Abstract

This study aims to explore the communication strategies of IAIN Curup’s Public Relations (PR) in branding the campus through the utilization of social media for the promotion of new student admissions. Every academic year, higher education institutions face the challenge of declining numbers of prospective new students, which becomes a seasonal concern. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a field research method to uncover the underlying phenomena related to the promotional strategies. Informants were selected using purposive sampling to obtain maximal data. The results indicate that the role of the PR department in higher education is highly strategic in ensuring the dissemination of information regarding the institution's vision, mission, and leadership policies to the public, as part of institutional branding. The task of PR is to create a positive perception in the community about the campus through various branding attributes. Furthermore, from 2019 to 2022, IAIN Curup’s PR utilized seven social media platforms for campus branding, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), YouTube, and TikTok. The use of these social media platforms successfully reached thousands of followers and visitors. Additionally, the branding strategy was realized through planning, implementation, and evaluation to enhance the effectiveness of new student admission promotions.

Abstract

The practice of female circumcision existed long before Islam came in the 16th century BC in South Africa, Southwest Asia, Judaism, Arabia and Egypt. Islamic teachings legalize obligatory circumcision for men and honor for women. However, in a medical review, female circumcision is prohibited on the grounds that it violates human rights and harms women. The emergence of this difference is motivated by a generalized definition and practice of circumcision. This research is a library research using descriptive method and drawing conclusions using deductive thinking. The research found that circumcision or Female Genitical Mutilation (FGM) in the medical formulation as recommended by WHO is a practice that violates Human Rights (HAM) and harms women's rights practiced in more than 30 countries with five types: eliminating, cutting, stabbing, sewing and damage the female organs. The practice of female circumcision (khifad) in Islam only scratches the upper female genital skin in the form of a cock's comb, the status of female circumcision according to Islam refering to most scholars is "sunnah" which is a glory. Nobility is meant from two sides, compliance with the Shari'a and respect in social life carried by a circumcised woman according to the qaidah al-'adat al-muhkam.

Abstract

The problem in this study is how to implement the home renovation program carried out by BAZNAS in Pasaman Regency and see how effective it is. The study used qualitative methods, to collect data and information by means of observation and interviews. Processing the data used a qualitative descriptive analysis method, namely explaining the data without using calculations, doing reasoning, analyzing, and responding to actual facts. The results of the research, implementation of the home renovation program, namely BAZNAS composes, makes programs and budgets for home renovations. Mustahik candidates must complete the requirements made by BAZNAS. Each mustahik gets Rp. 15,000,000.00, of the funds mustahik must be good at managing the funds given. BAZNAS did not specify the shape of the house to be built. From 2020 to 2022, there are still nine mustahik recipients of program assistance who have not used the funds provided. The reason mustahik has not dared to build a house with such large funds. Judging from its effectiveness, BAZNAS has not been effective in carrying out home renovation programs. Program formulation that has not been achieved, also its achievements have not been effective, supervision and control that does not exist, transparency and review are not under control. As a result, it is not known whether mustahik has used the funds given to renovate the house.

Abstract

Diversion of Waqf Nazhir Analysis of the BWI No. 1 of 2020 concerning Guidelines for Waqf Property Management, this study aims to elaborate on waqf, dismissal and replacement of waqf nazhirs. This research uses library research presented descriptively with a normative legal approach. Data collected using literature on waqf fiqh and waqf legislation in Indonesia. This study shows that referring to the history of waqf which is used as the basis of waqf, namely the act of Umar bin Khattab endowment of land in Khaibar that Umar was ordered by the Messenger of Allah to withhold the principal and alms the proceeds. So the definition of waqf is the legal act of a person or group of people or legal entity (wakif) that separates part of his property and institutionalizes it forever for the benefit of worship or other public affairs in accordance with Islamic teachings. Nazhir plays a role in managing and utilizing waqf assets to be productive, nazhir is required to have scientific competence of amaliah, scientific shari'iyah and da'wiyah. Nazhir was given guidance and can also be dismissed by BWI if he does not carry out his duties and/or violates the prohibitions stipulated by laws and regulations

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini bagaimana implementasi program bedah rumah yang dillakukan Baznas Kabupaten Pasaman dan melihat bagaimana tingkatan efektivitasnya. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui bagaimana implementasi program bedah rumah yang dilakukan dan sejauh mana keefektivan program bedah rumah.Penelitian menggunakan metode Kualitatif, untuk mengumpulkan data dan informasi dengan cara observasi dan wawancara. Mengolah data digunakan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif yaitu memaparkan data tanpa menggunakan hitungan, melakukan penalaran, analisis, dan tanggapan terhadap fakta sebenarnya. Hasil penelitian, implementasi program bedah rumah yaitu Baznas menyusun, membuat program dan anggaran untuk bedah rumah. Calon mustahik harus melengkapi persyaratan yang dibuat oleh Baznas. Masing-masing mustahik mendapatkan sebesar Rp. 10.000.000,00, dari dana tersebut mustahik harus pandai dalam mengelola dana yang diberikan. Baznas tidak mematokkan bagaimana bentuk rumah yang akan dibangun. Mulai tahun 2017 sampai 2019 mustahik penerima bantuan program, masih ada sembilan mustahik yang belum menggunakan dana yang diberikan. Alasan mustahik belum berani untuk membangun rumah dengan dana sebesar itu. Dilihat dari efektivitasnya Baznas belum efektiv dalam menjalankan program bedah rumah. Perumusan program yang belum tercapai, juga pencapaiannya belum efektiv, pengawasan  dan pengendalian yang belum ada, transparansi dan juga peninjauan ulang belum terkendali. Akibatnya tidak diketahui apakah mustahik sudah menggunakan dana yang diberikan untuk merenovasi rumah.

Abstract

The stratification of al-maqashid al-khamsah (preserving religion, soul, reason, offspring and property) and its application in al-dharuriyah, al-hajiyah, al-tahsiniyah and al-mukammilat is a study that elaborates the implementation of the objectives of sharia in order to bring benefit and reject the glory of human life. The research method used is library research which is presented in descriptive form from literature that discusses al-maqashid al-khamsah then analyzed. The findings of this study are; The importance of al-maqashid al-khamsah maqashid al-khamsah is the purpose of shari'a to preserve (maintain) the five elements that must exist for the realization of the benefit (al-maslahat) of religion and the world. If this does not exist, it will cause damage (al-mafsadat) and even loss of life and life. There are differences in the opinion of scholars in placing the order of al-maqashid al-khamsah but what is popularly used is the opinion of al-Ghazali, namely hifzh al-din, hifzh al-nafs, hifzh al-'aql, hifzh nasl and hifzh mal. The main objective of sharia is to protect man from harm in five things maqashid al-khamsah safeguarding religion, soul, reason, offspring and property grouped into four strata namely primary needs (al-dharuriyat), secondary (al-hajiyat), complementary (al-tahsiniyat), and perfecter or complement (al-mukammilat)

Abstract

This paper aims to elaborate the concept of baliqh from the perspective of fiqh and Positive Law in Indonesia as the fuqaha's opinion about baligh and adult in Law no. 16 of 2019 concerning Amendments to Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, Law No. 24 of 2013 concerning Population Administration and Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. The research method used is a literature study by tracking, comparing and analyzing doctrinal normative law through a qualitative approach in content analysis about baligh and adulthood. The results of the research revealed that baligh in fiqh with the rusyd benchmark when referring to the signs of puberty, namely ihtilam (wet dreams for men), menstruation (for women), hair growth around the pubic and age ranges from 15 to 19 years. Whereas, in the Indonesian Positive Law, adults are classified based on interests, namely adults for marriage age limit of 19 years for men and women, adults to have population administration (KTP), driver's license and have political rights at the age of 17 years. To determine the limit of children, notary position and citizenship age 18 years while income tax, free from guardianship and recognized as labor at the age of 21 years. The determination of the limits of puberty and adulthood is included in the category of mashlahah 'ammah, namely the general benefit that concerns the interests of many people.
