Abstract

Hedonism is a philosophical view that emphasizes that achieving happiness through physical and material pleasure is the most important aspect of human life. This phenomenon is quite worrying among adolescents because it can encourage them to engage in risky behavior such as substance abuse, free sex, and excessive lifestyles. Hedonism is contrary to Islamic teachings which emphasize the balance between worldly and hereafter needs. This study aims to examine the factors causing adolescent hedonism, its impacts, and the solutions offered by Islam. With a literature approach, the study explores driving factors such as the search for self-identity, peer influence, lack of parental supervision, and media influence. The impacts of hedonism include consumer behavior, decreased academic achievement, moral degradation, and psychological problems. Islam offers a solution by strengthening faith, being grateful, being content, doing good deeds, being careful in socializing, living simply, and focusing on work to counteract adolescent hedonism.

Abstract

Pancasila education plays a very important role in efforts to achieve the national mission to shape the nation's personality amid the challenges of the current globalization era. The value of character towards Pancasila Education is increasingly fading, especially among the younger generation such as students and college students. The purpose of this study is to provide a clear picture in building the character of special students in the current era of globalization. The research method used is a literature study method sourced from journals, the next method is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation. The results of this study indicate that Pancasila education has an important role in building and developing the character of students so that later it will produce a young generation that is noble and critical. The impact of the phenomenon of globalization can actually cause the decline of the nation's identity, so it is increasingly important to include Pancasila education in the curriculum. This research contributes to raising awareness of the importance of Pancasila education as a means to strengthen and maintain national identity in the face of increasing globalization.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas integrasi nilai-nilai karakter dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di sekolah dasar sebagai strategi penting dalam pendidikan karakter bangsa. Nilai-nilai seperti kejujuran, kerja sama, tanggung jawab, dan toleransi menjadi fondasi penting bagi pembentukan kepribadian siswa sejak dini. Pembelajaran IPS yang sarat dengan konteks kehidupan sosial masyarakat dapat menjadi media efektif untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai tersebut jika dirancang dengan pendekatan kontekstual dan partisipatif. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur yang mengkaji hasil-hasil penelitian terkini dalam rentang tahun 2020–2025. Penemuan utama menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kolaboratif, berbasis proyek, serta integrasi media digital mendukung penguatan karakter siswa dalam konteks pembelajaran IPS. Dengan mengaitkan materi IPS dengan kehidupan nyata, siswa tidak hanya memahami konsep, tetapi juga menginternalisasi nilai-nilai luhur dalam tindakan nyata. Diperlukan komitmen dan kreativitas guru serta dukungan kebijakan sekolah untuk menciptakan iklim pembelajaran IPS yang bermakna dan berkarakter.
