financial reporting for BUMDes Kekelengen, Sugihen village

Abstract

Guru adalah salah satu komponen esensial dalam suatu sistem pendidikan nasional. Peran, tugas dan tanggung jawab guru sangat penting dalam mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan nasional, yaitu mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, meningkatkan kualitas manusia Indonesia. Untuk melaksanakan fungsi, peran dan kedudukan yang sangat strategis tersebut, diperlukan guru yang profesional. Salah satu ciri profesionalisme adalah aktif melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 35 tahun 2010 Tentang Petunjuk Teknis Pelaksanaan Jabatan Fungsional Guru dan Angka Kreditnya yang berlaku efektif mulai berlaku 1 Januari 2013, dimana untuk kenaikan pangkat/ jabatan Fungsional Guru diwajibkan membuat Karya Inovatif berupa Penelitian, Karya Tulis Ilmiah, Alat Peraga, Modul, Buku, atau Karya Teknologi Pendidikan. Menurut data yang diperoleh bahwa jumlah guru SD dan SMP di Kecamatan Barus Jahe Kabupaten Karo yang masih golongan pada III cukup banyak (55%) dengan masa golongan yang sudah lama (4 – 10 tahun). Penyebab utama keterlambatan itu adalah kurangnya minat dalam membuat karya ilmiah yang menjadi persyaratan utama dalam kenaikan golongan. Berdasarkan pengakuan beberapa guru bahwa kurangnya penulisan karya ilmiah disebabkan karena beban kerja mengajar yang cukup berat ditambah dengan kurangnya motivasi untuk melaksanakan penelitian, kurangnya pengetahuan untuk mengolah data hasil penelitian dengan komputer khususnya menggunakan Software Ms Excel dan SPSS. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi para guru tersebut diatas maka kami memberikan suatu pelatihan bagaimana membuat karya ilmiah dan bagaimana cara mengolah data penelitian dengan menggunakan software Microsoft Excel dan SPSS. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada Senin, 21 November 2022 dengan peserta 19 orang guru. Dengan materi dan metode pelatihan praktek langsung di laboratorium komputer maka para guru yang mengikuti pelatihan dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang akan digunakan untuk mengolah data hasil penelitian dengan Ms. Excel dan SPSS sehingga dapat memberikan motivasi kepada guru untuk melaksanakan penelitian untuk membuat karya ilmiah yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan kualitas pendidkan dan kesejahteraan guru. Teachers are one of the essential components of a national education system. The role, duties, and responsibilities of teachers are critical in realizing the goals of national education, namely educating the nation's life and improving the quality of Indonesian people. To carry out these very strategic functions, roles, and positions, professional teachers are needed. One of the characteristics of professionalism is actively carrying out classroom action research. Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 35 of 2010 concerning Technical Instructions for the Implementation of Functional Teacher Positions and Credit Points which took effect on January 1 2013, whereby for promotion to the rank/position of Functional Teachers, it is required to do Innovative Works in the form of Research, Scientific Writing, Teaching Aids, Modules, Books, or Educational Technology Works. According to the data obtained, there are quite a lot of elementary and junior high school teachers in Barus Jahe District, Karo Regency, who are still in class III (55%) with old age groups (4-10 years). The main cause of the delay is the lack of interest in doing scientific work, which is the main requirement for a promotion. Based on the acknowledgment of several teachers that the lack of writing scientific papers was due to the quite heavy teaching workload coupled with a lack of motivation to carry out research, a lack of knowledge to process research data using computers, especially using Ms Excel and SPSS software. To overcome the problems faced by the teachers mentioned above, we provide training on how to do scientific work and how to process research data using Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. Implementation of community service activities on Monday, November 21, 2022, with 19 teacher participants. With the materials and methods of hands-on training in the computer laboratory, teachers who take part in the activity can gain knowledge and skills that will be used to process research data with Ms. Excel and SPSS to provide motivation to teachers to carry out research to create scientific work which in turn will improve the quality of education and teacher.

Abstract

Berdasarkan informasi bahwa kurangnya minat guru di SMA Masehi Berastagi untuk mengadakan penelitian tindakan kelas atau karya ilmiah disebabkan karena beban kerja mengajar yang cukup berat ditambah dengan kurangnya motivasi untuk melaksanakan penelitian, kurangnya pengetahuan untuk mengolah data hasil penelitian dengan komputer khususnya menggunakan Software Ms Excel dan SPSS. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi para guru tersebut diatas maka kami memberikan suatu pelatihan bagaimana membuat karya ilmiah dan bagaimana cara mengolah data penelitian dengan menggunakan software Microsoft Excel dan SPSS. Dengan materi dan metode pelatihan praktek langsung di laboratorium komputer maka para guru yang mengikuti pelatihan dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang akan digunakan untuk mengolah data hasil penelitian sehingga dapat memberikan motivasi kepada guru untuk melaksanakan penelitian untuk untuk membuat karya ilmiah yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan kesejahteraan guru. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada Sabtu, 2 September 2023 dengan peserta 30 orang guru. Rata-rata nilai pretest adalah 71,67 dengan standart deviasi 5,31 dan nilai post test rata-ratanya 83,70 dengan standart deviasi 4,50 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan pengetehuan setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini yaitu rata-ratanya naik sebesar 12,03 nilai, ditinjau dari standart deviasi juga mengalami penurunan sehingga dapat dikatakan perbedaan pengetahuan peserta lebih merata sehingga dengean bertambahnya pengetahuan dapat memberikan motivasi kepada guru untuk melaksanakan penelitian untuk membuat karya ilmiah yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatkan kualitas pendidkan dan kesejahteraan guru. The average pretest score was 71.67 with a standard deviation of 5.31 and the average post test score was 83.70 with a standard deviation of 4.50. This shows that there was an increase in knowledge after implementing this training activity namely, the average increased by 12 .03 value; in terms of standard deviation, it has also decreased so that it can be said that the differences in participants' knowledge are more evenly distributed so that increasing knowledge can motivate for teachers to carry out research to create scientific work which in turn will improve the quality of education and teacher welfare.
