Abstract

Bullying in elementary schools is a significant issue that can affect the physical, emotional, and social development of students. This research aims to identify the impact of bullying on the development of elementary school students, focusing on psychological, academic, and social relationship aspects. The study finds that students who experience bullying tend to exhibit decreased learning motivation, poor academic performance, and emotional disturbances such as anxiety and depression. Moreover, bullying victims often face difficulties in building healthy peer relationships. Therefore, efforts from schools, teachers, and parents are needed to create a safe and supportive environment to reduce and prevent bullying cases, as well as to facilitate the optimal development of students

Abstract

Social problems in elementary schools are an important aspect in children's social development. However, social problems can arise and affect students' emotional well-being and academic achievement. This study aims to identify social problems that commonly occur in elementary schools and analyze their impact on students. This research method uses literature studies and case analysis to understand the dynamics of social problems in elementary schools. The results of the study indicate that social problems in elementary schools are often related to bullying, difficulty interacting with peers, and the influence of the school environment. The impact of these problems can be emotional stress, decreased academic achievement, and difficulty in building healthy social relationships. This study recommends the importance of early intervention and support from teachers and parents to overcome social problems in elementary schools and create a safe and supportive school environment. Thus, students can develop optimally and achieve their academic and social potential.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan semangat belajar siswa Kelas III SD N Mayungan Klaten dalam materi Mengenal Hewan di Sekitar melalui penerapan metode permainan "Tebak Ciri-Ciri Hewan." Masalah awal yang ditemukan adalah rendahnya semangat belajar dan partisipasi siswa (hanya 48%) akibat metode pembelajaran yang pasif. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini menggunakan kartu gambar hewan dan meminta siswa untuk aktif mendeskripsikan ciri-ciri fisik hewan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan semangat belajar, yaitu dari 48% (Prasiklus) menjadi 75% (Siklus I) dan mencapai 93% (Siklus II). Peningkatan ini membuktikan bahwa metode permainan yang menuntut partisipasi verbal dan menyediakan unsur tantangan/penghargaan sangat efektif dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, antusias, dan menyenangkan bagi siswa SD.
