Abstract

This research aims to find out or predict the number of new students who will register for admission at the UNTRIB Kalabahi campus in 2024. The data collection technique used in this research is secondary data obtained from BAAK (Student Academic Administration Bureau) UNTRIB Kalabahi from 2007 until 2023 there are 17 data. The method used in this research is the Double Exponential Smoothing method from Brown to analyze the number of new students in 2024 based on new student data in 2007-2023 by testing using 9 alpha value parameters, namely 0.1 to 0.9 by looking at the Mean value The smallest Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The research results show that the smallest MAPE value is 6.35% with an alpha parameter value of 0.5. The estimated number of new student admissions in the 2024/2025 academic year is 590 people

Abstract

ABSTRAK Provinsi NTT memiliki 22 Kabupaten/Kota, akan tetapi hanya ada 3 Kota di NTT yang dikategorikan sebagai kota inflasi yaitu Kota Kupang, Maumere dan Waingapu. Data IHK Provinsi NTT yang diambil adalah dari awal tahun 2020 sampai dengan sepertiga tahun 2023, jumlah data keseluruhan 40 data, dimana dari data tersebut berpola trend atau mengalami peningkatan. Salah satu metode untuk memprediksi data yang pola trendnya naik adalah metode pemulusan eksponensial ganda dari Brown yang dapat menyelesaikan data berpola trend. Hasil penelitian menunjukan parameter alpha (α) = 0.4 memiliki Nilai MAPE terkecil yaitu 0.53%. ABSTRACT NTT Province has 22 regencies/cities, but there are only 3 cities in NTT that are categorized as inflationary, namely Kupang, Maumere and Waingapu. The NTT Province CPI data taken is from the beginning of 2020 to the end of 2023, the total data is 40 data, where the data has a trend pattern or is experiencing an increase. One method for predicting data with an upward trend pattern is Brown's double exponential smoothing method which can resolve data with a trend pattern. The results of research show that the alpha parameter (α) = 0.4 has the smallest MAPE value, namely 0.53%.

Abstract

Very high population growth has a direct impact on drinking water needs in the Lendola Village area. This triggers competition between communities in the effort to obtain drinking water, namely by leaking drinking water pipes that pass through people's homes without caring about each other. This study aims to optimize leakage of drinking water pipes and design of piping networks in the Lendola Village area by applying a domination set to the graph. The piping network that is used according to actual conditions, then applied to the graph form then looks for the domination set to get the minimum domination node. The results of this study are in the form of domination points which are used as leak points and the creation of a drinking water piping network that passes through all of these domination points in the Lendola Village area.

Abstract

This study aimed to optimize the profit of ikat weaving production in Ternate Village, Alor Regency using the simplex method. The research focused on four types of woven products produced by the Pantai Laut weaving group, namely ikat sarongs, ikat shawls, ikat blankets, and a combination of blankets and shawls. The problem of maximizing production profit was formulated using linear programming and solved with the simplex method, supported by QM for Windows software. Primary data were obtained through direct interviews and observations with weavers to identify product prices and material costs. The mathematical model included an objective function to maximize profit and constraints based on the availability of three types of threads: cotton, misrais, and machine thread. The results showed that by using the available resources—22 heads of cotton thread, 25 heads of misrais thread, and 15 heads of machine thread—the optimal combination of products could yield a profit of IDR 4,255,000, with a total potential sales value of IDR 4,970,000. This finding demonstrates that mathematical optimization methods like the simplex method are effective tools for small-scale industries to allocate limited resources efficiently and increase income

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan konsep pewarnaan graf dengan menggunakan algoritma Sequential Coloring dan Welch – Powell dalam upaya membantu pihak terkait dalam hal ini pemerintah Desa di wilayah Pulau Alor untuk mempermudah dalam pewarnaan peta Desa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan suatu fenomena dengan menggunakan angka-angka yang menggambarkan karakteristik subjek yang diteliti. Hasil pewarnaan graf yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan jumlah warna yang dibutuhkan untuk mewarnai peta, yaitu 5 warna dengan menggunakan algoritma Sequential Coloring dan 4 warna dengan menggunakan algoritma Welch-Powell. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk mewarnai peta desa di wilayah Pulau Pantar, maka disarankan untuk menggunakan algoritma Welch-Powell karena menghasilkan jumlah warna yang minimum, yaitu 4 warna.

Abstract

The Kolana community in Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara has a social system that is still maintained today, this is marked by the existence of the king as the highest leader in the traditional structure and tribal chiefs. Each tribe has a tribal chief, each tribe consists of tribal members, namely families with certain clans. Woven cloth is one of the most important traditional objects and must be used in every traditional procession or ritual such as marriage proposals, traditional fines, until death. Each tribe has its own woven cloth with its name, motif, color and meaning. As time goes by, sacred values ​​and cultural values ​​slowly begin to shift due to various factors. This service activity aims to document traditional objects which are an inseparable part of the socio-cultural life of the people of Alor Regency, especially the Kolana people. The result of this service activity is documentation of the classification of kolana woven cloth based on name, ownership, motif and diversity.
