Abstract

The increase in motorbike vehicles continues to occur every year. This is because aggressive driving behavior in late adolescents in Makassar City. The subjects of this research consisted of 260 people aged 18-22 years who rode motorbikes in Makassar City. This research uses an aggressive driving scale and an empathy scale. The sampling technique used accidental sampling technique with data analysis using the Spearman Rho technique using SPSS IBM 24.0 for Windows. The results show that the R coefficient value is -0.375 and the p value = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a negative relationship between empathy and aggressive driving behavior in late teens. The higher the empathy, the lower the aggressive driving behavior, and vice versa. The effective contribution (R Squaredmotorbikes make it very easy for individuals to carry out daily activities. However, teenagers' involvement in aggressive driving has the potential to cause accidents. The need for empathy to position oneself so as to reduce the level of aggressiveness when driving. This research aims to determine the relationship between empathy and) of the empathy variable to aggressive driving behavior is 19.6%. The implications of this research provide an overview of the relationship between empathy and aggressive driving behavior, a scientific basis for related parties in taking management policies related to driving, as a reference in providing education so that they can be empathetic when driving.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is a problem that often occurs in the social environment. Adolescents' ability to control themselves from various deviant behaviors is an important component in reducing and avoiding various destructive actions. This research aims to determine the description of self-control among juvenile delinquency index offenders in Makassar City. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. This research involved 6 respondents who were criminals who were in conflict with the law in Makassar City. Data collection was carried out through direct observation and interviews with subjects. Interviews were carried out repeatedly on each subject to deepen information and perfect the research data, observations were carried out directly on each subject during the research process. Data analysis techniques are carried out through thematic analysis to identify general patterns, variations and similarities that arise in research subjects in order to understand hidden meanings in the data studied. The research results show that there is a role of self-control in juvenile delinquency index offenses in Makassar City. The research data shows that there is a different role in the aspect of self-control in deviant behavior committed by each juvenile delinquent subject. It is hoped that this research will be able to provide relevant information about self-control among juvenile offenders with index offenses and increase public awareness, especially teenagers, regarding self-control and destructive behavior that is detrimental in the social environment.

Abstract

Although long-distance marriage has become a common phenomenon in today's era, interpersonal conflict issues often arise within it, one of which is trust in the partner. This study aims to determine the relationship between Trust in the Partner and Interpersonal Conflict among Husbands in Long-Distance Marriages in Makassar City. This research employs a quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of married couples currently undergoing long-distance marriages in Makassar City, with a sampling technique using snowball sampling technique with 200 respondents calculated using Hair's formula. The results of this study indicate a significant negative relationship between trust in the partner and interpersonal conflict among husbands in long-distance marriages in Makassar City (r= -0.622, p=0.000). The higher the trust in the partner, the lower the interpersonal conflict among husbands, conversely, the lower the trust in the partner, the higher the interpersonal conflict among husbands. The findings of this study imply that husbands in long-distance marriages need to enhance trust in their partners to reduce interpersonal conflicts in the relationship.

Abstract

The psychological well-being of teenage girls is starting to be worrying, as evidenced by the low self-acceptance of teenage girls which can give rise to feelings of discomfort with themselves, who will use various means to change their physical appearance. This research aims to determine the influence of body image on the psychological well-being of teenage girls in Gowa Regency. The respondents in this study were 447 teenage girls in Gowa Regency. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The significance level of 0.00 (p<0.05), reveals that there is an influence of body image on the psychological well-being of teenage girls in Gowa Regency. The research results show that there is a positive influence, this is proven by a score of R = 0.376 which shows in the direction positive, which means the higher the body image, the higher the psychological well-being, and vice versa. The implications of this research can be used as a basis for teenage girls not to reject the physical changes that occur during the process of growth and development in adolescence.

Abstract

The more TikTok social media users among teenage girls, the more it will influence self acceptance of their bodies. TikTok social media can be one of the triggers for a person's dissatisfaction with their body shape due to visual content that influences the individual. This research aims to find out the relationship between self acceptance and body dissatisfaction in teenage girls who use TikTok in the city of Makassar. The research method used is a quantitative research method. The subjects in this research were teenage girls using the social media TikTok aged 11-18 years and domiciled in the city of Makassar (N = 400) who were obtained using accidental sampling techniques. Research data was tested using the Spearman rank correlation test. The measuring instruments used are the self acceptance scale and the body dissatisfaction scale. The results of the research show that there is a negative relationship between self acceptance and body dissatisfaction among teenage girls who use TikTok in the city of Makassar, amounting to (r) -0.868 with a significance level of 0.000. This research illustrates that the higher self-acceptance, the lower body dissatisfaction. The results of this research contribute to adolescent girls increasing positive self acceptance so that they can accept their bodies, thereby reducing the risk of negative things occurring due to a lack of self acceptance, one of which is body dissatisfaction. Teenagers can start by using TikTok social media wisely so that it has a positive effect on themselves. The conclusion is that from the research results, it was found that there was a negative relationship between self-acceptance and body dissatisfaction in teenage girls who use TikTok in Makassar city.
