Abstract

The analysis of the song prioritizes the analysis of its meaning. In song lyrics, there are many figurative meanings that if not studied more deeply will lead to misinterpretation, so that the meaning to be conveyed cannot be digested by listeners and fans of the song. Especially foreign-language songs, which must be translated first, then extra closely examine the message contained so that no misinterpretation occurs. An example of a foreign language song is Japanese. Seventeen, is a K-pop idol who has a successful career in Japan with many achievements. One of their albums titled "Fallin Flower" reached number one on Japan's billboard hot 100. In the album, there is a song "smile flower" which, ordinary people will assume that the content of the song is about smile flowers. For this reason, an in-depth analysis is needed in order to know the original meaning contained in the lyrics of the song Smile Flower. The analysis used a qualitative method with data collection through the lyrics of the song Smile Flower by Seventeen. The theory used is Riffaterre's Semiotics with a focus on non-continuity of expression through meaning replacement, meaning deviation, and meaning creation. This song has a meaning about universal love. Where, the character "I" is always comfortable by the side of "you" so that they can show all expressions such as happy, and sad without having to worry about separation. Because the character "I" will always try to make "you" happy so that "you" can always smile beautifully like a blooming flower. This is evidenced by the phrase "egao no hana sakaseyou. Sono egao, haru ni naru yo" (The smiling flower is blooming. For the sake of that smile, I will become spring. Where the lyrics are emphasized by repeating them three times.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pendidikan karakter di SD Saraswati 1 Denpasar melalui sinergi buday dan kolaborasi dengan mahasiswa dari Shittenoji University, Jepang. Mengingat pentingnya pendidikan karakter dalam perkembangan anak, program ini mengintegrasikan metode observasi, edukasi, dan pelatihan kepada siswa, guru, serta orang tua. Melalui serangkaian kegiatan, termasuk pelibatan orang tua, pelatihan untuk guru, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis karakter, program ini bertujuan untuk membangun kesadaran dan tanggung jawab bersama dalam mendidik generasi penerus. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam perilaku siswa, serta peningkatan keterlibatan orang tua dan komunitas dalam pendidikan karakter. Evaluasi yang dilakukan secara berkala membuktikan efektivitas pendekatan yang diambil, sehingga program ini diharapkan dapat berlanjut dan menjadi model bagi sekolah lain. Dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak, program ini tidak hanya memperkuat pendidikan karakter, tetapi juga menciptakan sinergi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat.

Abstract

In Japanese, the lexeme ‘mouth’ can be written using kanji 口 read as ‘kuchi’. It is a commonly used character that includes idiomatic expressions and compound words. Although ‘kuchi’ means ‘mouth’ and functions as a noun, it can change into different forms and meanings. Therefore, this research analyzed the forms and meanings of Japanese compound words formed by the lexeme ‘mouth’. The data was collected from Japanese newspaper articles from Asahi Shinbun in sentences using various compounds with the lexeme ‘mouth’ through observation and note-taking techniques. Then, the data was analyzed using the distribution method with the expansion technique. The morphology theory by Kageyama (2016) and Katamba (2018) is used to analyze Japanese compounds' construction and meaning. The results show that 120 Japanese compound words are formed by the lexeme ‘mouth’. There are three forms of compounds based on various word classes including compound nouns (consisting of noun + noun, adjective + noun, and verb + noun), compound adjectives (noun + adjective), and compound verbs (noun + verb). Based on its meaning, it can be classified into two categories, endocentric and exocentric meaning. By offering a thorough analysis of Japanese compound words containing the lexeme kuchi ‘mouth’, this research provides insights into Japanese morphosemantics by highlighting a single lexeme adopted within the compound, especially regarding forms and meanings of compound words. This research contributes to morphological theory application within Japanese studies and can be used for similar research in the future.

Abstract

Abstract This article analyzes and describes the indirect meaning of the song "Shuhasu" by Sekai no Owari. Sekai no Owari has received many awards for its songs, one of which is the song Shuhasu which was released in 2020. A qualitative method is used to analyze objects through data collection. The resource was from Shuhasu by the band Sekai no Owari. Rifaterre's semiotic theory about the unsustainability expression in poetry is used, and it can be investigated by displacing of meaning, distorting of meaning, and creating of meaning. This song has a meaning about someone who really hopes to be able to meet his lover again. This is evidence by the phrase “Dakara iwa sete yo see you again” Therefore, let me say “See you again.” It is repeated three times in the song, showing an emphasis on the meaning of the lyrics. Furthermore, in the depth, in the phrase of this song there is also the lyrics that contained the same meaning, specifically "Baby sabaku de machiawase shiyou; Baby ashita mo machiawase shiyou". Which means "(Dear, let's meet in an arid land; dear, let's meet tomorrow).” Keywords: Song, Semiotics, Shuhasu, Sekai no Owari Abstrak Artikel ini menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan tentang ketidaklangsungan makna pada lagu “Shuhasu’ karya Sekai no Owari. Sekai no Owari telah banyak mendapatkan penghargaan lewat lagu-lagu yang dibawakan, salah satunya lagu Shuhasu yang dirilis pada tahun 2020. Metode kualitatif dilakukan dalam menganalisis objek melalui pengumpulan data-data, dalam hal ini adalah teks lirik lagu Shuhasu oleh grup musik Sekai no Owari. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori semiotika Rifaterre tentang ketidaklangsungan ekspresi dalam puisi yang bisa diteliti melalui penggantian makna, penyimpangan makna, dan penciptaan makna. Pada lagu ini, memiliki makna tentang seseorang yang sangat berharap agar dapat bertemu kembali dengan kekasihnya. Hal ini dibuktikan dari kalimat “Dakara iwa sete yo see you again” (Karena itu, biarkan aku berkata "See you again") yang mengalami pengulangan sebanyak tiga kali dalam lagu tersebut, menunjukkan sebuah penekanan pada makna lirik tersebut. Tak hanya kalimat tersebut, lirik yang juga mengandung makna yang sama yaitu “Baby sabaku de machiawase shiyou”; Baby ashita mo machiawase shiyou”. Yang bermakna “(Kasih, mari bertemu di tanah yang gersang; kasih, mari kita bertemu di hari esok). Kata kunci: lagu, Semiotika, Shuhasu, Sekai no Owari

Abstract

Perkembangan pariwisata di Bali semakin membaik dari tahun 2022. Peningkatan pariwisata di Bali, telah menyebabkan peningkatan dalam sektor industri dan usaha. Setiap sektor usaha, selain menonjolkan produk yang ditawarkan kepada wisatawan, juga menonjolkan pelayanan yang baik kepada pelanggan. Toko Deus Ubud sebagai mitra merupakan produk brand pakaian asal Australia yang mana target pasar utamanya adalah Eropa dan Asia. Dalam dunia usaha di daerah pariwisata, ketrampilan berkomunikasi menjadi salah satu kunci untuk telibat dalam dunia usaha pariwisata. Ketrampilan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa asing merupakan nilai tambah dalam pemberian pelayanan, mulai dari interaksi dengan konsumen dan memberikan pelayanan secara lebih memuaskan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan keterampilan berbahasa asing bagi para pramuniaga di toko DEUS Ubud. Tim pelaksana memberikan pelatihan bahasa asing selama dua tiga bulan, yang terdiri dari dua bulan memberikan pelatihan dan satu bulan melakukan observasi untuk memantau keberhasilan pelatihan. Mitra kegiatan mampu menggunakan bahasa Jepang dalam menangani pelanggan wisatawan Jepang untuk memberikan salam dan menjelaskan harga barang. Pelanggan wisatawan Jepang merasa nyaman karena disambut dengan bahasa Jepang oleh pramuniaga di Toko DEUS Ubud.
