Abstract

This study aims to analyze the preparation patterns of school principals and education supervisors, and to identify issues faced in their professional development. Based on the literature analysis, it was found that the preparation of prospective school principals and supervisors requires a comprehensive approach, including formal education, professional training, and practical experience in school management. The selection process, which is often limited to administrative tests, needs to be improved with competency-based assessments to ensure that prospective school principals and supervisors have the skills that match the demands of their duties. Professional development that is carried out continuously and based on practical learning is very important to improve the quality of leadership in schools. However, the challenges faced, such as limited resources in remote areas, require adjustments to training programs that are appropriate to the local context. The quality of training programs must also include broader aspects of leadership, including interpersonal skills and change management. External factors, such as education policies and community support, also have a major influence on the success of principal and supervisor preparation programs. In addition, a clear and performance-based career system can increase the professional motivation of principals and supervisors, thereby encouraging a more productive and innovative work culture. This study concludes that to produce quality principals and supervisors, holistic policies and integration of various aspects are needed in their preparation and development process.

Abstract

Leadership in Islamic education evaluation plays a pivotal role in ensuring that evaluation processes are aligned with Islamic values and contribute significantly to improving the overall quality of education. This study discusses the conceptual foundations, essential functions, and strategic implementation of leadership in evaluation within Islamic education institutions. Using a qualitative descriptive approach supported by literature analysis, the research identifies key principles such as justice (al-‘adl), trust (amanah), and responsibility (mas’uliyyah) as core components of effective leadership in the evaluation process. These principles are not only theoretical but also deeply embedded in the ethos of Islamic education. The findings highlight that an Islamic-based leadership model in evaluation fosters not only intellectual excellence but also promotes spiritual, ethical, and moral development among learners. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the importance of participatory, transparent, and data-driven leadership strategies that are firmly grounded in Islamic ethical values to enhance institutional accountability, stakeholder trust, and the pursuit of continuous quality improvement. Ultimately, this research provides a framework for integrating Islamic leadership principles into evaluation practices to ensure a holistic and transformative educational experience.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution marked a significant milestone in the transformation of the workplace, creating a need for efficiency and more systematic structures within organizations. This development led to the emergence of various management theories, including Frederick W. Taylor's scientific management theory and Henri Fayol's general administrative theory. This study aims to examine the relationship between the changes brought about by the Industrial Revolution and the emergence of these two theories, as well as to examine their relevance and application in the context of modern management. The method used was a descriptive qualitative literature review, reviewing various classical and contemporary literature covering three main topics. The results indicate that Taylor's theory emphasizes work efficiency through standardization and scientific supervision, while Fayol's theory highlights the importance of managerial functions and structured organizational principles. Both responded to managerial challenges during the Industrial Revolution and remain relevant today, particularly in human resource management and organizational structure. The implications of this study demonstrate the need for a historical understanding of classical management theories in order to adapt these principles to address managerial challenges in the digital era and Industry 4.0.
