Abstract

Academic supervision plays a strategic role in ensuring the quality of learning in educational institutions, including at YLA Cibadak Vocational School. This research aims to explore the role of academic supervision in improving the quality of learning through a collaboration-oriented approach, developing teacher competence, and pedagogical innovation. Using descriptive qualitative research methods, data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of supervision documents. The research results show that effective academic supervision not only functions as an evaluation tool, but also as a medium for educational transformation that involves teachers as strategic partners. The main findings underline the importance of two-way communication patterns, preparing needs-based follow-up plans, and empowering teachers through ongoing training and mentoring. This research recommends a supervision model based on empathy and local contextualization that is able to answer the unique needs of SMK YLA Cibadak, as well as being an inspiration for other institutions. With this approach, academic supervision can be a driving force in creating a dynamic, adaptive and quality-oriented learning ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of educational management leadership in improving the quality of education in schools. In the context of education, school leadership has a significant influence on managing and developing a conducive school environment. Three research questions addressed in this study are: (1) the role of the school principal in managing education, (2) leadership strategies in creating a conducive school environment, and (3) the impact of leadership on the quality of education. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, with data collection through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results indicate that effective leadership, such as implementing participatory leadership, fostering a positive culture, and utilizing technology in management, can enhance teachers' competencies and students' learning outcomes. The study also finds that principals who successfully create a positive school culture contribute to increasing motivation and performance among all school members.

Abstract

The discussion method is an effective learning strategy for enhancing student engagement in the learning process. In this process, the teacher's role is crucial in creating an environment that supports active interaction and collaboration among students. This study identifies several key roles of the teacher in the discussion method, including being a facilitator, topic organizer, process guide, and feedback provider. The research findings indicate that teachers who actively facilitate discussions can increase student participation, develop critical thinking skills, and create a positive learning atmosphere. By effectively applying the discussion method, teachers can maximize students' potential in achieving the desired learning objectives.

Abstract

. This study aims to analyze the role of educational supervision conducted by the education office in improving the performance of school principals at SMP Islam Terpadu At Tarbiyah Nagrak. The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that educational supervision has a significant impact on the performance of school principals through managerial capacity building, monitoring of educational program implementation, and performance evaluation. The integration of Islamic values in supervision also strengthens the character of school principals as role models in applying Islamic values in the school environment. However, this study identifies several challenges, such as time constraints for supervision and a lack of understanding among supervisors regarding the context of integrated Islamic education. Recommendations include increasing the frequency and quality of supervision, providing special training for supervisors, and developing technical guidance for supervision based on Islamic values. This research is expected to contribute to the development of educational policies and supervisory practices in Islamic-based schools in Indonesia.
