Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to determine the impact of Camtasia-based learning videos on vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students at MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman Design/methods/approach – This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of 168 eighth-grade students from MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman, with a sample of 56 students selected non-randomly. Class VIII.6 (28 students) was the experimental group, while Class VIII.5 (28 students) was the control group. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and documentation. Analysis included descriptive statistics, normality testing (Shapiro-Wilk), and homogeneity testing (Levene’s test). A paired-sample t-test in SPSS version 29 was used to assess the significance of vocabulary mastery differences. Findings – Findings show significant improvement in the experimental group's vocabulary mastery, with pre-test scores averaging 60.178 and post-test scores increasing to 83.035. The t-test analysis revealed a calculated "T" value of 13.487, exceeding the table "T" value of 1.70329, with a Sig. (2-tailed) result of 0.00, confirming statistical significance. These results indicate a substantial positive effect of Camtasia-based learning videos on students' vocabulary mastery. Research implications/limitations – The research's implications suggest the potential of such technological approaches in enhancing language education outcomes. Limitations include the focus on a single grade level and institution. Future research could explore long-term vocabulary retention and application to other language skills. Originality/value – This research contributes to technology-assisted language learning by providing empirical evidence on the effectiveness of Camtasia-based videos for vocabulary mastery. It offers insights for educators and curriculum developers in language education, potentially informing local educational strategies and broader technological applications in language learning. Abstrak Tujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh video pembelajaran berbasis Camtasia terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas VIII di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman. Desain/metode/pendekatan – Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen dan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi terdiri dari 168 siswa kelas VIII di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman, dengan sampel sebanyak 56 siswa yang dipilih secara non-acak. Kelas VIII.6 (28 siswa) menjadi kelompok eksperimen, sedangkan Kelas VIII.5 (28 siswa) menjadi kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test, post-test, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data meliputi statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas (Shapiro-Wilk), dan uji homogenitas (Levene's test). Uji t sampel berpasangan pada SPSS versi 29 digunakan untuk mengukur signifikansi perbedaan penguasaan kosakata. Temuan – Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penguasaan kosakata kelompok eksperimen, dengan skor rata-rata pre-test sebesar 60,178 dan meningkat menjadi 83,035 pada post-test. Analisis uji t mengungkapkan nilai "T" hitung sebesar 13,487, melebihi nilai "T" tabel sebesar 1,70329, dengan hasil Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00, yang mengonfirmasi signifikansi statistik. Hasil ini menunjukkan dampak positif yang substansial dari video pembelajaran berbasis Camtasia terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa. Implikasi/batasan penelitian – Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi pendekatan berbasis teknologi dalam meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran bahasa. Keterbatasan penelitian meliputi fokus pada satu tingkat kelas dan institusi. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengeksplorasi retensi kosakata jangka panjang dan penerapannya pada keterampilan bahasa lainnya. Orisinalitas/nilai – Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pembelajaran bahasa berbantuan teknologi dengan menyediakan bukti empiris tentang efektivitas video berbasis Camtasia untuk penguasaan kosakata. Penelitian ini menawarkan wawasan bagi pendidik dan pengembang kurikulum dalam pendidikan bahasa, serta berpotensi menginformasikan strategi pendidikan lokal dan aplikasi teknologi yang lebih luas dalam pembelajaran bahasa.

Abstract

Islamic education, with its emphasis on moral and spiritual values, offers a strong foundation for fostering an inclusive learning environment. This study aims to examine the integration of Islamic values within inclusive learning practices at a primary school and to identify the challenges encountered in their implementation. Employing a qualitative approach and a case study design, the research involved in-depth interviews with special education teachers (GPK) and direct classroom observations. The findings reveal that Islamic values—such as justice, compassion, equality, and tolerance—are effectively applied in the school's inclusive practices. Nevertheless, the implementation faces notable challenges, including a shortage of GPK personnel and limited parental acceptance of children with special needs. Despite these obstacles, the school continues to make concerted efforts to ensure that every student feels welcomed and valued. The study concludes that Islamic values play a vital role in supporting inclusive education by fostering a just, compassionate, and equitable environment that promotes both social and academic development. Abstrak: Pendidikan Islam dengan nilai-nilai moral dan spiritualnya dapat memberikan landasan yang kuat untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang inklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan nilai-nilai Islam dalam praktik pembelajaran inklusif di sekolah dasar dan mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, yang melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan guru pendamping khusus (GPK) dan observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun nilai-nilai Islam seperti keadilan, kasih sayang, kesetaraan dan toleransi telah diterapkan dengan baik, masih terdapat tantangan signifikan seperti keterbatasan jumlah GPK dan rasa keberterimaan orang tua terhadap anak mereka yang berkebutuhan khusus. Namun, upaya untuk memastikan setiap siswa merasa diterima dan dihargai terus dilakukan oleh pihak sekolah. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa nilai-nilai Islam seperti keadilan, kasih sayang, kesetaraan, dan toleransi, mendukung implementasi pendidikan inklusif yang dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang adil dan mendukung perkembangan sosial serta akademik siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the morphology in the reading text "Malin Kundang" by Dini Ayu, which is an adaptation of a classical Indonesian legend. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to identify and analyze morphological processes, including affixation, reduplication, and composition. The results of the analysis show that there are four types of affixation processes: (1) prefixation, (2) suffixation, (3) infixation, and (4) confixation, as well as the use of compound words and reduplication which enrich the language structure in the text. These findings provide insight into the linguistic creativity of authors and the contribution of morphological elements to the meaning and function of narrative in literary works. The research is expected to enrich the study of literary linguistics and provide recommendations for teaching language and literature in education.
