Abstract

Abstract

South Tangerang City encounters a significant increase of population every year, due to the rapid development of South Tangerang City. The increase in population causes a high demand for housing, jobs, and more. These needs cause many land uses changing function. Land use change must be accompanied by transportation planning so it does not cause traffic problems like congestion. The generation model is the early stage of urban transportation planning, the modelling of trip generation and attraction in South Tangerang City is carried out to find out the factors causing the trip generation and attraction in this city and to gain the best model. The parameters of the model is the land use in the city that was received from the government of South Tangerang City. The analysis was made in stages starting from validity and reliability test, correlation test, linearity test, and the final one is multiple linear regression test with stepwise method type 1. Based on the analysis result, the factor that has the greatest influence on trip generation in South Tangerang City is number of primary educational facilities (elementary school, islamic elementary school, junior high school, and islamic junior high school) (X3) with the selected model is Y1 = 1129,265 + (383,198) X3 and the value of R2 = 0,809. Furthermore, the factor that has the greatest influence on trip attraction in South Tangerang City is number of hospitals (X6) with the selected model is Y2 = 69668,640 – (3372,120) X6 and the value of R2 = 0,826.

Abstract

PT Nikomas Gemilang area is a highly active zone. Besides being an industrial area with heavy traffic, the location has market activities with many pedestrians crossing the road, causing traffic disruptions. This research discusses the performance of a road in providing service to the traffic flow occurring on the road, analyzes the problems that hinder traffic on a section of the road, and seeks solutions to the traffic hindrances. This research aims to determine the level of service (LOS) of the road and the type of pedestrian crossing facility needs. The research uses the PKJI 2023 reference standards and the Bina Marga Guidelines of the Minister of Public Works Regulation (Permen PU) No: 02/SE/M/2018. The results of this study obtained the performance of the segment on Jalan Raya Serang, in front of the PT Nikomas Gemilang area, Kibin District, where the saturation degree on Side A was 0,70, and on Side B was 0,69 with a level of service (LOS) of C. Therefore, a future road performance estimation was conducted. The road performance feasibility for the next 2 years (2026) was obtained with an estimated saturation degree on both sides of the road of 0,82 (approaching critical). Then, the need for a type of crossing facility on Jalan Raya Serang was determined with a road type of 4/2-TT and a P value of 596 people/hour, V value of 9554 vehicles/hour, and a PV2 value of 5,44×1010, leading to the conclusion that the type of crossing facility needed is a pelican cross.

Abstract

This study evaluates the quality of urban transportation services on the Cilegon – Bojonegara route using the servqual method, which assesses the gap between passenger perception and expectations on five service dimensions. Data was obtained through questionnaires and field observations. The results of the study showed that all dimensions had a negative gap, with an average perception of 3.184 and an expectation of 4.005 The largest gap was in the guarantee dimension with a gap value of -0.960, followed by physical evidence, empathy and reliability. Meanwhile, responsiveness has the smallest gap with a value of -0.663. This indicates that the city's transportation services have not met passenger expectations, especially related to passenger comfort and safety, drivers drive recklessly. Recommendations for improvement include improving the quality of city transportation safety by optimizing driving speed to stay safe and not reckless, Improving the timeliness and clarity of the route by optimizing travel time so that it is not delayed, providing clearer routes and routes to passengers. The improvements are expected to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
