Penelitian ini mengulas strategi kritik yang muncul dalam debat calon presiden dan wakil presiden 2024 dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah video youtube berjudul “[ FULL ] DEBAT PERTAMA CALON PRESIDEN 2024” yang dirilis pada tanggal 12 Desember 2023, “[ FULL ] DEBAT KEDUA CALON PRESIDEN 2024”, yang dirilis pada tanggal22Desember 2024, “[ FULL ] DEBAT KETIGA CALON PRESIDEN 2024”, yang dirilis pada tanggal 7 Januari 2024, dan “[FULL ] DEBAT KEEMPAT CALON PRESIDEN 2024” yang dirilis pada tanggal 21 Januari 2024. Video tersebutdiakses pada tanggal 12 April 2024. Hasil analisis di atas, didapati bahwa terdapat 23 data ujaran kritik. Dalam konteks debat calon presiden dan calon wakil presiden, sebanyak 9 ujaran kritik ditemukan, baik yang dilakukan secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dari ujaran yang kritik tersebut, 3 di antaranya menggunakan penilaian negatif secara langsung, 1 menunjukkan ketidaksetujuan, 2 menyederhanakan masalah, 2 menyampaikan keraguan, dan hanya 1 mengajukan pernyataan memancing. Di sisi lain, strategi kritik tidak langsung mencakup 14 data, dengan penggunaan koreksi pada 2 data, indikasi standar pada 2 data, pengajaran pada 3 data, permintaan perubahan pada 1 data, saran untuk perubahan pada 2 data, ekspresi ketidakpastian pada 1 data, dan petunjuk lainnya pada 3 data.

This research is a type of qualitative descriptive study that uses the "listening" method with the "note-taking" technique to collect data. The aim of this study is to describe the lexical aspects of antonymy in the first part of the trilogy novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk “Catatan Buat Emak” by Ahmad Tohari, which was published in 1982. The object of this research is antonymy (opposition of meaning). The data in this research consists of utterances or dialogues between characters in the Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk novel, which contain oppositions of meaning along with their context. The source of the data for this study is the Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk novel by Ahmad Tohari. The data is then analyzed using the "distribution method" with the "direct element division" (BUL) technique, followed by the binary opposition technique. The results of the data analysis generally show that the types of meaning opposition that appear in the text of the first novel of the Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk trilogy include absolute opposition, polar opposition, relational opposition, hierarchical opposition, and compound opposition. Polar opposition is the most frequently used type of meaning opposition by the author, as the author often portrays the complexity of the characters' lives in a gradational manner. Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik catat dalam mengumpulkan datanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan aspek leksikal antonimi dalam novel trilogi bagian pertama Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk “ Catatan Buat Emak” karya Ahmad Tohari yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1982. Objek penelitian ini adalah antonimi (oposisi makna). Data penenlitian ini berupa tuturan atau dialog antartokoh dalam novel ronggeng dukuh paruk yang didalamnya terdapat oposisi makna beserta konteksnya. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel ronggeng dukuh paruk karya ahmad tohari. Data penelitian kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode agih dengan teknik bagi unsur langsung (BUL) dengan teknik lanjutan oposisi dua-dua (binary oposition). Adapaun hasil analisis data secara umum menunjukkan bahwa oposisi makna yang muncul pada teks novel trilogi pertama Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk berupa oposisi mutlak, oposisi kutub, oposisi hubungan, oposisi hirarkial, dan oposisi majemuk. Oposisi kutub merupakan oposisi makna yang paling sering digunakan oleh pengarang karena pengarang sering menggambarkan kompleksitas kehidupan tokoh yang bersifat gradasi

This study aims to analyze the pattern of subject ellipsis in the clauses of Denny Caknan’s song lyrics. Ellipsis is a linguistic phenomenon in which a word or linguistic unit is not explicitly mentioned, but its meaning can be understood from the context. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this research collects data through the listening method and note-taking technique, which are then analyzed using techniques such as direct element division, inversion, ellipsis, and substitution. The findings indicate that subject ellipsis in these lyrics results in a more concise and effective narrative, although it requires contextual understanding from the listener. The listener’s understanding of subject ellipsis is highly dependent on the context of the preceding lyrics and their ability to fill in the missing syntactic elements, making them an active part of the interpretation process. These findings are expected to enrich linguistic studies on ellipsis and contribute to further research on subject ellipsis.Keywords: ellipsis, syntax, pragmatics, song lyrics, Denny Caknan

This research focuses on the Tanslation Quality of Noun Group in the Novel “The Body in the Library” by Agatha Christie to provide an explanation of the quality of the translation and find the noun groups contained in the novel. This research is important to do, because the quality of translations currently available cannot be measured for accuracy, so it can cause differences in the meaning that is conveyed from the source language to the target language. The theory used in this research is Halliday's systemic functional linguistic theory. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. This method was chosen because we wanted to describe the quality of the translation in the noun group found in the novel The Body in the Library. the data in this study using the indirect observation and transcribing technique. indirect observationis done by reading novels. While note-taking technique is a data collection technique whose data source is written data. transcribing techniqueis used to write clauses containing noun groups in the novel the body in the library by Agatha Christie. This study uses the Spradley ethnographic method in analyzing the data Based on research conducted, The results of the noun group study are found 226 data and 11 contruction. D+T noun contruction 77 (34.07%) data. The next construction is D+C+T, 42 (18.58%) Data. The following are D+E+T and D+T+Q noun group contruction. Each of them is found 28 (12.23 %) Data. D+C+T+Q noun group contruction is found 15 (6.63%) data. The T+Q construction is found 9 data (3.93%). E+T construction is found 8 (3.53%) data. The D+E+C+T and D+E+T+Q noun group constructions have the same data. Each of the is 6 (2.65%) data. Furthermore, there are constructions D+E+C+T+Q and T+T which have only 1 (0.44%) data of each. Based on quality of noun group translation viewed from Systemic Functional Linguistics, 147 ( 83%) data are accurate. 79 (17%) data are not accurate.
