Abstract

In recent decades, attention to the preservation of local culture, especially in the context of education, has increased. This research explores ethnomathematics as a bridge between culture and mathematical concepts through traditional games. Ethnomathematics not only functions to understand mathematical concepts in a cultural context, but also to preserve traditions. The method used is a systematic literature study with qualitative analysis of 9 articles published between 2018 and 2024. The findings show that traditional games, such as marbles, congklak, and engklek, contain various mathematical concepts, including geometry, calculation, and logic. The results of this research provide new insights for educators about the importance of cultural context in mathematics learning, and encourage the development of a more inclusive curriculum. In addition, this research contributes to preserving local culture and increasing students' understanding of mathematics. By integrating traditional games in education, it is hoped that mathematics learning will become more interesting and relevant for students.

Abstract

Etnomatematika adalah kajian yang menghubungkan konsep matematika dengan nilai-nilai budaya yang terintegrasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan konsep matematis dalam makanan tradisional Indonesia serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pelestarian kearifan lokal. Makanan tradisional Indonesia, seperti Kue Gadong, Onde-Onde, Kerak Telor, Kue Semprong, dan Wajit Cililin, secara implisit merepresentasikan prinsip-prinsip matematis, seperti pengukuran, perbandingan, dan geometri yang terwujud dalam bentuk bangun datar maupun bangun ruang. Namun, kesenjangan antara pengetahuan tradisional dan pendidikan formal sering kali menyebabkan unsur matematis tersebut terabaikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis 11 artikel yang diterbitkan dalam rentang waktu 2019-2024. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa konsep-konsep geometri dan simetri sering kali ditemukan dalam pembuatan makanan tradisional, seperti penentuan pola, ukuran, dan proporsi bahan. Hal ini mencerminkan kedalaman pengetahuan lokal yang tidak hanya bersifat teknis, tetapi juga estetis. Integrasi etnomatematika ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan memberikan peluang untuk menghadirkan pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan relevan. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya berkontribusi pada penguatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep-konsep matematis, tetapi juga menanamkan apresiasi terhadap budaya lokal sebagai bagian dari identitas nasional. Melalui integrasi ini, pendidikan dapat menjadi sarana strategis untuk melestarikan warisan budaya sekaligus mempersiapkan generasi muda menghadapi tantangan global dengan tetap berakar pada nilai-nilai lokal.

Abstract

Efficient and transparent archival management is a crucial aspect in supporting the smooth operation of higher education institutions, including IAIN Kerinci. Although there are regulations governing archival management, such as those outlined in Law No. 43 of 2009 on Archiving, archival management at IAIN Kerinci still faces various challenges, particularly related to the limited human resources (HR) with expertise in archiving and the suboptimal management of digital archives. This study aims to evaluate the existing archival management system at IAIN Kerinci, identify the challenges faced, and provide solutions through functional archivist training. The method used is a qualitative approach, conducting Functional Archivist Education and Training (Diklat) focused on improving technical competencies in managing both manual and digital archives. The results show that this training successfully enhanced archivists' skills in managing archives in a more organized, efficient, and technology-aligned manner. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of increasing HR capacity in archival management and the application of technology in digital archival systems to improve transparency and accountability. In conclusion, this training program significantly contributes to more efficient archival management at IAIN Kerinci, which in turn supports administrative processes and decision-making based on accurate and secure data.
