Abstract

This study aims to determine: The effect of competence, facilities and infrastructure, and work environment on partially and simultaneously on the performance of tutors at the Technical Guidance Institute (Bimtek) Preparation for Selection of POLRI, TNI, and Kedinasan Taruna Adam Hawa Bandung. The population in this study were all tutors totaling 9 people. This research data was taken using a questionnaire method, then analyzed by descriptive analysis of percentage and multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of the Pearson Bivariate correlation analysis output (Pearson Product Moment) it can be concluded that the influence of competence, facilities and infrastructure, and work environment on the performance of tutors at the Technical Guidance Institute (Bimtek) for the Preparation of POLRI, TNI, and Service Taruna Adam Hawa Bandung has a partial and simultaneous influence.

Abstract

Academic supervision is an important aspect of education management that aims to improve the quality of learning. In the context of schools or educational institutions, academic supervision focuses on monitoring, evaluating and developing teacher performance and the teaching and learning process. This article discusses the role of academic supervision management, the basic principles underlying it and effective strategies that can be applied to improve the quality of learning. It also discusses the challenges faced in implementing academic supervision and recommendations for further improvement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak industrialisasi pendidikan berbasis sekolah Islam berstandar internasional terhadap kesetaraan akses pendidikan dalam perspektif Al-Qur'an. Fenomena industrialisasi pendidikan telah memunculkan tantangan dalam bentuk komersialisasi layanan pendidikan, yang berpotensi menghambat akses pendidikan bagi masyarakat ekonomi menengah ke bawah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif untuk mendalami pengalaman dan pandangan para pemangku kepentingan pendidikan Islam, termasuk kepala sekolah, guru, orang tua siswa, dan tokoh pendidikan Islam. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah Islam berstandar internasional cenderung menetapkan biaya yang tinggi, sehingga akses pendidikan menjadi terbatas bagi kalangan yang mampu secara finansial. Kondisi ini bertentangan dengan prinsip keadilan dalam pendidikan yang diajarkan dalam Al-Qur'an, yang mengamanatkan bahwa setiap individu memiliki hak yang sama untuk memperoleh pendidikan. Perspektif Al-Qur'an dan hadis mengenai pentingnya kesetaraan dan aksesibilitas pendidikan memberikan dasar untuk mengkritisi sistem pendidikan yang eksklusif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa sekolah Islam berstandar internasional perlu meninjau kembali kebijakan akses pendidikan dan mempertimbangkan model inklusif yang dapat menjembatani kesenjangan sosial dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

This article explores the contribution of curriculum innovation in writing instruction in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at junior high schools in Indonesia. Through a qualitative study design, employing semi-structured interviews with EFL teachers, the research investigates their beliefs, implementation models, and challenges encountered during curriculum changes. The findings reveal that teachers generally perceive curriculum innovation as beneficial and educative. However, the lack of resources, inadequate training, and limited institutional support are significant barriers that hinder the effective implementation of the innovations. Teachers reported that these constraints impede their ability to fully integrate and apply the new curriculum effectively in the classroom. In response, policy recommendations are made, emphasizing the importance of providing sufficient resources, ongoing professional development, and stronger institutional support. These actions would help bridge the gap between curriculum innovations and the practical realities of classroom teaching, enabling teachers to optimize the benefits of curriculum changes in EFL instruction.

Abstract

Violence in the name of religion, particularly Islam, has drawn significant global attention in recent decades. This study aims to examine the impact of violence committed in the name of Islam on the stability of Islamic education worldwide. Using a qualitative literature-based approach, the research finds that such violence disrupts educational systems, diminishes public trust in Islamic educational institutions, and fosters negative stigma against Muslims. The findings highlight the importance of strengthening inclusive and tolerant Islamic education to address these challenges.
