Abstract

Honesty is a fundamental moral value in the lives of individuals and society. In the context of Islamic education, particularly in the study of the Qur'an and Hadith, reinforcing the value of honesty becomes one of the main objectives for shaping noble character in students. This article discusses the concept of honesty in Islam based on verses from the Qur'an and the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), as well as its implementation in the learning process. This research employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods to examine verses and hadiths that emphasize the importance of honesty in words and actions. The findings indicate that honesty is one of the essential qualities required of every Muslim, as stated in various verses of the Qur'an such as Surah An-Nahl: 91-92, along with hadiths that link honesty to closeness to Allah (SWT). In the study of the Qur'an and Hadith, integrating values of honesty can be achieved through teaching strategies that focus on understanding meanings, applying them in daily life, and providing role models from educators. Thus, education on honesty within the study of the Qur'an and Hadith is expected to cultivate students who are honest in their words and actions, contributing to the creation of an integrity-driven society.

Abstract

This article explores the roles of educators and learners from the perspective of Islamic education, which is central to the learning process grounded in Islamic values. In Islam, educators function not only as instructors but also as mentors, role models, and agents of change aiming to shape insan kamil (a complete and virtuous individual). On the other hand, learners are not merely recipients of knowledge but active individuals who seek, comprehend, and apply knowledge to achieve happiness in both this world and the hereafter. This study highlights the ideal characteristics of educators and learners in Islam, such as integrity, noble character, and commitment to religious teachings. Using a conceptual approach, the article emphasizes the importance of a harmonious relationship between the two in creating a holistic and transformative educational process. These findings are relevant for building an Islamic education system that positively contributes to individual and societal development.

Abstract

 Artikel ini membahas pentingnya dan tantangan dalam pembelajaran Al-Quran Hadis di era modern. Al-Quran dan Hadis merupakan dua sumber utama ajaran Islam yang fundamental bagi pemahaman akidah, syariat, dan akhlak umat Muslim. Pembelajaran keduanya tidak hanya bertujuan untuk penguasaan teks, tetapi juga untuk penghayatan makna dan implementasi nilai-nilai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, di tengah perkembangan zaman dan beragamnya metode pendidikan, pembelajaran Al-Quran Hadis menghadapi berbagai tantangan, mulai dari kurangnya minat peserta didik, keterbatasan metode pengajaran inovatif, hingga pengaruh informasi yang tidak akurat. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini mengkaji urgensi pengembangan kurikulum dan strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pemahaman dan pengamalan Al-Quran Hadis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka (library research) dengan menganalisis berbagai literatur terkait. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan yang holistik, integrasi teknologi, serta kolaborasi antara pendidik dan masyarakat sangat diperlukan untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kondusif dan relevan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan pembelajaran Al-Quran Hadis dapat mencetak generasi Muslim yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga kokoh spiritual dan berakhlak mulia.
