Abstract

Social media access is increasingly mushrooming among the students into a uniquething to be studied. Of these habits of students are still considered less concerned with theenvironment, especially for the election of regional heads. Students who are a reflection ofthe current generation are expected to remain one of the indicators of change agents.The type of research is descriptive quantitative. This study will examine aspects ofthe aspects in the uses and gratification associated with voter behavior. The results showedthat there was a negative relationship between the intensity of social media access and voterbehavior. The media still has a role to play as a source of political information for voters butdoes not really affect the attitude of students in their choice.Keywords: voter behavior, social media, current generation, uses gratifications

Abstract

Research seems to aim to find out the influence of the Modern Momsh program on the television station Trans7with the pololawasuhw democratic. The results showed the influence of the Trans7 Modern Mom variable on democratic parenting in housewives which was shown from the sig t test value under the real 0.05 rate, which means that there was a significant effect of Modern Moms impressions on the democratic parenting of research respondents. Correlation test results indicate a relationship of 0.896 which means there is a relationship of 89.6% of Modern Moms shows with democratic parenting.Based on the results of the study, it appears that television, especially the modern film, can give influence to viewers, so that it can be concluded that television is an effective medium in influencing viewers.Keywords: democratic parenting, impressions, cultivation

Abstract

New media has made a significant impact on past media because new media or internet media aremore accessible and used as social media today and are used as a tool to promote goods to be soldonline.This type of research is quantitative. This research was conducted using path analysis with theStatistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program Ver. 23.00 Sample data of 100 respondents tofemale students of SMK 1 Buduran Sidoarjo.The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namelyfor female students of SMK 1 Buduran Sidoarjo because of the technique of determining the samplewith certain considerations. The researcher only conducted a study on Buduran 1 Sidoarjo VocationalHigh School students who have active Instagram users and follow lipstick seller accounts onInstagram social media.The results of this study with the independent variables of consumer attitudesand purchase interest significantly influence the dependent variable, namely endorsement. This showsthat between consumer attitudes and purchase interest is influenced by endorsement.Keywords: endorsement, consumer attitudes, purchase interest, Instagram social media.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of organizational communication on employee performance in Surabaya factory branch. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and carried out on 90 employees at Richeese Factory located in Surabaya namely Richeese Factory Royal Plaza, Masqueion Square Richeese Factory, Richeese Factory Cito, Richeese Factory Spazio, Richeese Factory Plaza Surabaya and Richeese Factory Tunjungan Plaza 2. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. Data analysis in this study uses SPSS version 24. This study uses hypothesis testing with ordinal regression method. Before being tested with this method the researcher conducted a descriptive analysis, validity test and reliability. Based on the parameter estimate table, organizational communication variables are 8,213 with sig. 0,04 (<0,05). If the significance level obtained is less than 0.05, then the variable regression coefficient is significant, and states that the independent variable is significant in influencing the dependent variable. The results of the analysis show that organizational communication has a significant positive effect on employee performance.Keywords: Organizational Communication, Organizational Communication Performance, Employee Performance, Leadership Style

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerkembangan desa wisata menjadi salah satu program pemerintah untuk bisa menjadi salah satu sendi pemasukan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Di desa wisata Kampung Lawas Maspati terdapat Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) keripik pare dan stik lidah buaya yang menyediakan makanan ringan bagi pengunjungnya. Permasalahannya adalah masih minimnya peralatan, kurangnya soft skill dan hard skill dalam mengembangkan produk dan kemasan. UKM ini mengalami hambatan produksi karena kurangnya peralatan, mereka awalnya hanya menggunakan peralatan sederhana dan seadanya, lalu kemampuan skill pegawai juga sangat terbatas di bidang produksi, sehingga tidak bisa mengembangkan pasar secara profesional serta kemasannya  masih sederhana. Solusi yang diberikan pada UKM ini antara lain: ketersediaan tambahan peralatan produksi dari segi kualitas dan kuantitas, dan pengembangan kemasan yang lebih menarik. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan kegiatan pendampingan, UKM keripik pare dan stik lidah buaya mampu menguasai pasar yang lebih luas dengan produk yang bervariasi serta menjadi produk unggulan serta iconic oleh-oleh khas dari desa wisata Kampung Lawas Maspati Kota Surabaya, dan UKM ini diharapkan akan selalu mengembangkan produk keripik pare dan stik lidah buaya sebagai produk unggulan yang memiliki banyak manfaat secara kesehatan, mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang produksi berbasis alat, serta mengembangkan varian produknya. Kata-kata Kunci: Keripik Pare, Stik Lidah Buaya, Produk Unggulan, UKM

Abstract

AbstractCharacteristic of new media create ilution as face to face communication. Internet uses morehigher have decrease communication in real world, such as with family, increase depression andloneliness. Internet remove social relationship by face to face.This research try to test uses and gratification aspect and computer mediated communicationini correlation with benefit of student media access. Sampel research is student of class X SMA 5Semarang, 36 students have selected by systematic random sampling.It concluded that more higher internet access did not affect on intensity of family interactionand friends. Person correlation showed that there’s positive correlation, strong, and significantr(36)=0,447 and 0,541, p<0,01. More higher internet acces, more higher too frequent of interactionwith family and friends.

Abstract

The Internet has changed the way people communicate including how internet have used as the tools for producing and distributing the message. In Indonesia, the number of internet user has been increasing, particularly internet user who categorized as the youth. Some research states that the high internet user in this group has the correlation with the low quality of family interaction, the decrease of the social relationship as well as the feeling of lonely. This article tries to support those arguments. By applying the theory of Uses and Gratification and Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) this article tries to understand the correlation between the intensity of new media access and the quality of interaction of the internet user to the surrounding environmental interaction. The population is a student of Untag Surabaya who representing urban youth. This research involved 388 samples that are taken by using systematic random sampling. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between the intensity of accessing new media to the quality of the surrounding environmental interaction. The test results show that there is positive, strong, and significant correlation r (388) = 0,759; and 0.759, p <0.05. The higher the intensity of new media access, the higher the interaction of the environment around the students. This study is expected to provide new insights and findings related to the quality of students' social interactions relating to the use of new media.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the influence of EXO's Brand Ambassador which was analyzed by using AIDDA (Attentions theory, Interest, Desire, Decision and Action)s towards the consumptive lifestyle of the buyer of Nature Republic products.This research used quantitative methods with descriptive data types. The number of samples for this study was 67 respondents. Sampling techniques used was probability sampling. Data collection technique used was an online questionnaire for the EXO-L Surabaya community.The data analysis used was a simple linear analysis using SPSS 20 program.Based on the results it showed that the influence of the variable Brand Ambassador EXO (X) In this study towards the consumptive lifestyle (Y) buyers of Nature Republic products was 31.4%. Abstract

UKM Fajar Jaya Sprilng belrlokasil dil delsa Laban Kelcamatan Melngantil Kabupateln Grelsilk melrupakan UKM yang belrgelrak dil pelngolahan logam. UKM ilnil tellah belrdilril seljak tahun 2003 dan tellah melmillilkil karyawan belrjumlah 4-5 orang. Saat ilnil UKM Fajar Jaya Sprilng bellum mellaksanakan Manajelmeln Usaha yang bailk selhilngga opelrasil produksil bellum maksilmal. Dilharapkan delngan manajelmeln usaha yang bailk dildapatkan aspelk-aspelk yang pelrlu dilpelrbailkil dan diltilngkatkan. Untuk pelmasaran, UKM Fajar Jaya Sprilng juga bellum mellakukan promosil mellaluil sosilal meldila/onlilnel. Olelh karelna iltu, pada kelgilatan PKM ilnil tellah dillakukan belbelrapa hal selbagail solusil untuk melnyellelsailkan pelrmasalahan aspelk manajelmeln telrselbut selpelrtil, melngadakan pellatilhan keltelrampillan pelmbukuan seldelrhana dan pelngellolaan keluangan. Pada PKM ilnil tellah melnghasillkan aplilkasil untuk melmbantu pelmbukuan seldelrhana bilsnils. Sellailn iltu juga tellah dillakukan pellatilhan dan pelndampilngan belrupa pelmbuatan lapak dilgiltal dil welbsiltel prilbadil dan dil el-commelrcel selpelrtil Ilnstagram, Shopelel, Tokopeldila, dan Facelbook. Pada kelgilatan telrselbut juga tellah dilhasillkan luaran belrupa buku peldoman pelmbuatan lapak dilgiltal.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan penting untuk dilakukan, namun akses dan pemahaman terkait teknologi yang dapat menyediakan informasi tak terbatas memerlukan kolaborasi bersama akademisi di perguruan tinggi dalam memberikan edukasi terkait literasi media. Maka, pelatihan literasi media di lingkungan pendidikan dipandang perlu untuk dilakukan, sebagai upaya untuk membangun pemahaman dan keterampilan pada guru dan siswa, khususnya di yayasan Al-Huda Surabaya, dalam menangkal hoax dan mengidentifikasi fake news selama menggunakan jaringan online pada proses belajar mengajar. Pelatihan Literasi Media terbagi ke dalam 2 (dua) kegiatan utama, yakni penyampaian materi yang berjudul Hoax, Fake News dan Disinformasi dan materi kedua yang berjudul Literasi Digital dan Etika Bermedia. Selama pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan, dilakukan juga evaluasi melalui kuisioner pre-test dan post-test yang dibagikan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan dilaksanakan. Kuisioner terdiri atas 10 (sepuluh) item pilihan ganda yang berkaitan dengan materi pelatihan. Melalui pelatihan tersebut, kompetensi guru dan kepala sekolah di yayasan Al-Huda, Surabaya dalam mengidentifikasi perbedaan berita dan menelusuri sumber informasi, baik yang valid maupun hoax atau fake news semakin meningkat dan pemahaman tersebut dapat terus disebarluaskan kepada siswa-siswi sekolah.
