Abstract

The aplication of customary criminal law in Rantau Limau Manis Village has been in effect since the village`s estbilishment, with its customary law based on Islamic syariah, as evidenced by the customary saying: “adat basendi syara`, syara` basendi Kitabullah.” Murder is categoryzed as a serious crime under the village`s customary law, which is reflected in the imposition on the heaviest sanctions on the perpetrator, namely the punishment of “bangun” involving the payment of a buffalo along with rice, coconuts, wgite cloth, and spices for cooking. The specipics of these materials correspond to the severity of the murder comitted. Similiarly, in Islamic criminal law, murder is also classified as a serious offense, punishable by qisas (retaliation) and diat (blood money). For intentional murder, the perpetrator faces qisas if there is no forgiveness from the victim`s family. In cases of unintentional murder and intentional murder, the perpetrator is subject to the diat penalty.

Abstract

The study was intended to analyze the limitations of notary legal responsibilities in deed creation based on regulatory regulations in Indonesia. The notary has the authority to make an authentic deed that has high proof power before the law, but its legal responsibilities are set within clear boundaries. Such restrictions include the obligation to observe the regulations of legislation, to ensure the legitimacy of information on the part of the party, to keep confidentiality, and to refuse papers that violate social or legal norms. Additionally, the role of the notary is also very important in ensuring that deeds made meet the legal requirements, do not harm either side, and are done with due diligence and transparency. The study used a regulatory approach with a normative-analysis method to explore the regulations governing the notary professions and the legal responsibilities attached to them.

Abstract

Sustainable democracy requires the active participation of the community in the supervision and implementation of the principles of constitutional law. In Sungai Piul, public awareness of their role in maintaining the sustainability of democracy still needs to be strengthened. Therefore, this socialization activity aims to increase public understanding of the importance of involvement in the democratic process, both through policy supervision and participation in elections and other democratic mechanisms. The method used in this activity is a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method to describe the role of constitutional law in supporting community participation. The results of the socialization show that increasing public understanding of democratic principles can increase active involvement in maintaining the sustainability of democracy at the local level
