Abstract

Improving excellent human resources is an initiative that aims to develop and strengthen individual and collective potential within the BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency) organization to make it a leading global player in the fields of meteorology, climatology, geophysics and instrumentation. Excellent human resources in higher education institutions have the potential to conduct quality research and produce quality scientific publications. In this action of change, the integration of the STMKG Digital publication service program, both updating the E-Journal and building the STMKG PRESS publishing media as a single digital-based and indexed account, has been successfully carried out and is the key to the realization of a comprehensive publication information system. The integration of publication services is aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness in both indexing and digital documents. This transformation will encourage teams involved in this change action plan to collaborate more, effective communication, and writing literacy. The results of this change action are expected to be useful for STMKG's internal interests, namely to facilitate the accreditation preparation process, academic data collection, and the accreditation assessment simulation process. The benefits for BMKG are the implementation of the BMKG 2022-2024 strategic plan and the improvement of superior human resources towards 500 Doctorates and BMKG Global Player.

Abstract

Kondisi hujan ekstrem di wilayah Indonesia merupakan fenomena akibat pengaruh kondisi labilitas atmosfer. Penelitian ini menggambarkan dinamika parameter mikrofisis yang berpengaruh dalam labilitas atmosfer ketika hujan es terjadi. Data yang digunakan yaitu data observasi radiosonde, reanalisis ERA5 ECMWF, dan Satelit Himawari-9.  Kondisi hujan es di wilayah Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur pada tanggal 4 November 2024 disebabkan oleh pertumbuhan awal Cumulonimbus (CB). Fase pembentukan, matang dan luruh berturut turut yaitu pukul 05.00 UTC, 06.10 UTC, dan 07.30 UTC. Citra kanal visibel menggambarkan bentuk awan, metode RGB menggambarkan kondisi lapisan dingin, dan citra IR menggambarkan suhu terendah yang diamati pada hujan es ini yaitu -80oC. Parameter mikrofisis vortisitas, vertical velocity, dan divergensi menunjukkan pola labil pada pukul 05.00 UTC. Nilai labilitas atmosfer pada wilayah Sidoarjo ketika pukul 00.00 UTC menunjukkan potensi adanya konveksi dengan didukung oleh kondisi yang ideal. Beberapa indeks menyatakan potensi terjadinya konveksi dan beberapa menunjukkan bahwa konveksi yang terjadi perlu dipicu oleh variabel atmosfer yang menguatkan

Abstract

For better management and planning of water resources in a basin, it is important to understand trends and predict average temperature as one of the parameters of weather and climate data. The study of weather trends using normal and local annual average temperature, comparison and observation. In this study, we will analyse the local and normal average temperature data in the city of Medan, based on the observation station in situ. The main objective of this study is to compare the normal temperature with the local station and to predict the temperature data in the city of Medan, North Sumatra by using the long term short term memory model. Based on the result of normal data science of exploring temperature with local temperature correlation, we got the display of training curve, residual plot and the scatter plot are shown using these codes. The good performance of Kualanamu and better than Deliserdang station had MSE value 0.01 and R2 value 0.98, close to zero represents better prediction quality.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengolahan data spasial diperlukan dalam administrasi dan manajemen pemerintahan di berbagai wilayah, termasuk Kecamatan Pesanggrahan, Jakarta Selatan. Namun, kemampuan pengolahan data spasial oleh perangkat pemerintahan di Kecamatan Pesanggrahan masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengelola data spasial, khususnya terkait respons terhadap banjir di kecamatan tersebut. Peningkatan kapasitas dilakukan melalui kegiatan bimbingan teknis dan Forum Group Discussion (FGD) yang kemudian dievaluasi. Hasil survei sebelum dan setelah pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terkait tugas dan fungsi Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG), termasuk informasi yang disampaikan kepada masyarakat. Setelah pelatihan, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman masyarakat, khususnya terkait pengolahan data spasial dengan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dan potensi bencana hidrometeorologi di Kecamatan Pesanggrahan. Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG), Data Spasial, Kecamatan Pesanggrahan, Kapasitas Masyarakat  ABSTRACT Spatial data processing is crucial for governance in various regions, including Pesanggrahan Subdistrict, South Jakarta. However, the capability in spatial data processing among local government officials in Pesanggrahan Subdistrict is still limited. Therefore, this training aims to enhance the community's capacity in managing spatial data, especially in response to floods in the subdistrict. Capacity-building is conducted through technical guidance activities and Forum Group Discussions (FGD), followed by an evaluation. Pre-and post-training surveys show an improved understanding among the community regarding the roles and functions of the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), including the information conveyed to the public. After the training, there is a significant increase in the community's understanding, particularly in spatial data processing with Geographic Information System (GIS) and the potential risks of hydrometeorological disasters in Pesanggrahan Subdistrict. Keywords: Geographic Information System (GIS), Spatial Data, Pesanggrahan Subdistrict, Community Capacity
