Abstract

Random events are events that occur randomly and cannot be predicted with certainty, therefore an appropriate model is needed to solve the problem of random events. A stochastic process is an approach that can be used to model an event that changes randomly in time parameters. Markov chain analysis is a discrete time stochastic process that must meet the Markov propert, namely the event at time t+1 depends on the event at time t. Markov chain analysis used in this study aims to predict patient status in the Kalabahi regional hospital. The data used is secondary data, namely data about the patient's condition when entering the Kalabahi Regional Hospital and the condition when leaving the Kalabahi Regional Hospital. The data obtained were 190 patients who were treated at the Kalabahi regional hospital in January 2021. The analysis began by classifying the condition or status of the patient into three, namely the condition (state) mild illness, condition (state) seriously ill and condition (state) referred. Next, a transition probability matrix (P) is made. This matrix is ​​then used to determine the steady state using the Chapman Kolmogorov equation. The results obtained are 99,0937% of patients who seek treatment at Kalabahi General Hospital will be discharged with a mild condition, 0% of patients will leave with a severe condition and 0,9063 will be discharged with a referral condition.

Abstract

Markov chain method produces probabilistic information that can be used to assist decision making. In Markov analysis, an equilibrium state is a condition in which a variable in the system ultimately carries a transition probability in a stable or unchanged state. This study aims to determine the opportunities for consumers to move from GSM cellular card brands to other GSM cellular card brands and to predict the opportunities for consumers to move GSM cellular card brands among students in the future. The data used in this study is primary data collected through the distribution of questionnaires to students of the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty, Tribuana Kalabahi University. The total sample in this study was 82 students. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the Simpati card brand was the card brand that was most widely used by FMIPA students in the future with a total of 94.6% of respondents. while the XL card brand has a 5.4% chance of moving in the future. and the US card brand has a 0% chance of moving in the future. The situation will be balanced for each card brand will remain in the 6th period.

Abstract

 Diagram making training using Microsoft Excel is a community service carried out at the Toyg State Junior High School, which is in the Toyg Village, Alor Regency. This activity was carried out for 1 day during the training. This training aims to make students understand how to present diagrams using Microsoft Excel. The material provided has been prepared before the training, namely regarding the presentation of data with diagrams in the statistics subject. The method used is presentation and then direct practice is carried out by students. The obstacle at school is that there are no computer facilities so this is a new thing for them and they are very enthusiastic about participating in this training, so that the children quickly understand what they are being trained to do.

Abstract

Counting for some children is a difficult and boring activity, this has an impact on children's interest in mathematics is low. Therefore it is necessary to make efforts to increase children's interest in mathematics. A creative, innovative and interactive and fun learning process can increase children's interest and ability towards mathematics. Besides that, fun counting activities can increase a love for mathematics and counting, this is the goal of this community service activity. Multiplication by using the jarimatics method can help students more easily understand and remember multiplication one (1) to nine (9). The target of this service is all elementary school-age children in Alaang Village, Alor Barat Laut District, Alor Regency-NTT. These activities can run with the support of the Alaang Village government and all the community, our learning activities are carried out in the open, namely the shores of Alaang beach, with the concept of learning while playing. The enthusiasm of the children was high and they were interested in and really enjoyed the process of learning to count multiplication with fingers.Keywords: Calculate Multiplication, Jarimatika method.

Abstract

The service activities carried out are in the form of learning assistance in mathematics for class VII students at Christian Middle School 03 Kalabahi, the purpose of this mentoring activity is to increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning, especially in mathematics subject material about arithmetic operations algebraic form. Class VII students of SMP Kristen 03 Kalabahi have low interest in mathematics, this can be seen from their lack of enthusiasm in learning in class and their low understanding of the material provided. This is known through observation and initial identification carried out in class. This mentoring activity is carried out through teaching and learning assistance to students using test methods, lectures, discussions and problem solving methods. At the beginning of this mentoring activity, students gave pretest with the aim of being able to find out the abilities of students before carrying out mentoring. After being provided with assistance by the service team, the students will be given posttest with the aim of knowing the level of success of the assistance carried out. The results of this activity have a very good and enthusiastic response from students to take part in good tutoring which can increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm in learning algebraic arithmetic operations.

Abstract

The Teaching Campus Program provides opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom by becoming teacher partners in the learning process at the educational level. Through this program the role of students is needed to provide better learning to schools and hone creativity. the numeracy skills of students at Christian Middle School 03 Kalabahi are very lacking because there are still many students who think that learning related to numeracy is boring and based on formulas and calculations. Assistance is carried out by providing material and questions and games related to the material. There are differences in the results before carrying out mentoring and after carrying out learning assistance where there is an increase in the results obtained from each student. the increase in students' numeracy skills affects two factors, namely factors from within the student and factors from outside the student. Factors from within the student can be seen from the ability to grasp, students' memory of the material being taught and also the seriousness of students in participating in the learning process. While the external factors of the students are seen in the classroom atmosphere and learning methods

Abstract

The community service activities carried out were in the form of learning assistance for class VII students of junior high school (SMP) Christian Middle School 03 Kalabahi. This activity aims to increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning mathematics, especially in mathematics set material. From the results of observations and identification carried out in the first week, it was found that interest in mathematics was quite low, this was known through the initial tests conducted. The results of the initial test (pre-test) are known that most of the students have not completed or obtained test scores below the minimum competency score. The results of these findings were then discussed together to design mentoring activities, the results of the pre-test were also the basis for us to carry out learning assistance, with the hope that students could increase their interest in learning mathematics and increase their grades in mathematics. After learning assistance for some time then a final test is carried out to evaluate the process that has been carried out, from the results of the final test (post test) a change is obtained in the grades obtained by each student when compared to the initial test (pre test).

Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kalabahi have low interest in mathematics, this can be seen from their lack of enthusiasm in learning in class and their low understanding of the material provided. Abstract

Literacy activities are activities that are being actively encouraged to become a culture in the world of education. It is hoped that literacy activities will become a new culture and habit. The Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM) is one of the programs organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The Teaching Campus Program is one of the programs in the Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM) which has the aim of assisting literacy, numeracy, technology adaptation learning, assisting school administration and teachers. One of the schools targeted in the Teaching Campus Program Batch 4. UPTD SMP NEGERI 2 KALABAHI is one of the target schools for teaching campus activities (KM4), this school is located in East Welai Village, Teluk Mutiara District, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Literacy activities that we carry out include making a literacy schedule every day, making class bulletins for literacy activities in class and outside the classroom, making fruit name charts in Latin, Indonesian and English. Students are actively involved in every activity. Literacy, numeracy, technology adaptation, assisting school administration, and helping improve and improve student character and student interest in learning with various kinds of creative learning.

Abstract

Technology is an inseparable part of society in the 4.0 era, the enthusiasm to create a technology literate generation is contained in various policies in the world of education. The Teaching Campus Program is one of the flagship programs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) policy. The Teaching Campus Program is a program that provides opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom by becoming teacher partners in the learning process at the basic education level. By participating in Campus Teaching activities, students will have the opportunity to hone their soft skills and character, as well as gain teaching experience that can be recognized in the form of semester credit units (credits). The Teaching Campus Program is a collaboration whose beneficiaries are university students and students at the elementary and junior high school education levels. This program focuses on two outputs, namely competency development for program participant students through capacity building for leadership, creativity and innovation, problem solving, communication, team management, and improvement of analytical thinking, as well as increased literacy and numeracy for students in target schools. This context is getting stronger considering the condition of literacy and numeracy in Indonesia which is still low along with efforts to increase literacy and numeracy as one of the national priority agendas
