Abstract

This research aims to determine the ability of STBA-PIA Medan Semester IV 2021/2022 Academic Year students to use the verbs "renwei" and "yiwei" and describe the factors that influence this ability. This research uses an integrative research design, where quantitative descriptive research methods are combined with qualitative research methods. The sampling technique used the Cluster Random Sampling technique, namely 33 STBA-PIA Medan students Semester IV 2021/2022 Academic Year and Research Subjects using the Purposive Sampling technique, namely, 3 students with the highest scores and 3 students with the lowest scores. The results of data analysis show that the ability of fourth semester students is relatively high with an average score of 80. The score that appears most often (mode) is 85, the middle score (median) is 85 and the standard deviation is 13. In addition, there are 9 people (27.27%) were classified as having very high ability, 13 people (39.39%) were classified as having high ability, 8 people (24.24%) were classified as having moderate ability and there were 3 people (9.1%) who are classified as having very low abilities. The factors that influence the abilities of STBA-PIA students are motivation factors, formal presentation factors, first language factors, and environmental factors (formal and informal).

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa/i semester VI STBA-PIA T.A 2021/2022 dalam melafalkan kata homograf “的” dan “地” dan menguraikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan tersebut. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan rancangan penelitian integratif, yang dimana metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif digabungkan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Random Cluster Sampling sebanyak 37 mahasiswa/i semester VI STBA-PIA T.A 2021/2022 dan Subjek Penelitian dengan teknik Purposive Sampling yaitu, 3 mahasiswa dengan nilai tertinggi dan 3 mahasiswa dengan nilai terendah. Teknik Pengumpulan Data yang digunakan adalah tes dan wawancara.Hasil analisis data menunjukkan kemampuan mahasiswa/i semester VI tergolong kompeten dengan nilai rata-rata 87,02. Dengan nilai yang paling sering muncul (modus) adalah 100, nilai tengah (median) adalah 93,33 dan standar deviasi 13,87. Disamping itu, terdapat 19 orang (54.1%) yang digolongkan memiliki kemampuan sangat kompeten, 12 orang (32,4%) yang digolongkan memiliki kemampuan kompeten, 1 orang (2,7%) yang digolongkan memiliki kemampuan cukup kompeten, 3 orang (8,1%) yang digolongkan tidak kompeten dan 2 orang (5,4%) yang digolongkan sangat tidak kompeten. Adapun faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa/i STBA-PIA adalah faktor motivasi faktor penyajian formal, faktor bahasa pertama, dan faktor lingkungan. ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to determine the ability of sixth semester students of STBA-PIA T.A 2021/2022 in pronouncing the homograph words "的" and "地" and to describe the factors that influence this ability. To achieve this goal, researchers used an integrative research design, in which quantitative descriptive research methods were combined with qualitative research methods. The sampling technique used the Random Cluster Sampling technique as many as 37 students in the sixth semester of STBA-PIA T.A 2021/2022 and the research subjects used the Purposive Sampling technique, namely, 3 students with the highest scores and 3 students with the lowest scores. The data collection techniques used were tests and interviews.The results of data analysis show that the abilities of sixth semester students are classified as competent with an average score of 87.02. With the value that appears most frequently (mode) is 100, the middle value (median) is 93.33 and the standard deviation is 13.87. Apart from that, there were 19 people (54.1%) who were classified as having very competent abilities, 12 people (32.4%) who were classified as having competent abilities, 1 person (2.7%) who were classified as having quite competent abilities, 3 people (8 .1%) were classified as incompetent and 2 people (5.4%) were classified as very incompetent. The factors that influence the abilities of STBA-PIA students are motivation factors, formal presentation factors, first language factors, and environmental factors.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sejauh mana tingkat kemampuan mahasiswa Semester IV STBA – PIA Medan dalam menggunakan kata 暂时 (zànshí) dan 临时 (línshí). Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dimana populasi berjumlah 132 orang mahasiswa, dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling yaitu 40 orang mahasiswa semester IV STBA-PIA Medan T.A. 2021/2022 sebagai sampel penelitian ini. Instrumen dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan memberikan soal tes kepada sampel. Validitas pada penelitian ini menggunakan validitas isi, dan perhitungan soal tes masing-masing kata berjumlah 10 soal dengan menggunakan rumus KR-20. Nilai reliabilitas instrumen kata 暂时 (zànshí) tinggi yakni 0.62 dan nilai reliabilitas instrumen kata  临时 (línshí) juga tinggi yakni 0.66. Analisis hasil uji kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan kata 暂时 (zànshí) menunjukkan rata-rata 67 yang termasuk dalam kategori tidak kompeten, sedangkan hasil uji kemampuan mahasiswa menggunakan kata 临时 (línshí) menunjukkan rata-rata 68.25 juga termasuk kedalam kategori tidak kompeten. ABSTRACTThis research aims to describe the level of ability of Semester IV STBA – PIA Medan students in using the words 暂时 (zànshí) and 临时 (línshí). To achieve this aim, the researcher used a quantitative descriptive research design where the population was 132 students, and sampling used the Simple Random Sampling technique, namely 40 fourth semester students of STBA-PIA Medan T.A. 2021/2022 as the sample for this research. The instrument and data collection technique used was by giving test questions to the sample. Validity in this study uses content validity, and the test questions for each word are calculated as 10 questions using the KR-20 formula. The reliability value of the instrument for the word 暂时 (zànshí) is high, namely 0.62, and the reliability value for the instrument for the word 临时 (línshí) is also high, namely 0.66. Analysis of the test results of students' ability to use the word 暂时 (zànshí) shows an average of 67 which is included in the incompetent category, while the results of the test of students' ability to use the word 临时 (línshí) shows an average of 68.25 which is also included in the incompetent category.

Abstract

Personal pronouns are one of the most commonly used grammar. In Mandarin and Indonesian, there are both personal pronouns. However, because Mandarin and Indonesian come from different families, there are certainly similarities and differences in personal pronouns in the two languages. Based on this background, this study aims to describe and explain these similarities and differences. To achieve this goal, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive research method, namely by describing and explaining the similarities and differences between personal pronouns in Mandarin and Indonesian. The data collection technique used was a literature study, where the data was obtained from books related to personal pronouns in Mandarin and Indonesian. From the results of the data analysis, it was found that there were three similarities and six differences. These similarities and differences are seen in terms of the division of types, usage and position of placement in sentences.
