Abstract

Latar belakang masalah penelitian yaitu di kelas X pada materi ekosistem dalam perubahan lingkungan di SMKN 1 Torgamba diperoleh fakta tentang pembelajaran yang masih cenderung berpusat pada guru. Sementara itu selama proses pembelajaran para siswa hanya berperan sebagai penerima informasi tanpa di rangsang untuk dapat berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam menggali lebih banyak informasi secara mandiri,  sehingga keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa masih renda peneliti mengangkat permasalahan tersebut yaitu keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model concept attainment terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis pada Materi Ekosistem dalam perubahan lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dan teknik  pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random Sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini, siswa kelas X sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa masing-masing 27 siswa. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan berupa penerapan model concept attainment dan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan tanpa penerapan model concept attaiment. Instrumen penelitian tes  essay yang berjumlah 8 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen termasuk kategori baik dengan nilai sebesar 88,48% dan kelas kontrol dalam kategori cukup dengan nilai sebesar 57,81%. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji hipotesis hasil posttest menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dengan bantuan software IBM SPSS versi 26 diperoleh signifikan sebesar (0,001) < α (0,05), sehingga memenuhi kriteria H0 ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima,  dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran concept attainment terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi Ekosistem dalam perubahan lingkungan). Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Model Concept Attaiment, Ekosistem

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model with the socioscientific issues approach on students' science literacy on environmental pollution materials. Learning models that have not involved students' activeness in learning cause students' science literacy to be underdeveloped. In addition, learning materials that do not connect social issues or social issues make the material less relevant in daily life. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The data collection technique uses an essay question test containing 15 valid and reliable questions. The results of the normality test research use the shapiro wilk formula by using spss application the homogeneity test use the lavene test and the hypothesis test using an independent simple t-test. The results of the hypothesis test after analyzing the data show ttabel about 3.670 and the t tabel is 0.254 with a significant level of α = 0.05. Based on decision-making, the t-test on the bound variable is not greater than the alpha value, which is 0.05, so h0 and ha are accepted. Therefore, it is stated that the results of the study show how the problem-based learning learning model with the socioscientific issues approach has an effect on students' science literacy in environmental pollution material in grade x students of sma negeri 5 padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Curriculum innovation is a crucial aspect in preparing young people to face the demands of the 21st century world, which is characterised by rapid technological progress and globalisation. The study of this research uses a literature method, where literature is taken according to related references to identify various curriculum innovations that can improve students' competence in critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. The results showed that the integration of technology literacy, character education, and project-based learning are key elements in the modern curriculum. The successful implementation of these innovations depends heavily on the readiness of educators, continuous training, and support from educational institutions and the community. Comprehensive policy support and adequate resources are also needed to create an education system that is adaptive and responsive to global change. This study provides insights into strategies and best practices in curriculum design that are relevant and effective for the 21st century, with a focus on developing the skills needed for the future.
