Abstract

This research is motivated by the development of the spread of symbols of satanism in the modern era that mushroomed in various mass media, especially video clips to give and deliver messages. One of the top bands named Dewa 19 has symbols associated with symbols of satanism and spread the symbol through the media video clips of the songs of God 19. The focus of this study is the meaning of video clip symbols scattered on each video clip kara band Dewa 19. The theory used is Charles Sanders Peirce Semiotics theory which has a triadic model and trichotomy concept consisting of Representamen, interpretant, and object. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive type. The results of the research found that the meaning of the symbols scattered in each of the video clips of the band Dewa 19 is the result of the symbolic representation of satanism, among others: Horus's Eye, Pyramid Terpanchung, Chessboard Chess, Photo of Satan Church Founder, God Ra, ANKH SymbolKeywords: semiotics, satanism, Dewa 19, symbols.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how teenagers perceive dilan film romanticism that premieredthroughout Indonesia since January 25, 2018. The method is descriptive method that aims toprovide a picture of a group of people or symptoms. The ongoing research is carried out bythe method of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation as a technique inobtaining data. The perception results shown by adolescents on Sidokapasan X Kec.Simokerto, Surabaya for the Dilan 1990 films are various, and are measured from differentperspectives. The film, titled Dilan 1990, has an influence on adolescents who are stillunstable.Keywords : Perception, Youth, Movie Theaters.

Abstract

The development of communication technology, especially in the mass media made public with easyaccess to any information. No exception to the radio, with the creation of a mobile application that canbe freely downloaded through the Android-based mobile or IOS, the radio business people hope this canbe a tool that allows listeners to access radio anywhere and anytime. The emergence of new media andnew habits effect on the mass media. To meet these objectives, used in-depth interviews with communitymembers she and friends. This study uses the basic theory of mass media effects .And the result of thisresearch is that the effect occurs in members she and friends while listening to She Radio 99.6 FM viamobile application is the addition of listening to a radio broadcast schedule, causing a feeling of comfort,and a member of she and friends is also more positive about She Radio. Habits member she and friendsin listening to the radio using the mobile application is on average duration of 2 hours/day at a time andplace to listen to the broadcast that is between 6:00 to 10:00 o'clock pm in the House, between the hoursof 21:00 to 23:00 pm in the House, and in the Office the time between the hours of 11:00 to 16:00 o’clockpm. The main reason the replacement of the radio channel to another is due to the quality of She Radiomobile application is still not good enough (often die suddenly). Abstract

LINE social media is now widely used by teenagers, the more popular is also thecurrent online media among teenagers. The impact of LINE social media on theseantisocial teenagers also leads to actions that impose physical or psychological damageon others, such as lying, stealing, attacking others, becoming cruel to others, becomingargumentative, and becoming non-discriminating sexually promiscuous.Theories usedare social media theory, antisocial behavior. This research is done by using explanativeresearch method with quantitative method. Sampling technique to be taken for this studyis purposive sampling, the number of samples as many as 60 respondents teenagers whoare domiciled in Gunungsari Surabaya.The result of LINE usage research is media whichhave very strong impact, able to give impact directly to the audience (teenager). Canshake the minds of his audience directly. This term is often used to indicate changes inindividuals caused by exposure to media. With social relationships conducted byindividuals or individuals through social networks as a means of communication tosupport success in achieving goals, then the person will be more often in using socialnetworking media.Keywords: social media applications, antisocial behavior, social media impact

Abstract

This research is motivated by social media election conducted by current students. Globalization isgrowing rapidly and sophisticated technology becomes a factor flourishing of social media. Account orownership of social media has become commonplace owned for communication activities. Social media isa medium for interaction that can facilitate in establishing communication between students who are insix faculties. Motivation is used in the selection of social media namely Motivation Diversion(Entertainment), Motivation Personal Identity (Fostering Social Affairs), and Motivation Cognitive(Knowledge). The method used in this study is a survey method is a method of research usingquestionnaires with Guttman scale as a data collection instrument. While this kind of research isdescriptive quantitative research. This study uses a model that considers the Uses and Gratificationactive audiences use media to meet their needs.
