Abstract

This study was to determine the correlation between Game-based learning and Students behavioral engagement. This study used quantitative design method which were descriptive and correlational. The instrument used in this study is questionnaire. The researchers adapted the questionnaire from Kolengen (2012) for Game-based learning and second questionnaire adapted from Setyowati (2021) for Student behavioral engagement. The respondents of this study were 65 students from grades VII C and VII D of SMP Advent Unklab. The result of this study showed that the level of used Game-based learning was 4.00 which is categorized in high level. Secondly, the level of Student behavioral engagement was 3.91 which is high level. The last result showed that there is significant correlation between Game-based learning and Student behavioral engagement.

Abstract

Review literatur ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan landasan yuridis dalam bentuk regulasi implementasi Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan praktiknya di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk memetakan perundang-undangan dan peraturan yang mengatur tentang implementasi Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam pendidikan di Indonesia. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang cukup bagi para guru Agama Kristen di sekolah dan para penyelenggara Pendidikan Keagamaan Kristen mengenai regulasi Pendidikan Agama Kristen serta peran mereka dalam praktik. Hasil kajian literatur mengungkapkan bahwa Pendidikan Agama Kristen memiliki peran yang sangat penting di masyarakat dalam membangun karakter generasi muda yang beriman dan bertaqwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa sudah ada regulasi yang cukup mengenai implementasi Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan Pendidikan Keagamaan Kristen di tingkat satuan pendidikan. Oleh sebab itu, dalam implementasi keduanya di tingkat satuan pendidikan, guru Agama Kristen dan penyelenggara Pendidikan Keagamaan Kristen wajib mendasari praktik manajemen mereka kepada regulasi yang sudah ada.

Abstract

The ability to speak English fluently and confidently opens up various opportunities, both academically and professionally. However, many students face difficulties in speaking English, which can hinder their overall language development and communication skills. This study aimed to describe students the level for each type of difficulties in speaking English. In addition to that, this study also wanted to describe the factors that had the highest score of difficulties in speaking English. The research design was descriptive quantitative method. The data were analysed by using descriptive analysis to find the mean score. Fifty-five respondents were selected by using simple random sampling. The instrument was 24-items questionnaire adapted from Turkey Ozkan (2020). The findings of this showed that public high school students of Amurang possess difficulties with the score mean of these are as lack of vocabulary (3.70), ungrammatical words (3.52), poor pronunciation (3.57), lack of confidence (3.42), and fear of making mistakes (3.62). Lack of vocabulary, ungrammatical words, poor pronunciation and fear of making mistakes were all interpreted as high difficulties and lack of confidences was interpreted as moderate difficult. The senior high school students of Amurang possess the highest difficult in lack of vocabulary. Thus, incorporating more speaking activities in the classroom and providing opportunities for regular practice can help students overcome their fear of speaking.
