Abstract

The digital era brings great challenges to national education and religious values, where teachers play a central role as moral guides, character educators, as well as innovators in the learning process. This study aims to examine the role of teachers in maintaining the relevance of religious education and national values amid rapid technological development. Using a qualitative approach through the literature study method, this research analyzes the use of technology as a learning support tool, including digital media, technological literacy, and interaction-based learning strategies. The results show that the wise integration of technology can be an effective tool in shaping character and strengthening students' religious values, as long as it is supported by adequate digital literacy. Teachers are required to be able to direct students to utilize technology positively, understand religious teachings deeply, and apply them in everyday life. This study concludes that teachers not only act as knowledge conveyors, but also as facilitators, innovators, and moral guides who ensure that religious education remains strong, relevant, and adaptive in the digital era.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines technological innovations in Nahwu learning in Indonesia from 2020 to 2025, focusing on three dimensions: types of technology used, educational impact, and implementation challenges. Using the PRISMA framework, 20 peer-reviewed articles were selected based on clear inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings reveal that Android-based mobile applications, educational games, web platforms, and AI-powered tools are most commonly used, with recent trends favoring adaptive and interactive solutions. These technologies have enhanced student motivation, understanding, and learning flexibility. However, significant challenges persist, including limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among teachers and students, and the need for media tailored to Nahwu’s unique characteristics. Unlike previous reviews, this study holistically synthesizes innovations, impacts, and contextual obstacles, highlighting a research gap in technology integration specific to Nahwu instruction. Limitations include the relatively small number of eligible studies and the potential for publication bias. The review recommends developing context-appropriate learning media, strengthening teacher training, and improving infrastructure to maximize the transformative potential of technology in Nahwu learning. Comprehensive and adaptive strategies are essential to ensure effective and equitable technology integration, supporting the evolving needs of students and educators in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the various Arabic language curriculum models implemented across different types of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia during the period 2020–2025. This review is significant considering the evolving educational landscape of pesantren, which are increasingly responding to the demands of 21st-century learning while preserving their distinctive Islamic traditions. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was employed, analyzing ten accredited scholarly articles relevant to the topic. The findings reveal a diversity of curriculum models, including the Merdeka Curriculum, the 2013 Curriculum, Kulliyyatu al-Mu’allimîn al-Islâmiyyah, traditional salafiyah curricula, integrated curricula, and humanistic approaches. Among these, the integrative curriculum emerged as the most promising model, effectively bridging Islamic values, national education standards, and 21st-century competencies. The study concludes that Arabic curriculum transformation in pesantren is moving towards a synthesis of tradition and pedagogical innovation. The implications suggest the need for strategic collaboration among Islamic boarding schools, educational scholars, and policymakers to develop adaptive, contextual, and sustainable curricula, supported by improved teacher training and learning infrastructure.
