Abstract

Cyanobacteria play an important role in the evolution of the earth and biosphere. Cyanobacteria play a role in the oxygenation of the atmosphere and oceans that began since the great oxidation event. These living things are the main producers in the ocean in the past and present and are the ancestors of Chloroplasts. The morphology commonly used is still difficult to read for microfossil interpretation which makes the identification of cyanobacteria in the early fossil record still ambiguous. This study was conducted to review classical and new cyanobacterial biosignatures. In addition, this study will also analyze the fossil record of cyanobacteria mentioned earlier and the challenges of molecular approaches to modern cyanobacteria. The suggestions we provide are new calibration points for molecular clocks and strategies to increase insight into the timing and patterns of cyanobacteria evolution and oxygenic photosynthesis.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze mung bean seed viability through germination observations under two different treatments. Observations were conducted over 15 days, measuring parameters including germination rate, normal seed count, abnormal seed count, and seed mortality rate. Results showed significant differences between treatments, with treatment 1 achieving 72% germination rate while treatment 2 reached 64%.

Abstract

Pondok Bali Beach, which is located in a coastal area rich in natural and cultural beauty, has great potential for ecotourism development. This research aims to analyze the potential for ecotourism at Pondok Beach in Bali and identify sustainable development strategies. The methods used include field surveys, interviews with local communities, visitors and managers, as well as SWOT to understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in ecotourism development. The parameters measured in data collection are attractions, amenities, accessibility and community involvement. The analysis results show that Pondok Bali Beach has a great opportunity to be developed as an ecotourism destination. By considering the existing attractions, as well as adequate accessibility factors, amenities and attractions, coupled with the active participation of the local community, this potential can be maximized

Abstract

This research aims to identify and document the diversity of Poaceae species on Campus I UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The Poaceae family, or grasses, have an important role in ecosystems, agriculture and the economy. This study uses direct exploration methods to observe and collect data about Poaceae species in the campus area. A total of 13 types of plants from the Poaceae family were identified, with most of them being herbaceous and one species being a tree, namely Bambusa multiplex. The Poaceae species diversity index in this area was calculated using the Shannon-Wiener formula, which shows an H' value of 2.51, indicating moderate species diversity. The results of this research provide in-depth insight into ecosystem dynamics in the campus area and support efforts to conserve biodiversity through better management strategies.
